We do our best to provide information that will help determine if the animal might be a good fit for you. Please note that behaviors may change in a home environment. We also ask our applicants to assume that any animal they adopt from us will need to be potty-trained and learn house manners, although this is not always the case. In most cases, the listed breeds are also a best guess. Our online animal bios are designed to provide as much information as possible and answer some anticipated questions. We do not have the resources to respond to emails with more specific questions. We are receiving an unusually high number of applications at this time! Applications are reviewed as they are received, but we do not select adopters on a first-come basis. Our job is to ensure each pet is placed into the best fit home for them and that adopters are paired with an animal that is a good fit for their lifestyle. All animals will stay on Petfinder until they are “pending adoption”. Therefore, if an animal is still listed, we are still accepting applications for him/her! Please do not send inquiries about a specific animal's availability as this can change quickly over the course of the day. The fastest way to get a response is to simply submit an application! We will do our best to notify you by email if the pet(s) you are interested in are no longer available. New animals are posted daily, so please let us know if another furry friend peak your interest (there is no need to fill out a second application)! Fill out the application (DOG: https://service.sheltermanager.com/asmservice?account=dr1937&method=online_form_html&formid=26, CAT: https://service.sheltermanager.com/asmservice?account=dr1937&method=online_form_html&formid=41, EXOTICS: https://us14b.sheltermanager.com/onlineform_view?formid=46) completely. Every question must be answered, and it must be signed.-Applicants must be 21+ years old and live within a 50-mile radius of our shelter at 22415 Groesbeck Hwy, Warren 48089.-You must identify at least 1 animal that you are interested in.Once your application is received, it will be assigned to one of our volunteer Adoption Counselors who will follow-up with the applicant who is the best fit within a few days, or to discuss other options. It could take up to a couple of weeks for you to receive a final disposition on your application so there is no need to check on the status.-Introductions will be scheduled by appointment only, 30 minutes per appointment. The entire household, including current dogs, must be present for the appointment. (Note: Please do not bring your dogs if you are meeting cats!). The introductions will take place outside in our parking lot (or in our cat room if you're meeting cats).-We will continue to perform vet checks for current and prior pets in the household.-Finalizing the adoption will also be scheduled by appointment.Thank you for your understanding.

IF YOU ARE INTERESTED IN THIS PET, PLEASE COMPLETE THE APPROPRIATE APPLICATION FOUND ON OUR WEBSITE HTTP://FUREVERTAILS.COM. Unfortunately, at this time we are not currently adopting outside of the state of MI. We process applications ONLY - there is no guarantee that you will get a response to an inquiry. MEET TREBOR: Hello! My name is Trebor, and I am a 1.5 year old, 46lb American Bully/French Bulldog cross. I weigh around 46 lbs, and I have quite a unique story to share. Unfortunately, I was a stray and no one ever claimed me. However, Furever Tails Animal Rescue saw my potential and took me in to find me the best possible home. While staying in my foster home, I have discovered my love for walks while on the leash. Exploring new places and enjoying the fresh air brings me so much joy. I also have a fenced yard where I can frolic and sniff around to my heart's content. I am proud to say that I am crate trained and housebroken. I have learned to follow a routine and do my business outside. I'm sure it won't take long for me to adjust to my new home and continue being a well-behaved pup. Cuddling is one of my favorite pastimes, and I am definitely an attention seeker. I love being showered with love and affection. Oh, and did I mention how adorable I look when my cute little tongue sticks out on occasion? It's quite the sight to see, and it never fails to make everyone around me smile. As much as I enjoy human company, I prefer to be the only fur-pet in the home. I want all the love and attention to myself, you see. I can be rambunctious and would prefer a home with older children. So, if you're looking for a loyal and loving companion to spoil, I may just be the perfect match for you. I am eagerly waiting to hit the restart button on my life and find my forever loving family. Will you be the one to give me the home and love I deserve? If so, please consider completing an adoption application. I can't wait to meet you and embark on this new journey together! Story
Introducing Rupert, a 5-month-old, 35-pound Bullmation (Frenchie/Dalmation). This guy is short but stocky like a bulldog but has the head of a Dalmation. He is a puppy mill rescue that is learning his social skills and basics. Rupert loves to follow his person around, wedge himself between you for attention, play fetch, and play with other dogs and play chase with the cats (in a puppy manner). Rupert is making great progress finishing up potty training, is crate trained, and will need some basic training as he continues to go from puppy to adult. Rupert has not had the real chance to be around children, so a proper introduction for both sides is required. Rupert is also looking for a home with a fenced yard as he is use to playing safely in a yard that is fenced in his foster home. Rupert's overall behavior has been described as "He is energetic, likes to play with other people and dogs, and is pretty social." If you believe that Rupert would be the perfect fit for your home, follow the link below to complete the needed ADOPTION APPLICATION. *PLEASE NOTE: Applicants must live within an hour radius of Toledo, Ohio. *Rupert is neutered, current on shots for his age, microchipped, and on monthly preventatives for fleas/heartworm. *His adoption fee is $350.00 *Follow our link below to find the ADOPTION APPLICATION needed to have the chance to help Rupert find his FOREVER home. You can fill out an adoption application online on our official website. If interested in any of our animals for adoption, or to foster an animal, please fill out the respective application here to get the process started. He also likes to spend time outside but is not a candidate for daily walks. He does not like other dogs so he is very reactive on the leash. He needs a home with no other pets and no kids. Picasso is a shy boy when it comes to new visitors, he prefers women over men, and will need a quiet home with very little traffic. He is crate trained, up to date on shots, neutered and house trained. Picasso will not be a good fit for an apartment, townhouse or condo. Questions to cbrookszy@yahoo.com Visit this organization's web site to see any additional information available about this pet.Last Day Dog Rescue now microchips all animals before adoption. Microchips are implanted between the animals shoulder blades and are a permanent form of identification. The microchips are registered to Last Day Dog Rescue with the adopter's info added once adopted. If the animal is ever lost and slips his/her collar/tags the microchip allows the finder to know who to contact if scanned for a microchip. Animals MUST still have a collar with tags on at all times. Per our contract, we take all our animals back if for any reason you can't keep your adopted animal. Please understand the statements about this animal are based upon the foster home's evaluation of the animal. The animal might behave differently (negatively or positively) in your home. While the animal might be good with the current foster’s dogs, cats, children, etc., it may not be with your animal(s) or children. The animal may be housebroken or litter trained in the home of the foster but may relapse in your home. The animal is represented to the public as it performs in the foster home and any statements made regarding the animal are conditional to that foster home setting. Please understand that statements made regarding this animal are simply overviews and are not guaranteed. The Petfinder.com system requires that we choose a predominant breed or breed mix for our animals. Visual breed identification in animals is unreliable so for most of the animals we are only guessing at predominant breed or breed mix. We get to know each animal as an individual and will do our best to describe each of our animals based on personality, not by breed label. Thank you for looking through our list of animals needing forever homes and choosing rescue first. We appreciate you stopping by. May 1, 2024, 3:27 pm

KitKat is a beautiful, unique, fun, energetic and spunky young lady who would love to be your walking or running buddy! She is super affectionate and loves kids. Kit is up for any adventure or activity, including a movie night on the couch! As long as she's with her humans she's a happy girl. Though Kit loves to play with other dogs, she would appreciate being the only dog in her home, so she can have all the attention and love to herself! :)

You can fill out an adoption application online on our official website. My name is Harley Bubbles! Don’t you love it! My foster mom gave it to me and told me it was a special name, it was special, just like me! I came into my foster home extremely underweight. That’s sad, because I LOVE food and am learning all kinds of new tricks to get awesome treats!  I don’t know much about the world. Everything seems new to me! My foster mom is not sure if I was ever taken anywhere and showed anything! BUT, I am now! I love my foster sister! She is very patient with me! I did not know much about playing or toys but she is teaching me!  I have young fella energy but love to snuggle my people when it is TV time! I am an adorable short stocky little guy. That’s what my foster mom says!  I would really love a family who can continue to teach me all about how wonderful this big life can be!  If you think that is you, I hope to meet you soon!  Love, Harley Bubbles     Happy Days Dog and Cat Rescue microchips all dogs and cats before adoption.
