Story
Lulu is a Frenchie - about 4-years old and 22 pounds - currently being fostered in Auburn, Alabama, who is ready for adoption. She’s a sweet girl who likes to play but is honestly just happy to be in her human’s lap. She’s great with other dogs (currently being fostered with another Frenchie, a Great Dane, and a Boston Terrier), and she especially likes to have a dog buddy at home with her when her humans go out.
She also has experience around cats, and while she will chase them, she’d be fine with a dog-savvy cat. She’s much fonder of kids, enjoying spending time with her foster parents’ pre-teens and young teens.
Potty training is a process. She still has accidents, but she’s improved quite a bit since being in foster care and having a consistent routine. She’ll stay in a crate without a problem, but without a friend in there with her, she’ll bark. If you want to take her with you, she’ll be thrilled! She’s great on a leash, loves walking, enjoys car rides, and even did great at a recent Mardi Gras parade.
Lulu is eager to learn and has great recall. She’s currently working on “sit,” but should be able to pick up other commands easily. She’s been spayed, microchipped, and is up to date on vaccines with no medical issues or special needs.
Lulu has a bit of wanderlust, which her foster parents discovered when she snuck under their six-foot privacy fence, so you’ll want to have a very secure yard for this girl. A secure privacy fence is required for Lulu but it will be well worth any extra effort because this silly little snuggle bug will pay you for your kindness in adorable snorts and contented snoring. Her tongue doesn’t quite fit in her mouth, but that just makes Lulu that much more adorable.
We believe it’s likely she was being used for breeding and then was left behind after a divorce. She’s ready for a new start and deserves a great next chapter!
