Story
Luna, aka Lulu, is a lovable little Frenchie mix—part Kitchen Goblin, part Gremlin—whose lopsided underbite and big ears can brighten even the darkest day. In her three short years she passed through three homes before being surrendered to rescue so she could receive urgent medical care. Lulu arrived with severe ear infections and BOAS (Brachycephalic Obstructive Airway Syndrome), making normal activities risky. Thanks to life-changing airway surgery supported by UAAF, she’s now breathing easier and thriving in foster care. She will still need lifelong ear care, allergy management, and thoughtful exercise and heat monitoring. Lulu is a dream houseguest: quiet, crate-trained overnight, calm with other dogs, and an elite-level snuggler. She loves food, couch time, and being close to her people. She enjoys being held, though she’s sensitive at the vet and around her ears, so older, respectful kids are best. Cat history is unknown. She’s doing well with potty-training refreshers on a consistent schedule and has minimal accidents. Lulu would do best in a cozy, low-key home full of affection—ideally with people who are home often. While she doesn’t have separation anxiety, she truly loves being part of daily life. Because of typical Frenchie health needs, adopters should be prepared for ongoing care and obtain pet insurance. She may not be low-maintenance—but we promise, she’s worth it. Luna has been spayed, is current on vaccines, has tested negative for heartworm and is microchipped. If you are interested in adopting Luna, please complete an adoption application on our website (uaaf.org/adopt). For more information, call/text Melissa at 801-419-2464 or email woofslc@gmail.com.

Story
Papi is a sweet boy who loves kids and people of all ages. He loves to snuggle and be around people, but does okay on his own too. We have had multiple moves within the last few years, and now a new baby. We travel a lot as well. We feel bad we haven’t had the time and love to give to Papi. We want what is best for him, and believe that is a new home where he is loved and appreciated. Papi has a fun and loving personality. He's a little dog with a big heart. He can be very chill and lounge around, or go for walks and hikes. He doesn't require a lot of exercise- just a few zoomies around the yard a day, and he's all set. Papi isn’t great with new dogs, but plays and interacts well with dogs he has been introduced to before. He hasn’t had any health concerns, or issues. He can be picky about dog food, but is very motivated by human food. Overall, he’d make a great little companion. He is very sweet and loving- and especially patient with little kids.

Story
Meet Charley, a 2-year-old bundle of joy who seems to love everything and everyone she’s ever met: people, dogs, cats, kids, food, the great outdoors, and probably life itself. She came to us from a high-risk shelter in Texas and has fully embraced her second chance with unmatched enthusiasm.Charley has what can only be described as elite-level energy (the kind that makes humans jealous). She’s playful, joyful, and always ready for her next adventure. Because of this, she’ll thrive best with a family committed to giving her plenty of physical exercise and mental enrichment. When she’s bored, Charley doesn’t sulk, she gets creative. Garbage, throw pillows, home décor...if it looks like it might be a toy, it deserves a full inspection.Speaking of toys: Charley is a true toy connoisseur. She will carefully remove each toy from its designated spot, inspect it thoroughly for quality and suitability, then move on to the next. Once she’s completed her audit, her job is done. It is then the human’s responsibility to put everything back so she can begin again. Teamwork makes the dream work.Charley adores being outside and turns into a full-body wiggle when her harness comes out. Leash attached? Great! She’s ready to see, sniff, and experience everything immediately. She would love a human willing to help her learn that she will get to explore it all, and that patience is, indeed, a virtue.Despite her big energy, Charley is incredibly loving and cuddly. She bonds deeply with her people and has a way of making herself feel absolutely essential to your happiness. She’s spayed, vaccinated, microchipped, and ready for a home that appreciates a joyful, curious, affectionate little unicorn of a dog.Fair warning: once Charley moves in, you may genuinely wonder how you ever lived without her. All CAWS animals are spayed or neutered, vaccinated, and microchipped. Dogs are not placed on a first-come, first-served basis; we focus on finding the best match for each dog and each family. To meet Charley, please fill out an adoption application at: https://caws.org/adoption-applicationCharley is ready to bounce her way into a forever home. Story
Now being fostered in Hillsboro Oregon! Nola is a loyal and loving dog with lots of love to give! She got her name because she showed up at her fosters house the day of the Super Bowl! She walked right into their house, and fit right in with friends and family that they had over to watch the big game! Everyone fell in love with her instantly. Are you ready to fall in love with her too? Watch her here! https://youtu.be/xDm4dgcDOd4?si=gIouhndw4kmbDLNH Nola is hard of hearing, but you can get her attention with a high pitched whistle! She’s never too far from someone, so she will respond quickly! She is a friendly and playful girl who is always up for some fun in the yard or a nice neighborhood stroll. Despite her size she can be very athletic and loves to run around and explore. She is also a major cuddle bug, she loves to jump up on the couch. Her foster family calls her their couch hippo! Nola really loves toys, and she needs supervision with them. Toys are just too fun! She loves movie nights the most! Nola is the perfect companion for someone who’s looking for a loyal and affectionate companion. Because Nola is a little hard of hearing, we think she could definitely rock living in an apartment! She is fostered with two little girls and two female dogs. She is very kid friendly! Nola would be an amazing family dog. Are you ready to open your heart and your home for her? TOBBY – Pug | 4 Years Old DOB: 11/03/2021 | 17 lbs | Healthy, Vaccinated &Neutered  Meet Tobby a cheerful, charming Pug with a heart as round as his adorable face! At 4 years old, he’s playful yet mellow, loving yet independent. Tobby enjoys walks, belly rubs, and quiet moments snuggled up by your side. He’s a loyal little friend who thrives on being part of a family and makes everyone smile with his expressive eyes and wiggly tail. Breed Info: Pugs are affectionate, sturdy companions with clownish personalities. They love human attention and fit beautifully into family life. Their moderate exercise needs and even temperament make them perfect for apartment or house living alike. Owner Responsibilities: Keep him cool and safe from heat. Clean his facial folds regularly. Offer a healthy diet and moderate walks. Provide affection, structure, and routine — Pugs love consistency. Things to Consider Before Adopting: Do you have time for daily care, play, and snuggles? Are pets allowed where you live, and is your space ready for a dog? Will you be patient as your new companion adjusts to your home? Dogs are a long-term commitment — they need your love and attention for their whole lives. Vet Care: Tobby is healthy and fully vetted, but we encourage a visit to your vet after adoption to continue his care and maintain wellness. The 3-3-3 Rule & Commitment for Life: The first 3 days are for decompressing — everything is new, so give him space and reassurance. The first 3 weeks are when he’ll start learning your home, your schedule, and your heart. The first 3 months are when trust blooms, and he’ll know he’s truly home. Remember, adopting a dog is forever — a promise of love and care for a lifetime. Why Tobby Would Be a Great Addition: Tobby is the definition of a happy heart in a little body. His joyful energy and loving spirit will light up your home and warm your heart. Meet Heather! Breed: Pug DOB: 8/9/2025 Weight: 5 lbs Health: She has one eye. Healthy, vaccinated, and full of puppy energy — but even though Heather is healthy, it’s always best to schedule a visit with your own veterinarian soon after adoption to establish care and ensure she’s thriving. Personality Heather is a tiny ball of joy wrapped in soft wrinkles and endless enthusiasm! She’s playful, curious, and loves to make everyone smile. Whether she’s chasing her favorite toy, learning new tricks, or curling up for snuggles, Heather fills every moment with happiness and love. Her cheerful, loving nature makes her the kind of companion that brightens even the cloudiest day. Breed Info Pugs are known for their affectionate and clownish personalities. They are people-oriented dogs who love attention, companionship, and being part of every family activity. Despite their small size, Pugs have big hearts and even bigger personalities! They thrive on love and do best in homes where they aren’t left alone for long stretches of time. Owner Responsibilities Bringing a puppy like Heather into your home means embracing the full responsibility of raising and loving her for life. She’ll need: Patience and consistency for potty training, socializing, and learning boundaries. Regular vet visits for wellness checks, vaccinations, and preventive care. Daily structure for feeding, playtime, and rest. Positive reinforcement and gentle correction as she learns. A safe environment — Pugs can be sensitive to heat and need indoor comfort. Things to Consider Before adopting Heather, take time to honestly reflect on your lifestyle and readiness. Do you have time each day for walks, play, and training? Is your housing or landlord pet-friendly? Are you planning to move or travel frequently? Puppies can bark, chew, and test boundaries — are you ready for puppy stages? Can you commit to vet care, food, grooming, and love for her lifetime? Are you emotionally ready for the responsibility and joy of a long-term family member? Adopting a puppy is a big, beautiful commitment — not a temporary one. The 3-3-3 Rule The first 3 days are for decompressing — everything is new, so give her gentle space, comfort, and calm. The first 3 weeks are when she’ll start learning your routine, your home, and your heart. The first 3 months are when trust blossoms, and she’ll know she’s finally home. &#226&#157&#164&#239&#184&#143 Commitment for Life Heather isn’t just a pet — she’s family. She’ll rely on you for safety, care, and unconditional love every day of her life. In return, she’ll give you joy, loyalty, and companionship beyond measure. Why Heather Would Be a Great Addition Heather is the perfect mix of sweetness and playfulness — small enough to snuggle in your lap, but full of enough spirit to make every day brighter. She’ll grow up beside you, learning, loving, and filling your world with laughter and affection. Adopting Heather means saying yes to a lifetime of smiles, paw prints, and love that never fades.   If you are interested in adopting this amazing dog, please follow the link https://www.ozzieandfriendsrescue.org/adoptions and fill out an application  Thank you for choosing Ozzie and Friends Rescue. This roly-poly bundle of joy is curious, funny, and absolutely full of life. Muck loves everyone he meets and greets each day like it’s the best day ever. He’s playful, cuddly, and already showing that classic Pug personality — loyal, a little bit goofy, and completely irresistible. Breed Info: Pugs are known for their clownish charm, loyalty, and love of human companionship. They’re small but mighty in spirit, typically reaching 14–18 pounds when full grown. Pugs are wonderful family companions who thrive on affection and do best indoors as part of everyday life. Their adorable wrinkly faces and big personalities make them one of the most lovable breeds around. Owner Responsibilities & Things to Consider: Adopting a puppy like Muck means more than cuddles — it’s a commitment to teaching, training, and guiding a young dog through life. Expect potty training, teething, chewing, and learning basic manners. Muck will look to you for patience and gentle structure as he grows. If you rent, make sure your landlord allows dogs and understand that raising a puppy takes time, money, and consistency. Pugs can also be heat-sensitive, so they must live indoors with their family. Give Muck that time, and he’ll reward you with endless love and loyalty. Commitment for Life: Muck isn’t just a puppy for now — he’s a friend for life. Adoption means you’re promising to care for him, love him, and keep him safe through every stage of life. Why Adopt Muck? Because every day with Muck will make your heart lighter.
