Story
Meet Noxeema Jackson, a sweet, silly, and wonderfully easy-going 13-year-old Boston Terrier. This fabulous queen is ready to soak up all the love in her forever home. At 25 lbs, she’s the perfect compact companion—quiet, gentle, and happiest when she’s right by your side. PersonalityNoxeema is a mellow girl with a lovable, quirky charm. She’s affectionate, calm, and has a hilarious side-eye that will absolutely steal your heart. She enjoys simple pleasures: snacks, naps, couch time, and more snacks. Home Life & TrainingNoxeema is an easy, low-maintenance companion: she’s crate trained, walks politely on a leash, and is fully house trained—though she does need frequent potty breaks, due to her health. With low energy, low exercise needs, and minimal grooming requirements, she fits easily into many lifestyles. She’s also wonderful with dogs, cats, and people. While a home with a yard is ideal due to her frequent outdoor potty needs, she can thrive in an apartment as long as she gets regular trips outside. She’s very quiet and settles well in a crate during a typical workday.❤️ HealthNoxeema has been diagnosed both Cushing’s Disease and Addison’s Disease, which means her body struggles to regulate cortisol levels. She is on a daily medication that runs about $50-$60/month. She requires a family—and vet team—who can monitor her closely for any changes, including regular blood tests. She’s stable and doing well in foster care, but attentiveness is key. She also has a sensitive disgestive system so she needs to be on gastrointestinal food. Her Perfect FamilyNoxeema is looking for someone who adores cuddles, appreciates a calm companion, and is committed to keeping a close eye on her health. She doesn’t need an active lifestyle—just love, comfort, and a soft spot on the couch.✨ What Makes Her SpecialShe’s funny, affectionate, and full of personality. Her expressive “judgy” side-eye will have you laughing every day, and her easy-going nature makes her the perfect cozy companion. If you’re looking for a fabulous, gentle, sweet senior lady who just wants to love and be loved, look no further. Like her namesake, Noxeema Jackson will bring color, life and glitter to your life.Dogs are not placed on a first-come, first-serve basis. We strive to find the perfect home for each animal. Applications may take up to 48 hours to process. All CAWS animals are fixed, microchipped, and vaccinated. Her adoption fee is $100. Story
Meet Milo DOB: 4/21/2023 Weight: 10 lbs Breed: Pug Neutered (Fixed) Vaccinated Microchipped Healthy & Adoption-Ready Milo is a calm, easygoing little guy who brings a peaceful, loving presence wherever he goes. At three years old, he’s fully past the puppy stage and settled into his personality. He’s not looking for chaos—he’s looking for comfort, companionship, and a place to truly relax and belong. Personality Milo is chill, affectionate, and laid-back. He enjoys being around people but doesn’t demand constant activity. He’s happy to lounge, follow you from room to room, and simply be part of your day. He has a gentle, sweet nature that makes him an ideal companion for someone looking for a quieter, low-key dog. Breed Info As a Pug, Milo carries traits of: A loving, people-oriented personality A calm, companion-focused temperament A strong desire to be close to his family Pugs are known for being loyal, affectionate, and easy companions, making them a great fit for relaxed households. Ideal Home Milo would do best in a calm, stable home where he can enjoy a relaxed lifestyle. He’s a great match for someone looking for a low-maintenance companion who values connection over activity. Owner Responsibilities Milo will need regular but moderate exercise, such as short walks and light playtime. Due to his breed, it’s important to avoid overexertion, especially in warm climates. He will benefit from a consistent routine, a comfortable indoor environment, and regular attention. Pugs also require basic grooming, skin fold care, and monitoring for overheating. Like all dogs, Milo needs structure, companionship, and a lifelong commitment to his care and well-being. Things to Consider Pugs are a brachycephalic (short-nosed) breed, which means they can be sensitive to heat and humidity and may require extra care in warmer environments. Milo is best suited for an indoor lifestyle with access to cool, comfortable spaces. He thrives on companionship and should not be left alone for long periods. The 3-3-3 Rule 3 days to decompress 3 weeks to learn your routine 3 months to fully feel at home With patience and care, Milo will quickly settle into his new life. Veterinary Care Milo is fully vetted, but we recommend continuing care with your veterinarian for routine wellness exams, dental care, and preventative treatments. Due to his breed, regular monitoring of breathing, weight, and skin health is important, along with maintaining a healthy diet and exercise balance. Important Note Milo is an indoor family dog. He is not to be chained or left outside.
