Story
Meet Rocco!
Rocco (DOB: 12/09/22, 31 lbs) is a sweet, affectionate little guy who is looking for his forever home after being recently surrendered due to his owner experiencing serious medical issues. He was originally purchased from a breeder and has clearly been well cared for and loved.
Rocco is a happy, friendly boy who enjoys being around people and soaking up attention. He previously lived in a home with other dogs, cats, and dog-savvy children, making him a great candidate for a home with existing pets (with proper introductions, of course!).
He has a solid understanding of house manners, is crate trained, and does well overall in a home setting. On walks, Rocco does well on leash but can have a tendency to pull, so continued leash training would be beneficial.
Because of his breed type, Rocco is not a good candidate for an invisible fence or tether, and he will need a secure physical fence or leash walks for safe outdoor time. Experience with brachycephalic (short-nosed) breeds is strongly preferred, as Rocco is sensitive to extreme hot and cold temperatures and will need a family who understands his special care needs.
Rocco is ready to find a family who will love him furever and treat him like the cherished companion he truly is.
If you’re looking for a loyal, loving little best friend, Rocco may be your perfect match!

Many of the animals in our foster program come to us with limited or unknown histories. We make every effort to evaluate each animal’s temperament and behavior, including testing their interactions with other dogs, cats, and children (defined as individuals under the age of 18, when available). However, every animal is unique—just as every child and household environment is different.
While we strive to set both our foster animals and adoptive families up for success through thorough assessments and transparent communication, **we cannot guarantee any specific behavioral outcome**. Animals can be unpredictable by nature, and behavior may change in new environments or over time. By proceeding with adoption or foster placement, applicants acknowledge and accept this inherent risk and agree that no guarantees, either expressed or implied, are made regarding the temperament or behavior of any animal placed through our program.
