Story
In the bustling world of canine companionship, there exists a singular presence that captures the heart and imagination: Charlie, the adorable Frenchie. Picture a compact bundle of energy and personality, with a face that could launch a thousand smiles. But to understand Charlie fully is to delve beyond his charming exterior; it's to uncover a tapestry of traits and experiences that make him truly remarkable. In his quest for a forever home, Charlie seeks an owner who possesses not just love, but experience—a guardian who understands his unique needs and can navigate his complexities with patience and understanding. For Charlie is more than just a pet; he's a companion in need of guidance and structure, an individual who thrives in an environment that respects his boundaries and acknowledges his sensitivities. Charlie has a bite history and is not recommended to live with children. His adopter will need to be ready to continue his training to reduce the occurrence of fear-biting that is the result of an abusive past. Indeed, Charlie's past experiences have shaped him in profound ways. Sensitivity to personal space and a history of behavioral challenges underscore the importance of finding a home that can offer him the stability and security he craves. And yet, amidst these challenges, Charlie reveals his true essence—a spirit that is as loyal as it is independent, as affectionate as it is protective. In his moments of vulnerability, Charlie seeks solace in the simple joys of life—whether it's a game of tug-of-war with his favorite rope toy or a leisurely stroll in the park. And while he may still be mastering the art of impulse control and obedience, his willingness to learn and grow speaks volumes about his resilience and determination. Charlie is neutered, microchipped, and up-to-date on vaccinations. All Better World Rescue dogs (including owner assists) qualify for complimentary private and group training sessions to help ensure a successful rehoming. If you would like to meet Charlie to see if he is a good fit for your family, please fill out our adoption application: www.betterworldrescue.org/adoption-application Upon receipt of your application, one of our passionate volunteers will call you within one business day to answer any questions and schedule a meet.

Story
Help! You know I need somebody. Help! Not just anybody. Help! You know I need someone. Help! When I was younger so much younger than today, you know I never thought I’d need somebody’s help in anyway. Now that I’m older and I was found as a stray, I’m feeling kinda lost and need somewhere to stay. My name is Leelah and I was found stray on the streets. No chip, no collar, no posted “lost” signs or clue to save my life as to how I got into this predicament. A Good Samaritan, who is now my foster mom stepped in to be my savior. She got me shelter, shots and safety. I am forever indebted to her. I am ready for my spay and am in the process of getting an appointment to have it done. I am smart, sturdy and ready to start my training towards developing into a great canine citizen and companion. I love long walks and people. Big dogs scare me and I start singing the song of my people, “Stranger Danger.” I need to have more socialization so that the new things in my world don’t frighten me. The good thing is I am still just a pup and I am confident that with patience and love I will thrive. I am just 10 months old. I weigh 52 lbs and am almost fully grown. My foster mom thinks I am a French Bulldog and Staffordshire Terrier blend. *** Leelah will need to be spayed before being released for adoption.
If you would like to contribute to Leelah’s care, we sure would appreciate it; please use the following link: Ken-Mar Rescue PayPal https://www.paypal.com/ncp/payment/R7K7K6HX8G72A If you would like to be considered to adopt Leelah, please email: Info@KenMarRescue.org And request an Adoption Questionnaire in the subject line. Be sure to include as much information about why you’d be a great candidate to adopt Leelah as well. Thank you for your support and for helping to save a dog’s life! The Ken-Mar Rescue Team
