Hi there! My name is Rocko, and I’m a unique brindle boy who is ready to be your ultimate adventure partner and sidekick. Whether we are out exploring the world or relaxing at home, I just want to be where the action is! I am a brave little guy who keeps a watchful eye on the house, making sure everything is just right so my humans can relax. I am an excellent listener and know all the basic commands. I love to go for walks and play with my humans. I’m becoming more independent every day and will entertain myself by playing with my toys or curling up by the fireplace. Did I mention I am also a professional napper and total gold-star sleeper!  I’m a fast learner who is eager to please. I have so much love and loyalty to share—I’m just looking for the right family to join on their next adventure. Could that be you? Love, Rocko From the Foster Family: Rocko is a total sweetheart with a personality as unique as his beautiful brindle coat. He is the ultimate companion dog and is happiest when he is snuggling with his humans. He is very food-motivated for training and is a perfect gentleman during grooming—he actually loves getting a bath and will even sit patiently while you trim his nails! He gets along wonderfully with other dogs and kids. He loves to play. However, he does find cats a bit too fun to "harass," so he will need a cat-free home. While Rocko initially preferred to have his humans in sight at all times, he is showing wonderful progress in becoming independent. He is settling down much faster in his crate when we leave and is learning that it's okay to have some "me time" with his toys. To assist him, he has begun and affordable low-dose anxiety medication that he takes once daily.   He is truly a "best friend" type of dog. Rocko is full of love and is just waiting for the right family to give it all to! February 3, 2026, 3:35 pm

Story
🥁 Drum roll please… 🥁 Meet NOX! Let me introduce you to Nox, a 9-month-old cream-colored male French Bulldog and recent breeder surrender. If you’re looking for a dog who will make you laugh every single day, congratulations—you’ve found your guy. Also known as Wiggly Piggly, Sir Licks-a-Lot, Lil’ Potato, and of course Frenchie, Nox is a VERY happy, VERY energetic, and VERY wiggly boy. His whole body gets involved in everything he does. Calm and collected? Not this guy. Nox loves, loves, LOVES toys and is happiest when he’s playing—especially with other dogs. He’s social, joyful, and always ready to party. When it comes to potty training and the outdoors, Nox is still learning. He will go outside to potty, but he is not fully potty trained yet and does have accidents in the house and occasionally misses pee pads. To give you a perfect snapshot of his opinion on bad weather: just yesterday evening, Nox ran eagerly out the door into the fenced backyard, reached the steps going down to the deck… stopped, turned around, and immediately marched right back into the house. Outside? Hard pass. 🚨 Important things to know: • Breed experience preferred — Nox is a lot of dog in a compact little body • Not leash trained — Nox does not yet know how to walk on a leash and has not learned to potty while on leash • Because of this, a securely fenced yard is required • He can become protective when food is left out, so he will need management and continued training around food • Kennel trained and keeps his kennel clean Nox is still very much a puppy and will thrive with structure, consistency, patience, and a good sense of humor. With the right home, continued training, and clear boundaries, he’s going to be an absolute star. If you’re ready for wiggles, laughter, toys everywhere, and a whole lot of love wrapped in a cream-colored Frenchie package… Nox might just be your perfect match. 🐾💙 🌟 IDEAL ADOPTER FOR NOX 🌟 Nox will do best with an adopter who: • Has French Bulldog or similar breed experience • Has a securely fenced yard (required) • Understands puppy energy and is committed to continued training • Can manage food appropriately (no food left out; structured feeding routines) • Has a good sense of humor and patience — Nox is learning and trying his best • Enjoys an active, playful, silly dog who thrives on interaction A home with other playful dogs would be a bonus, as Nox loves other dogs and playtime. ——————— French Bulldogs are a brachycephalic breed, meaning they have shortened muzzles and compact airways. Because of this anatomy, they are prone to certain breed-specific health conditions. Since dogs entering our rescue are new to us, there may be current or future medical needs that are not yet known. Health concerns commonly seen in French Bulldogs include allergies, skin and ear infections (including yeast infections), eye issues, breathing difficulties associated with Brachycephalic Obstructive Airway Syndrome (BOAS), heat intolerance, spinal issues such as IVDD (intervertebral disc disease), patellar luxation, and sensitivities to anesthesia, among others. Some of these conditions can develop at any stage of life or be influenced by factors such as growth, aging, or seasonal changes. We strongly encourage potential adopters to research the French Bulldog breed thoroughly and carefully consider the financial, medical, and environmental responsibilities associated with this breed. We highly encourage you to talk to your Veterinarian about this breed to gain a better understanding of health issues and expense. French Bulldogs often require specialized veterinary care, consistent monitoring, and climate-controlled environments due to their limited ability to regulate body temperature. It is estimated that the average French Bulldog owner spends $2,000 or more per year on medical care, though costs can be significantly higher depending on the dog’s individual needs. You will need to work with your Veterinarian to determine whether nares and/or soft palate surgery is recommended. If deemed necessary, this procedure would be at the adopter’s expense. A large percentage of French Bulldogs benefit from some form of airway correction surgery. French Bulldogs are considered one of the most expensive breeds to own, maintain, and rescue, however our adoption fee does not reflect the extensive medical care, specialty veterinary services, and ongoing support required for this breed. Adoption Fee: $350 plus tax Apply at: www.campcompanion.org

Story
Stormi is the sweetest dog I’ve ever met. If she could cuddle and get pet all day, she’d be heaven! She’s great with dog and children, energetic and full of love! She is a four year old French Bulldog. As you can see in one of her pictures her left ear hangs down due to an ear infection she had about a year ago. She also seems to have some occasional allergies. Other than that she’s a perfectly healthy girl who would make a great addition to a new family.

Story
You can fill out an adoption application online on our official website. Thank you for stopping by to see me!  Please fill out an application to set up  a private meeting.  Rodeo is a laid&#226&#128&#145back, loyal French Bulldog with a heart as big as his adorable bat ears. He’s the perfect mix of independent and affectionate—happy to lounge on the couch by himself, but just as happy to curl up on your lap when he’s in the mood. As he’s settled into foster care, his cuddly side has really started to shine, and he’s becoming more and more of a snuggle buddy. He’s well&#226&#128&#145trained, food&#226&#128&#145motivated, and eager to please. Rodeo knows a whole list of commands—Sit, Stay, Down, Wait, Leave It, Kennel, and more—and he walks beautifully on a leash. He’s quiet, polite, and does great in the car. He’s also very gentle when taking treats, though he sometimes needs a little reminder. Rodeo is working through some food resource guarding towards humans with a trainer. In a foster home, he did bite when high value items were attempted to be taken away. Because of this, continuing working with a trainer on this would be ideal for Mr Rodeo, as well as a strong pack leader who will not let Rodeo control the ongoings of the home. He should be fed in a kennel, or safe spot, to ensure safety and well being. Rodeo does have a sensitive stomach and occasionally throws up dry kibble, so his foster has been supporting his gut health with a mix of kibble, carrots, and blueberries. He may benefit from continued attention to his diet in his forever home. He is crate trained but still working on feeling fully comfortable being crated for long periods. He would thrive in a home where he doesn’t need to spend the whole day in a crate, as he can get anxious when left for too long. Rodeo is friendly with adults and warms up easily to new people. He hasn’t been fully tested with dogs, cats, or kids, but his gentle, easygoing nature suggests he could adapt well with proper introductions. This sweet boy is loyal, loving, and ready to bond deeply with his forever family. Whether he’s curled up on your lap or snoozing nearby, Rodeo is the kind of companion who brings calm, comfort, and quiet joy to every day. Please note that some of our dogs are obtained from shelters, surrendered to our care, or released from breeders. Each animal's bio is based on our experience of the animal within our care, an educated guess based on physical characteristics, temperament and information shared. Each dog receives basic grooming when coming into rescue, but for some dogs they have not received grooming attention until recently and grooming may be required shortly after adoption. This will be at the adopter’s expense, so we encourage you to research the breed and be prepared for grooming expenses. Underdog cannot guarantee hypoallergenic or non-shedding qualities of any dogs in our rescue. Some of the animals come from situations where they are lacking experience in a home and confidence in humans. In turn, they require another companion dog and/or a fenced in yard in their forever home in order for them to feel safe. If you are interested in a particular dog whose bio states those needs and do not currently have them, please understand that your home might not be the right fit. Please use the filter on our Adoptable Dogs page to find the perfect match for your home.  Bulldogs, pugs, and Boston terriers, Brussels Griffons, Pekingese and others are a member of the Brachycephalic breed and therefore have a host of health issues that may arise.  Because these dogs are new into our rescue, health issues in the future may arise that we are not aware of.  Some of these issues are allergies, eye issues, yeast infections, interdigital cysts, slipped disks in their back, breathing problems, among a host of others that can occur at any time or when seasons change. While breed experience is not required, we encourage you to thoroughly research the breed and its financial, medical, and environmental needs to be sure this breed is a good fit for you and your family.  It is estimated that the average brachycephalic breed owner spends $2,000 per year on medical needs. In addition to other surgeries, this dog may have had surgery on their nares and soft palate to improve the quality of their breathing.  This will be partially reflected within her adoption fee. These breeds are one of the most expensive dogs to own, maintain, and rescue and our adoption fees reflect such expenses.  The application process for these breeds usually moves quite quickly as they are a popular breed, so we ask that adopters do research and be prepared for adoption at the time you submit your application.  They are happy, goofy, playful characters and we are excited you are taking the first steps into rescuing one!   This dog requires a separate application and an application fee.  This fee must be paid within 24 hours or your application will be considered void.    We will not review or contact applicants that have not completed the payment portion. This dog requires a Bulldog Application.  All applications will be responded to within 5 business days, after receipt of the application fee.  Please understand that paying the fee does not guarantee you will be approved to adopt the bulldog. Our goal is place bulldogs in homes that are suited for their individual needs. You may be willing and able to provide a great home, but if it doesn’t meet the specific needs of the bulldog, we will not approve your application. To learn more, visit  https://underdogrescuemn.com/adoptionprocess/bulldogs/ to fill out the Bulldog application. ***Be sure to check your spam/junk folder as sometimes our emails end up there*** Visit this organization's web site to see any additional information available about this pet.If you have other questions about me you can email Underdog Rescue at <inquiries@underdogrescuemn.com> ADOPTION EVENTS:      Adoption events are updated at the top of each dogs animals' as their foster home signs up. Check back for updates on which events they will be attending. If an event is not listed within their bio above, the animal is not planning to attend.  Please understand that all of our pets are in volunteer foster homes and sometimes "life" happens and the foster family cannot make it to their scheduled adoption event. If you are traveling from a far distance to meet a specific animal, please understand we cannot guarantee event attendance. We recommend filling out an application and we will set up a private appointment. Private appointments are only scheduled after an application is submitted and approved. ADOPTION PROCEDURE: The first step in our process is to complete an online adoption application on our website: http://www.underdogrescuemn.com/adoptionprocess/   Note: In most circumstances Underdog Rescue will only adopt within 60 miles of Minneapolis, MN.  All of our foster animals can be seen by appointment with an approved adoption application. Contact us at http://www.underdogrescuemn.com/contact-us/ if you have further questions. FOSTER CARE: All of our animals are fostered in individual homes or doggie daycare facilities. While they are in our care, they are part of our families and given lots of love. We work on training, crate-training and socialization prior to adoption, but each bio is written by the foster as they see them, in their home. Each animal's behavior is evaluated and we have a sense of its temperament and personality, but it cannot be guaranteed. We look for adopters who will give each animal the wonderful life and permanent home that he or she deserves in time and with patience.  If you have an interest and ability to be a foster home, please visit our website  www.underdogrescuemn.com/foster-applications  and fill out a foster application. NUTRITION: Nutrition is vital to the rehabilitation and life-long health of our pets.  All of our foster animals are fed a premium diet such as NutriSource, Canidae, Orijen, Nature's Variety, Fromm, Pure Vita, Stella and Chewy's, Primal, or balanced raw diet.  All adopters are required to continue providing premium diets for the life of the animal.
