Story
Foster/Foster to Adopt/Adopt DOB 3/13/22 Dudley was a stray who was not claimed in Chowchilla. Unfortunately he got parvo but was treated and recovered quickly. Dudley is around 6 months, best breed guess is short hound mix. Dudley is sweet but feisty! He loves his foster friends and he is very food motivated. He is just starting his leash training. Dudley is almost housetrained but will still have a few accidents, we are sure he just lived outside previously. He loves to sleep in his humans bed. Dudley is fixed, chipped and fully vaccinated. If you are interested in meeting Dudley please fill out an application https://www.ozziespoundpuppies.org/index.php/applications/adoption-application/ Adoption fee is sponsored.

Story
You can fill out an adoption application online on our official website.Female basset hound mixBella’s owner, who has provided good care for her, needs to surrender Bella because of her increasing work responsibilities. Bella is a 49-pound spayed female, approximately 6+ years old and is a basset mixed with some other breed. She is up to date on all her vetting, house trained, microchipped,  and is in good health. Bella is shy and fearful of strangers, at first, but after warming  up, she loves attention and affection. She is hesitant around other dogs, slowly becoming comfortable and might play a little, but otherwise keeps to herself. Bella pulls when on leash and barks and lunges at other dogs when on the leash with her owner. She is best with dogs of similar size or larger and has never had issues with other dogs when attending day care. She has no experience with cats nor much experience with children. Visit this organization's web site to see any additional information available about this pet.July 13, 2024, 8:09 pm

Story
You can fill out an adoption application online on our official website.Otis is a jolly 11-year-old fellow, a big, beautiful, Basset boy. He is most happy when he has his dog friends and his people next to him. For his age, he is an active, healthy, curious boy who loves to play with other dogs, but mostly loves to be within sight of his human family. Otis has a strong Basset voice which we typically don't hear, but will ring loud and true when he misses the people in his life. Even when Otis is lonely he is not destructive, and we do come home to a quiet house - so we can't tell you how long his mournful sounds last. Otis is a gentleman in our home. He has had some house training regression with all that he has been through. He sleeps on a dog bed near the bed, or in an open crate in our bedroom. Being a true hound, food is an important part of his life. He has an active nose and is not beyond following it to the kitchen counter.Otis would be happiest in a home where his alone time is very limited. He would love a house with a yard, and a canine companion.Visit this organization's web site to see any additional information available about this pet.July 13, 2024, 8:09 pm

Story
You can fill out an adoption application online on our official website.  Beautiful Olive was much loved in her previous home, but is looking for a forever home, through no fault of her own. Recently, the health of her current owner has caused Olive to return to GGBR. At only 7 years old, poor Olive has already outlived two owners and one doggie companion! No one can blame her for being insecure! Olive readily uses a doggie door. She is a playful, active little gal who gets along with other dogs and enjoys her walks. Olive does not take well to being left alone and will cry and howl. Her anxiety also sometimes causes her to have accidents in the house. It is unknown whether having a doggie companion in her next home might help with Olive's separation anxiety. Her foster home has several dogs, and Olive does well with them. Olive is a timid and nervous dog, who is particularly fearful of men. She is good with women, kids and dog-savvy cats. She has chronic allergies for which she has seen a dermatologist and she takes medication and eats a special diet. Olive has recently been diagnosed with a heart murmur, which requires no medication or special treatment at this time, but which should be checked periodically and should be mentioned to her veterinarian, if she ever needs to be anesthetized. If you have an all female home with the patience to help Olive with her anxiety, are home a lot, can keep up with Olive's allergies and medications, and have a doggie door, you might have the perfect home for this lovely sweet dog. A doggie companion for Olive is not required, but it could be a plus!  Visit this organization's web site to see any additional information available about this pet.July 13, 2024, 8:09 pm
