This handsome dude is Genessis. Genessis is looking for a home that has had experience with brachycephalic dogs, due to the several medical issues he has a history of. Genessis has a history of skin allergies and a heart murmur, though there are no current signs of the latter. Genessis had a surgery here at the VBSPCA to help him breathe a bit easier. Because of this, there is an extra cost to his adoption. Genessis has been nothing but sweet upon arriving here, but we don't have any history of Genessis with small children. We are asking any adopters with small children to keep this in mind. Genessis will need to meet any resident dogs prior to adoption. Meet Tater Tot! Tater tot is a sweet, smart, sassy little lady who’s looking for a family that will continue to guide her into becoming the best version of herself. Her previous home lacked boundaries, so she became a little naughty thing! She has done really well learning from the adult dogs in her foster home, and looks to them for direction. Her new family will need to be prepared to uphold boundaries - not allowing her on the future being the main one until she “earns” her privileges and understands the dynamics of her new family. Tater is a dog who will take a mile if you give her an inch, so we can not stress enough that she will need a home with lots of rules and regulations at first. Tater has been spayed, and had her nares widened. She has UTD on vaccines, microchipped, and heartworm tested. She will come with 6m of oral heartworm prevention, and 30 days of pet insurance.

Baby D came to us when her owner wasn’t able to care for her anymore. Since settling in her foster home she’s been a little angel! She’s house trained, crate trained, good with dogs, and loves people. In typical Frenchie Fashion she does have some breed typical allergies that will require management - either with monthly Cytopoint, or daily Apoquel. She eats a sensitive skin/stomach food, and has done well on it. Our hope is to find a breed savvy adopter who is ready for a perfect little potato, that isn’t afraid of a little skin maintenance. Baby D has been spayed, had her mates widened, had a cytopoint injection/ear infections treated, UTD on vaccines, microchipped, and heartworm tested. She will come with 6 months of heartworm prevention and 30 days of pet insurance
