Story
All Pet Central Helps animals are up to date on age-appropriate vaccinations, spayed or neutered, microchipped (registration included), and current on parasite prevention. Dogs over six-months of age are heartworm tested. When adopting, we will ensure that you receive copies of veterinary and microchip records. Records are sent via email. Paper versions are available upon request. If you are interested in this pet, please fill out the brief Adopter Survey by hitting "Apply for Adoption" on the profile above. After we review your completed survey, we will contact you by phone or email within three business days. Please note- Out of respect for our volunteers and staff, we are closed on Sunday and Monday and will not be processing any applications on those days. Please get back to us right away when we call or email regarding an application so that we can quickly connect using the process below: Select a pet and submit an online adoption survey. A PCH! adoption counselor will contact potential adopters within three business days (PCH! cannot guarantee any pet's availability, but we make every effort to accommodate adopters with a reply and possible alternative suggestions). An adoption counselor and client will then have a conversation to answer questions, discuss any medical needs for the pet and determine the suitability of a match (if necessary, we may opt to put adopters in touch with foster parents). After a match is made, clients will be asked to sign our adoption agreement and pay the adoption fee online through our secure payment system *Please see our modified no-risk return policy. (below) The PCH! adoption counselor will then set up a specific appointment time and location. Adopters should bring a pet carrier and/or a leash to pick up and their ID. Adult pets will be wearing a collar. It is important that clients arrive on time, neither early nor late. Cats and kittens are required to leave in a pet carrier. If your adoption is scheduled at Pet Central Helps!: Upon arrival inside the Crossroads Center complex (360 Wylie Drive), look for the black Pet Central Helps! semi-trailer, which is right outside of our facility (Suite 720). Park in the parking lot and enter the facility. A PCH! representative will greet you and show you to the adoption room. Your new pet will be handed to you. We will take a "Happy Adoption Day” photo with your pet and family. If your adoption is scheduled at PetSmart – Bloomington, IL: Park in the PetSmart (1606 E. Empire St.) Parking lot and enter the store. We will be set up just inside the store entrance. Let us know you are here to pick up your pet! A PCH! representative will confirm your information and hand you your pet. We will take a "Happy Adoption Day” photo with your pet and family. If your adoption is scheduled at the Cat’s Meow Cafe: Navigate to PetSmart, park in the parking lot and enter the store. Locate a PCH! Representative at our adoption table and let them know you are picking up a Cat Cafe Cat. You will sign your final contract with your counselor and snap a picture of the completed screen. Head to the Cat’s Meow Cafe at 507 N. Hershey Rd and provide them with the snapshot of your final contract. They will get your cat and take a “Happy Adoption Day” photo with your pet and family. PCH! supports a 30-day no-fault return policy in which adopters are given the opportunity to find a better match. If we cannot provide advice/tools to keep a pet in the home we offer these options: Exchange for a pet that may be a better match** Receive a refund minus a $40 processing fee** With this approach, we can often turn mismatches into opportunities! Thank you, Pet Central Helps!

Story
Quinn 6-months- old • 8- pounds • Harlequin Pinscher Meet Quinn — a Harlequin Pinscher with a heart ten sizes bigger than his 8-pound body. 💙 Harlequins are just like Miniature Pinschers, but with a reintroduced coat pattern that makes them extra striking — and Quinn wears it well. Quinn is blind, but don’t let that fool you. He can see shadows and gets around like a pro. Once he maps out his space, he zooms with confidence and follows voices like a champ. He doesn’t feel sorry for himself one bit — and neither should you. What he does live for? Snuggles. This little guy melts right into your neck or curls perfectly into the crook of your arm like he was custom-made to fit there. He is unbelievably sweet, gentle, and happiest when he’s tucked close to his person. But, he loves the great outdoors. A fenced yard to play in, or a quiet area for leashes walks, would be very much appreciated by this little man. ✔️ Great with other dogs ✔️ Good on a leash ✔️ Quiet in the car ✔️ Crate trained ✔️ Potty training is a work in progress (he’s just a baby!) ✔️ Respectful children If you’re ready for a small cuddle bug who will bond deeply and love you fiercely, Quinn is waiting to find his forever arms. 💕 Please apply here: https://www.shelterluv.com/matchme/adopt/DBSR/Dog His minimum adoption donation amount is $375. He is neutered, up-to-date on vaccinations, microchipped, dewormed, heart worm checked, and on flea/tick and heart worm preventatives. We are located in Bloomington, IL We do not ship, you would need to travel to pick up your babies if you live out of state. Your current pets must be up-to-date on core vaccines, spayed/neutered, and on heart worm prevention year round. You must be at least 21-years-old to adopt. Please have your veterinarian and two non-family reference phone numbers ready. The app makes you start all over if you leave the page to look up numbers. Story
Meet Bambi, an 8-year-old, 21-pound Miniature Pinscher mix with a heart full of love and a gentle, easygoing personality. Bambi is the definition of a companion dog. She loves to cuddle with her favorite person and is happiest when she's close by, whether you're relaxing on the couch or heading out for a car ride—one of her favorite adventures! Her foster mom describes her as friendly, outgoing, happy, quiet, and incredibly loyal. She truly is a total sweetheart. Bambi is making great progress with her house-training. Like many dogs, thunderstorms make her nervous, and during bad weather she may have an accident. When she's frightened, all she wants is the comfort of her person. Wrap her up in a cozy blanket, let her snuggle close, and she'll settle knowing she's safe and loved. She gets along well with other small dogs and would likely enjoy having a canine companion. While she hasn't been around children in her foster home, we expect she would do well with older, respectful kids who understand how to give her space when she needs it. Bambi is also working on her leash manners and improves a little more each day. With a bit of patience and encouragement, she'll continue to gain confidence. If you're looking for a sweet, quiet best friend who will happily ride shotgun on errands, curl up beside you at the end of the day, and love you with her whole heart, Bambi is ready to become part of your family. She may be a little nervous when the skies rumble, but with your love and reassurance, she'll be the most devoted companion you could ask for. Her minimum adoption fee is $300 plus a $15 fee, if 4 months or older, for rabies registration for McLean County residents. She has been spayed, microchipped, vaccinated, heartworm checked, dewormed, and is on flea and heartworm preventatives.
