This sweet pup is known for her love of playtime and boundless energy, especially when surrounded by her canine companions. Annie is a social butterfly who knows just how to balance her playfulness with well-deserved rest breaks, ensuring everyone has a paws-itively good time. While Annie's interactions with cats and children are still a mystery, she approaches each new experience with an open heart and wagging tail. Who knows, she might just charm her way into the hearts of every member of the family! Although Annie hasn't mastered any tricks yet, she's a quick learner with a willingness to please. With a little patience and lots of treats, she'll be rolling over and shaking paws in no time. When it comes to her preferences, Annie's list of likes is as long as her tail! Affection, treats, toys, and of course, her beloved doggy pals, all rank high on her list of favorites. And while she may be a fearless adventurer, Annie has one weakness: loud noises. But with a cozy crate to retreat to, she feels safe and secure, ready to snuggle up until the coast is clear. Annie's journey began at a regional shelter partner before finding her way to Homeward Trails Adoption Center, where she stole the hearts of everyone she met. Good with dogs, Spayed or Neutered,
Story
Female, 13 years old, 10 lbs Good with: Dogs Not tested with: Cats, Kids House trained: Mostly Energy level: Moderate (she’s playful and spry for her age!) Noise level: Medium Hey there, I'm Daisy – your new four-legged best friend! Despite my age, I'm still as playful and spry as a pup. I absolutely love going for walks, and guess what? I can keep up with the younger dogs with no problem. So, if you're an active soul, I'm your perfect match! Now, let's talk about my other love – food! I'm a bit of a foodie, and I'll make sure you never forget when it's time to chow down. I'm what they call a Velcro dog – meaning, I like to stick close to my humans. I'd be over the moon if you're the kind of person who takes me everywhere or works from home. I thrive on companionship, and being by your side is my favorite place to be. I generally come when called and I do great on a leash, but I could use some additional training when it comes to learning how to sit/stay. Now, I've got to be honest – I'm mostly potty trained, but every now and then, there might be a little accident. I hope you can forgive me for that. We all have our moments, right? Here's a heads up – I'm not a fan of the car. So, if you're planning any road trips, I might not be the ideal travel buddy. But hey, we can always find other fun things to do together. In a nutshell, I'm Daisy, a lovable, food-loving, and energetic dog ready to bring joy to your home. If you're on the lookout for a loyal companion for walks and a buddy to keep you company at home, I'm your girl! I can’t wait to find my forever home where I can share all the love I’ve got to give! My foster guardian says: “ Daisy is very cute and sweet and at times funny and goofy (for example, a few times she has danced around my dog and rubbed herself up against her). She also likes to roll around and rub things like couch cushions. She also likes to scratch and burrow and roll around on towels, sheets, shirts, small rugs, etc that are on the floor.”   Likes: Burrowing, rawhide sticks, hanging with you! Dislikes: Cars; when my people leave! My ideal home: I’d love a home where I can be treated like a queen to live out my golden years. I'd do best in a home without children, or older children that can respect my space. Adoption Application : http://bit.ly/adoptrdr Foster Application :  https://rdr.formstack.com/forms/foster_app   My adoption fee includes: Spay/Neuter Surgery (unless I'm too to young!) Overall wellness exam Current on all core vaccines (including DHPP & rabies) Microchip Current on flea & tick and heartworm preventatives   Interested in adopting a rescue dog? Rocky cannot go to a family with children under 12 years of age due to his size and breed.   Currently Living at: DC area foster   Special adoption considerations:  Rocky cannot go to a family with children under 12 years of age due to his size and breed. He also cannot live in an apartment.   Rocky D is Looking For: A forever home! This great little dog dreams of being on laps, licking faces, and more love! He definitely wants to go on walks and explore his neighborhood, and is up for any adventure, either walking by your side or riding with you. You see - this dog is the perfect size to go everywhere with you!   Rocky needs time to adjust to new situations and may be a bit anxious at first. He would do best in a quiet neighborhood. Rocky would prefer to wake up to the sound of birds chirping than big trucks and buses. What My Foster Says About Me: Well-trained, polite and sweet, and definitely a ladies’ man! Does not bark very often and can be protective. Rocky D is great at house-training, eats and drinks well, so if you want a gentle dog that still likes to play with toys and LOVES to snuggle with you, this is the dog for you. We do not have a shelter. CDCK has a thorough adoption process to find the best possible fit for each of our dogs and cats (we do not operate under a first-come, first-served model). Upon accepting a new cat or dog into the organization, we provide a basic vet visit that includes necessary vaccinations, disease screenings, deworming, microchips, and spay/neuter for dogs six months and older. We do not provide a comprehensive medical exam before adoption. As a result, sickness, injury, and disability may exist unbeknownst to CDCK. City Dogs & City Kitties Rescue is not responsible for payment of any vet care, including known and unknown medical conditions once a cat or dog is adopted from us. Dog specific: Rabies, DHPP,Lepto and Bordetella vaccines. They are tested for HW, Lyme, Ehrlichia, Anaplasmosis. Most cats and dogs will have a house-training accident in the initial days in their new home and we cannot guarantee any pet is housebroken or crate trained.
