Story
Meet Otis – The Gentleman with the Biggest Heart  At 2 ½ years old and 27 pounds, Otis is the perfect little package of love. This Boston Terrier mix (with maybe a dash of Min Pin magic!) is as charming as they come. Sadly, Otis lost his beloved human, and his tender heart has been looking for someone new to love ever since.  Otis is the definition of a loyal friend—he adores people and is wonderful with other dogs. With his playful spirit and affectionate personality, he’ll happily bring joy to any home. The only thing he asks is a cat-free environment, since our feline friends aren’t his cup of tea. Healthy, neutered, up to date on vaccines, microchipped, and heartworm negative, Otis is ready to start fresh. He’s not just looking for a home—he’s looking for his person, the one who will give him the love and stability he deserves.  If you’re searching for a best friend who will stick by your side through thick and thin, Otis is your boy. &#226&#157&#164&#239&#184&#143 &#226&#156&#168 Could Otis be the missing piece of your heart?   Please email Critter Cavalry Rescue at ccrnewengland@gmail.com PLEASE NOTE:   Our dogs and cats are fostered in Tennessee and can transport weekly up to the Northeast region.  Request an application and learn more about Critter Cavalry at https://www.crittercavalry.com/adoption.August 28, 2025, 8:49 am

Story
Location: New Kent, VAI AM LOOKING FOR THE PERFECT PERSON TO LOVE ME FOREVER AND EVER!  Hiiiiii there!  It is so nice to meet you! I feel like this is a debut of some sort.  I mean, it has been a long time coming, if I do say so myself.  I am ready to find my perfect match, so here it goes! My name is Boze or Bose depending on how you like to spell it, also known as BoBo to my fan club and I am looking for the PERFECT person to give me a forever home. Just kidding, no one is perfect, except for me. I am about 5ish years old, and no one really knows what combination of bully breeds I might be. OBVIOUSLY, I am a Bulldog concoction of some sort, just look at me.  They broke the mold when they made me, I mean that literally.  Perhaps Frenchie, some type of pocket Bully, Old English Bulldog, who the heck really knows, the possibilities are endless.   I am BEAUTIFUL AND I KNOW IT. I mean, they could DNA me, but they don’t care about that because everyone loves me no matter what the heck I am.  If you love a Bulldog, you know how this works so here it goes… My name is Boze because my elbows bow out.  So do my feet and my hind legs.  I am kind of like a science experiment gone wrong. That’s OK, I make up for it with my squishy face and irresistible personality. I love everything about life, ESPECIALLY people and food. I sure do love to eat. I would weigh 100# if you let me. But I realize that would be very bad for my health, so they force me to stay lean, especially because my joints don’t line up the way they are supposed to. If you watch me walk or run, you will see what I mean.  I am mostly lazy; I want to go potty and come right back in.  Occasionally, I get a wild hair and watching me get the zoomies is hilarious.  The back end doesn’t always know what the front end is doing. My foster Mom keeps trying to get video, but it doesn’t do justice to what I look like when I run “fast”. I don’t like my feet to get wet either, it’s gross.  As you know, guys like me can’t breathe well when it is hot, and we sure can’t stay warm when it’s cold outside! That means, I kind of just want to lay on your sofa, duh. I won’t deny a bed, either, just saying. Golly, I love to sleep (and snore).  My foster Mom forces me to walk for about 10-15 minutes each day, but that is weather dependent. She also knows my limits and she’s careful, so I don’t get too out of breath or get too tired.   I get annoyed with her; she doesn’t care because she says, “it’s good for me, in moderation”.  She’s full of it but I won’t win that argument, so I just waddle along with good bits of rolling around in the grass. It’s my life and I do want I want, sort of. No way I will be running a marathon and walking around the block is not something I want to do, either.  See why I said I was lazy? I prefer a quiet house because I get very overstimulated in a loud and unruly environment. Boarding while you travel is a no go for me. I mean, we all have our “things”, right?  That doesn’t mean I don’t do well at home with a pet-sitter.  That is TOTALLY fine. I also REALLY like to have rules, they keep me safe, and boundaries are good for me because they keep me in line.  My foster Mom has lots of rules, but I understand why. She has a bunch of Border Collies, and while they like the rules WAY more than I do, I am a very good boy and happy to comply.  My best buddy is her Frenchie because he understands the way I play and the way I snort. Her Bull Terrier tolerates me, but I can’t say he likes me.  He would rather I just leave him alone, which I do most of the time. I am crate and potty trained, as well. That is where I sleep and eat because again, rules.  You’re impressed, I know you are! I get along well with most dogs and cats. I will say that some dogs think I am weird because I snort a lot. Sometimes, cats need to let me know they don’t appreciate me. I just want a quick sniff, is that too much to ask? Good thing I take those corrections like the gentleman I am and leave them alone. No means no, I get it.  One swipe from those kitties and I am on my way.  Life is too short to try to be friends with folks who don’t like me much. My life was pretty rough before the amazing folks at Bennett’s Creek Veterinary Care in Suffolk, VA decided that I needed OUT of the shelter.  I was bald and in desperate need of some TLC, which did include some procedures to help me breathe better.  I know, I know, not shocking since I am a Bulldog. My family at Bennett’s Creek fixed me up and then sent me home with my foster Mom so I could continue to heal.   While I do have some medical issues, they are manageable if you are willing to stay on top of them.  I need a bath every couple of weeks, I am also on a urinary diet, and I like my food to be soaked or to eat from a slow feeder toy or bowl.  As I mentioned before, I LOVE to eat which means I sometimes eat wayyyy too fast.  That’s not good for me and I know it, but I can’t help myself, so I rely on my peeps to make sure I remember. I am also on some daily meds but those are easy, too.  You just need to be prepared if you are interested in adopting me, that’s all.  I like to be upfront with these things. Honesty is the best policy, you know? My foster Mom, whose name is Mary (by the way), or my amazing family at Bennett’s Creek can help answer any and all questions you might have. Ask for Katie or Summer but PLEASE know that they are SUPER BUSY while they are at work and probably won’t be able to speak to you on the spot. Believe me, it isn’t because they don’t want to, I promise.  Just leave your contact information and someone will get back to you. The number to Bennett’s Creek is 757.483.5990.  Make sure you tell them you are calling to talk to them about me, that’s important. My foster mom’s number is 804.402.0025 and her e-mail is williamsme1213@yahoo.com.  Please be patient, they all work a lot (unlike me).  They will also be really picky about where I land, I am not going to lie. It’s kind of annoying to be loved by so many people but, that’s the life you lead when you look like me. If you have made it this far, thank you!  I will make someone really happy, could it be you? January 5, 2026, 10:46 pm
