Story
Introducing the handsome Leonardo! This striking 2-year-old German Pinscher found himself in an unfamiliar place, the city pound, after being callously thrown out of a moving car, leaving him confused and frightened. Leonardo, still grappling with a lack of trust in people, tends to cower in the corner when approached, reflecting the trauma he has endured. Despite his initial reservations, this sweet boy does warm up, accepting treats from your hand and walking on a leash with familiarity. While Leonardo may not be an immediate snuggle enthusiast, the hope is that with patience, trust, and time, he can overcome his past traumas. What he needs most now is a family or individual willing to be patient and understanding. Leonardo has tested negative for heartworm, is up-to-date on his vaccines, microchipped, and is scheduled for neutering on Jan 24. This resilient pup has a companion he's attached to, both having shared the same traumatic experience of being thrown from a car. With the right environment and the chance to heal and rebuild trust, it's believed that Leonardo may not need his buddy if a prospective family cannot adopt them together. If you're interested in fostering, sponsoring, or adopting Leonardo, please find more information on our website: https://serendipityanimalrescue.org.

Story
Hi, my name is Rambo! I am called that because I fear nothing!I am told I am about 2 years old. Personally, I think I might be younger than that.I am full grown and I weigh about 32lbs, the humans think I am a miniature pincher mix. What ever that means, the humans are saying someone named 'DNA' will tell us more when he arrives. So, I am waiting on him.I am full of energy and I love to hug and cuddle with the humans here in my foster home. I get along great with all their other dogs... and there's lots of other doggies here!Except, I don't like their beagle too much. She's grumpy and growls at me, but I tolerate her. Before I got here to my foster home, I was at a different foster house and they had lots of kitties. I liked the kitties just fine, even though they didn't like me too much. One them slapped me just because I sniffed him!For my forever home, I would love a human that likes to run. I love to run, too!! I also love to take long hikes in the woods.Swimming is ok... I wouldn't necessarily go looking for water to swim in, but I know how if I have to.I know how to rest when it's time, too. You don't have to entertain me all day, every day. But if I get some good exercise and cuddles in early in the day, I'm pretty happy till dinner time. Oh.. and did I mention I LOVE to eat?? And I take treats very gently. I would never want to hurt your fingers. And if you have a fenced in back yard, I promise I will keep the squirrels out!!And I am fully house trained. I will ask to go outside if I have to potty. My biggest wish is to find a home just like this. If you think I would make a good fit with you, your home and family, I would love to meet you!!**Please fill out the application on Fancy Cat's Website and we will schedule a meet-and-greet with Rambo. If you are interested in adopting, please fill out an application and a representative will get back to you shortly to answer any questions you may have. The adoption policies and applications can be found at the following links: https://fancycats.org/adopt-a-cat and https://fancycats.org/adopt-a-dog. See our calendar of adoption events at https://fancycats.org/(scroll towards bottom) You can save animals like this one by becoming a foster! Fosters are like bridges between high kill shelters and forever homes. We need fosters so that we can save cats and dogs before they are euthanized at the shelters.
