Story
Meet Vivi — Your Energetic, Loyal, and Loving Companion!Vivi is a stunning 2-year-old Boston Terrier, weighing about 30 pounds, with a huge heart and an even bigger desire to be close to her people. She came to CAWS as a rescue, and to everyone’s surprise, she was pregnant. This sweet girl went on to deliver one beautiful baby girl, and she has been a wonderful, attentive mama. Now she's weaned her baby, has been spayed and is ready for her new adventures with her new forever family.Vivi is incredibly affectionate and will happily climb right into your lap for snuggles. If you’re looking for loyalty, this girl has it in abundance. She’s young, playful, and full of energy. She loves playing with other dogs and her baby, and she thrives with daily exercise. Like many young pups, she’s still in her “chewy” phase, but with continued training and structure, she’ll learn to channel that energy in the right ways.Vivi can be a bit protective of her people and may try to hog all the attention—she just loves her humans that much. With consistency and guidance, she’ll learn to share the spotlight. Vivi gets along better with dogs her size or bigger. A home without other dogs would be the best fit. If you’re looking for a devoted, fun, and loving dog who will adore you with her whole being, Vivi might be the perfect match. She can’t wait to find a family who appreciates her big personality and even bigger heart.Dogs are not placed on a first-come, first-serve basis. We strive to find the perfect home for each animal. Applications may take up to 48 hours to process. All CAWS animals are fixed, microchipped, and vaccinated. Her adoption fee is $200. If you are interested in adopting a CAWS pet, please fill out an online application at http://caws.org/adoption-application If you are interested in adopting a CAWS pet, please fill out an online application at https://caws.org/adoption-applicationJune 20, 2026, 6:40 am

Meet Fido Male DOB: June 11, 2024 Weight: 10 lbs Breed: Pug Neutered (Fixed) Vaccines: Up to Date Microchipped Healthy & Adoption-Ready Personality, Breed Info & Expectations Fido is a happy, cuddly young Pug with a sweet personality and a heart full of love. At 2 years old, he has the perfect balance of playful energy and adult maturity. He enjoys spending time with his people and is happiest when he can be part of the family. Fido is affectionate, friendly, and loves attention. Whether he's curling up next to you for a nap, following you around the house, or joining you for a leisurely walk, he thrives on companionship and enjoys being close to the people he loves. His cheerful personality and loving nature make him an easy dog to adore. As a Pug, Fido is likely to be social, people-oriented, and deeply devoted to his family. Pugs are known for their charming personalities, affectionate temperaments, and desire to be included in everyday life. They make wonderful companions and often form strong bonds with their humans. Fido would thrive in a home prepared for: Daily companionship and interaction Continued training and guidance Mental stimulation and enrichment Structure, consistency, and routine Plenty of love and affection A lifelong commitment to his emotional and physical well-being His loving personality and cuddly nature make him an excellent companion for individuals, couples, or families looking for a devoted best friend. Training, Adjustment & What to Expect Many rescue dogs come from uncertain beginnings and may not have had structure, socialization, or training before arriving at rescue. Because of this, most rescue dogs arrive with only basic training at best, and some may have had no formal training at all. The rescue environment itself also does not always allow for extensive one-on-one training. While we work hard to provide safety, structure, socialization, and basic guidance, adopters should expect to continue training and support after adoption. Like all rescue dogs, Fido may need time to adjust to a new home and routine. Patience, consistency, and positive reinforcement will help him settle in and build confidence as he learns his new surroundings. Fido will benefit from: Positive reinforcement training Daily structure and routine Continued socialization and exposure Exercise and mental stimulation Patience, consistency, and supervision Please remember the 3-3-3 Rule: 3 days to decompress 3 weeks to learn your routine 3 months to fully feel at home With patience, guidance, and commitment, dogs like Fido blossom into deeply loyal lifelong companions. Owner Responsibilities & Veterinary Care Owning a dog is a lifelong commitment that includes training, daily exercise, companionship, routine veterinary care, financial responsibility, and emotional commitment throughout every stage of life. Fido will need: Daily walks and interaction Continued training and guidance Routine veterinary care and wellness exams Preventative care including flea, tick, and heartworm prevention Proper nutrition and weight management Mental stimulation and enrichment A safe, stable, indoor living environment As a Pug, care should be taken during hot weather and strenuous exercise. Adopters should monitor for overheating and always provide access to fresh water, shade, and a comfortable environment. Fido is an indoor family dog and is not to be chained or left outside.
