Story
Update on Molly: She has reached her goal weight of 60#'s! We are so proud of her getting her girly figure back. She's got more energy now and feels great. She gets along with all the foster dogs just fine. She more interested in looking and barking at squirrels and other varmints. Molly is back with us since her owner has fallen on difficult times. Please say a prayer and send good vibes to Doug. He’s in the hospital and going into assisted living but has major medical issues to deal with now. We always take our adopted dogs back, always have. Molly has a few pounds to shed but so far today she’s doing pretty well. She’s about 6 years old now, she did weigh 83 pounds, been current on all vaccines and preventatives. I’m sure she will make some new furiends here at the Dog House. I’m very thankful for the help from our supporters that make it possible to care for these homeless pets daily, monthly and yearly needs. She has made new furiends here at the Dog House. Plays well with Oakley and Kaci and some of the other fosters here. Just a typical hound...loves baying at wild critters in the trees and yard. She will need a secure fenced in yard. Her adoption fee is $150. Save 1 Pet is a 501 (c) 3 approved charity committed to helping homeless animals. We don't have a facility (shelter) but work out of our homes to foster the animals until they find a forever home. Please be advised that for all adoptions, we will conduct reference checks, including veterinary references. Our adoption fee for dogs includes spay/neuter, heart worm check, current vaccines, microchip, worming and heart worm/flea/tick prevention. For dog adoptions, we do conduct fence verification. When adopting an animal, you will be asked to complete our Adoption Contract

Forrest is a handsome, goofy, and curious big guy who never fails to bring a smile to your face. His playful personality and silly antics will have you laughing even on your toughest days! This wonderful boy is leash trained, house trained, crate trained, neutered, microchipped, current on all vaccines, and on heartworm prevention. He's ready to settle right into his forever home and become a beloved member of the family. Forrest's one special requirement is a securely fenced yard. He's an expert climber with a talent for finding creative ways over fences—sometimes we joke that he doesn't climb them at all, he pole vaults over them! If you interested in meeting or adopting Forrest, please go to our website www.blueskydogrescue.com to complete an adoption application and we will be in contact with you. If you do not hear from us within 48 hours of completing the application, please contact us at blueskydogrescue1@gmail.com.

Story
Annie was adopted as a puppy from a shelter in Alabama. She was a loved dog but her owners kept her on a chain because of improper fencing. Then the owner went over seas and asked if I could board til they returned. She didn’t want to send her to family because of the fact they already had two dogs and a third female would not work out. When the owner returned she found out she was expecting a baby and had lost her place to live. So she moved in with her family and surrender her dog to us but only because it was taking her too long to get stable after the baby was born. Mastani is a good dog and loved her owner very much and she waited patiently. At least the visits to take her to the park made her feel like there was still hope. Nice clean girl does well in her crate snd is house broken and crate trained. Plays well with other dogs but is better with male dogs than female.

Story
Meet Elena! Elena was born on March 22, 2026!! Elena currently weighs 21 pounds so we think she will be a large-extra large dog when full grown. We think she is a Great Dane mix. Poor Elena found herself at an overcrowded shelter with her siblings which is not a safe place to be! She was spotted there by one of our volunteers and she ended up in a wonderful foster home. From her foster mom: Elena has grown into a very loving confident pup. She was reserved at first but now she's ready for anything!! She is super sweet and very playful. She loves playing with her siblings. Elena is spayed, up to date on age appropriate shots, microchipped and ready to find her family! Elena is currently being fostered in TN but will be transported to New England for adoption. The adoption fee is $600 and that includes a health certificate and transport to New England.
