Meet Clara, a bundle of energy wrapped in fur, and she's looking for an active family who shares her zest for life. This spirited girl thrives on physical and mental stimulation. She has settled beautifully into her foster home and is a truly sweet companion. Clara is fully housebroken, sleeps quietly in her crate at night, walks nicely on leash, and greets everyone she meets with super friendliness. She LOVES playing with other dogs and has the sweetest, personality. A fenced in yard for zooming, another dog to romp with, or multiple daily walks would make her tail wag with joy. Clara is a confident, fun-living dog who is looking for a family to match her enthusiasm for life. Be sure to complete an application on line and come to our Meet & Greet Saturdays If you are interested in this dog, please submit an application directly to our website at www.ny-petrescue.org. Story
Hi! My name is Mason and I'm the most beautiful 4 year old Foxhound and fully grown at 63 pounds. I need to find a new home because my Mom got a lung transplant so she can't take care of me anymore. I'm the sweetest boy and I have an excellent temperament. I get along great with everyone I meet and other dogs too! I've been tested with cats and I'm cool with them too! I'm a calm and sweet boy and really well behaved and so easy to live with. I'm healthy, housebroken, crate-trained and up to date on all my vaccinations. I'm praying a loving adopter finds me and gives me a forever home and my happily ever after. I promise that I'll be a great member of your family! Please reach out to Long Road Home (lrhrescue@gmail.com) to find out more info about me.

Story
Ace is a happy-go-lucky, 13 week old puppy and he is looking for a home of his own. He loves people, enjoys playing with his litter mates, and is generally an all-around good time! He is going to be lots of fun for walks & hikes and will be a pleasure to train as he grows up. If you're interested in adding this sweet pup to your household, we'd love to hear from you. This puppy Is spayed/neutered, up to date on age-appropriate vaccinations, treated for all of the intestinal parasites, and current on flea/tick and heartworm preventative. Because intestinal parasites are cyclical, your puppy may need additional treatment once you get him/her home. This is common and nothing to be alarmed about. Puppies and dogs need to be treated periodically for parasites throughout their entire lives. Visit our website to see our weekend Events here! Pups with the designated “meet me” next to their names are in CT and ready to attend adoption events. Please check with your adoption coordinator if you are interested in a specific dog prior to coming to an event, as a dog's availability to attend can change at any time. We can not guarantee approval on site at the events, so we recommend applying ahead of time. You can apply at the event, but the application process may not be able to be completed the same day. If you are not pre-approved, you are still welcome to come and meet pups at the event! The adoption fee is $600 which includes spay/neuter, up to date vaccinations, flea/tick and heartworm preventatives, and the mandatory CT HB 5368 fee. More and more of our adopters are having fun with DNA tests on their pups. You might ask yourself why our breed guess is varying degrees of difference from the DNA tests. Most of our puppies are rescued from high kill shelters or other abandonment situations and we have no info on parents. When we rescue puppies that have no background info, we make our very best educated guess as to breed mix and age. Our guesstimate comes from years and years and years of animal welfare work and training, but our guesses won't always agree with your vet, your neighbor, your DNA test, etc. The most important thing to know about your puppy's breed mix is that most likely he/she is a Super Lovable Mutt made of many many many different breeds. If you are a MA resident, your new family member is required to go through a mandatory 48 hour quarantine period at the Woburn MA isolation facility. Your new family member will be dropped off by our transport on Thursday and will be ready for you to pick him/her up on Saturday between 11 am-1 pm. An additional $100 fee will be added for any dogs picked up from the Woburn MA quarantine facility. This additional fee is necessary in order to comply with MA Order 405-CD-12 and Order 1-AHO-05. TO APPLY PLEASE GO TO www.cprdogs.com. If your application was successfully submitted you will get an automatically generated confirmation email. Please DO NOT USE the ADOPTAPET "CONTACT THIS RESCUE GROUP" form below or you may not hear from us as these often end up in spam or bouncing back. After receipt of your application, an adoption counselor will then be in touch to answer your questions about this pup, discuss the adoption process and get the ball rolling! If you have not heard from one of our volunteers within 5 days of submitting your application, please email mollibo@gmail.com.

Story
Billy is a sweet, fun, 13 wk old, mixed breed puppy and he's looking for a family of his own. Don't be fooled by his sad little look in his photos, he is just a hound dog mix and that's his houndy little face- he is actually a totally silly goofball! He loves people, is well socialized, and he likes playing with all of his littermates. This pup is well socialized, affectionate, and smart. He's going to be a pleasure to train as he grows up and will be lots of fun for walks, hikes, and playing outdoors. If you're ready for a new pup, we'd love to hear from you!
