Story
Meet Rocco! Rocco (DOB: 12/09/22, 31 lbs) is a sweet, affectionate little guy who is looking for his forever home after being recently surrendered due to his owner experiencing serious medical issues. He was originally purchased from a breeder and has clearly been well cared for and loved. Rocco is a happy, friendly boy who enjoys being around people and soaking up attention. He previously lived in a home with other dogs, cats, and dog-savvy children, making him a great candidate for a home with existing pets (with proper introductions, of course!). He has a solid understanding of house manners, is crate trained, and does well overall in a home setting. On walks, Rocco does well on leash but can have a tendency to pull, so continued leash training would be beneficial. Because of his breed type, Rocco is not a good candidate for an invisible fence or tether, and he will need a secure physical fence or leash walks for safe outdoor time. Experience with brachycephalic (short-nosed) breeds is strongly preferred, as Rocco is sensitive to extreme hot and cold temperatures and will need a family who understands his special care needs. Rocco is ready to find a family who will love him furever and treat him like the cherished companion he truly is.  If you’re looking for a loyal, loving little best friend, Rocco may be your perfect match! Rocco is:Current on Bordetella, Distemper, and RabiesDewormedHeartworm Tested: NegativeReceiving Heartworm and Flea PreventionMicrochippedNeuteredADOPTION FEE: $500 IF YOU ARE INTERESTED IN THIS PET, PLEASE COMPLETE THE APPROPRIATE APPLICATION FOUND ON OUR WEBSITE HTTP://FUREVERTAILS.COM. Unfortunately, at this time we are not currently adopting outside of the state of MI. We process applications ONLY - there is no guarantee that you will get a response to an inquiry. Many of the animals in our foster program come to us with limited or unknown histories. We make every effort to evaluate each animal’s temperament and behavior, including testing their interactions with other dogs, cats, and children (defined as individuals under the age of 18, when available). However, every animal is unique—just as every child and household environment is different. While we strive to set both our foster animals and adoptive families up for success through thorough assessments and transparent communication, **we cannot guarantee any specific behavioral outcome**. Animals can be unpredictable by nature, and behavior may change in new environments or over time. By proceeding with adoption or foster placement, applicants acknowledge and accept this inherent risk and agree that no guarantees, either expressed or implied, are made regarding the temperament or behavior of any animal placed through our program. FUREVER TAILS IS A NON-PROFIT, NO-KILL, FOSTER HOME BASED ANIMAL RESCUE BASED OUT OF OAKLAND TOWNSHIP, MI. OUR FOSTER ANIMALS ARE LIVING IN FOSTER HOMES AND TREATED LIKE FAMILY UNTIL THEY FIND THEIR OWN FUREVER FAMILIES. OUR ADOPTION PROECESS REQUIRES AN APPLICATION TO BE COMPLETED AND APPROVED BEFORE A MEET-N-GREET WITH THE ANIMAL CAN TAKE PLACE. ADOPTION FEES ARE NECESSARY TO HELP US COVER VETTING COSTS FOR OUR RESCUED ANIMALS. ##2654204##

Story
Penelope was born on June 19, 2023. When she was a few months old she was diagnosed with glaucoma and had her eye removed. She's so full of energy and loves to run around and play with her toys. During the winter she loves to lay near the heater or sit on her heat pad. She loves her blankets and needs one when she's going to sleep. We are looking for a loving home for Penelope. A home where she will have the freedom of a fenced yard, no stairs in the home because she is not able to go up and down she needs to he carried (we think it has to do with her eyesight) she is scared of stairs. Penelope is fine with smaller dogs but does not do well with bigger dogs she is scared. Penelope is so full of energy and loves play time we hope to find her a family that is active.

Story
You can fill out an adoption application online on our official website.Introducing the French Chibulls (Yes… we were surprised too.) Buster welcomed six brand-new chaos nuggets to the tribe, and we’re still wrapping our heads around it. Meet Eva, Maya, Slade, Mina, Tink, and Axle—a litter of Chihuahua / Pitty / Frenchie mixes that we’ve been told are now known as French Chibulls. Born 11/15/25, these tiny legends currently weigh 2–4 pounds and are already rewriting the rulebook. According to the very official (read: backyard) breed standard, French Chibulls are bred to be: Hardier than Frenchies (with fewer respiratory and cardiac issues) Less anxiety-ridden and yappy than Chihuahuas Lower drive and reactivity than APBTs …but don’t worry—their baby MMA tendencies are still fully intact The good news? They’ve bred the “large” right out of them. These pups are small, portable, and easy to scoop up, making even novice dog owners look like seasoned pros with excellent control and confidence. Each pup came with their own unique flair: Natural tails, corkscrew tails, or no tails at all Fawn and tan coats, some with sable shading Slight underbites for extra character points They’re adorable, compact, hilarious, and already stealing hearts left and right. Whether this “breed” sticks around or not, one thing is certain—these puppies are 100% real, 100% lovable, and 100% ready to take over your life.
