Story
It’s me again, Taffy. I’m still looking for my new home….could it be with you?! I was returned to SPR because my beloved owner could no longer provide the care I needed due to a tragic illness. This foster home is great, but a home of my very own where I won’t ever have to leave again is what I’m dreaming of💭❤️A home where I will be the queen👑 is preferred but I CAN learn to coexist with another dog, as long as they are calm and understanding (I don’t really like dogs that do alot of zoomies, it makes me nervous!) My humans also MUST take the proper time and patience that I need to feel safe around another dog. Although I’ve grown up having play dates with other pup friends, being in the shelter for 3 weeks scared me a bit. I am not used to living with other dogs besides in my foster home, so this is all new to me. It’s been a month and I’m making progress every day! My humans need to understand that there might be a few hiccups and I can’t be given up on right away. I respond well to redirection and am good listener! ***Proper introduction techniques will be discussed during adoption. Multiple meet and greets may be required if there is another dog in the home. The rules of 3 WILL apply to me. My foster mom has been using environmental modification to help me with the other dogs—like feeding me in my own room and giving me space to myself when needed. When treats and food are around its best I go into my own space***I’m almost 4yo so I don’t do any of that puppy stuff. I don’t chew on things I shouldn’t. I go to the bathroom outside. I do tricks like lay down and roll over. You don’t even have to tell me to shake, I’ll give you my paw even if you don’t want it!🤣 My foster mom says I have a very firm paw-shake, what can I say? When snackies are involved, I know the drill✅ I’m good in or out of a kennel, but prefer to be out. I walk well on a leash with a walking collar. I love my humans deeply and like to watch wherever they are going to make sure I don’t miss out on any of the fun! My favorite activities include butt scratchies, playing frisbee/ball outside…oh and C-A-R R-I-D-E-S!!! (They think I can’t spell…humans I tell ya) Love me a good breeze with my head out the window! I am full grown at 72lbs and although I don’t really jump on humans, little toddlers might find me a bit too big. Respectful kids 5+ would be best. No cats in my home please. I know I sound really difficult😢, but with the right owner and continuing my training and confidence building, I will continue to make progress and be the bestest girl that I can be! I just need someone to give me the chance I deserve🐶❤️ Meet me and you will see how amazing I truly am!! Xoxo Taffy🐾Thank you for your interest in a Sandi Paws Rescue, Inc. Story
This adorable little girl is Zable, from the Wocket in my Pocket litter. She is currently right around 9 weeks old. She is part of litter of 13 pups who were rescued. We are not sure of breed but total cuteness. She is a typical pup who loves to play and have fun, and loves the squeaky ones there the best thing ever. Loves to be cuddled and loved on, a total love bug. She is now ready to come to WI next week in hopes of finding her loving family to enjoy life with.
