Story
This big friendly guy is Easton! He is a two-year-old German shepherd mix. A kind neighbor was taking a walk in her neighborhood when Easton “joined” her! She walked all the way home with Easton following behind. She tried to find his owner, but had no luck. Finally she called Animal Control to pick him up. She knew that he could safely wait for his owner at the shelter. Easton was never claimed and is now ready for adoption. He has all of his vaccinations, he is heartworm negative, he has a microchip, and he has been neutered. On Easton’s behavior test he did great with other dogs. When he gets excited he gets a little “vocal,” but it is all in fun! Send in that paperwork and come meet Easton.

Story
Junior is a 5‑month‑old neutered male German Shepherd/Husky mix with striking blue eyes and beautiful black, tan, and white markings. He has a gentle, kind‑hearted personality and loves affection—he’s truly a huggable, happy companion. Junior is entertaining and sweet‑natured, does great with children and other dogs, and is more of a loyal follower than a pushy leader. He’s ready to bring love and fun to his forever home.  Dog/puppy adoption fees are $120.  Cat/kitten adoption fees are $75.  All pets will be spayed/neutered before adoption; or you will be given a discount spay/neuter certificate to be used at participating vet clinics to help with the cost of spay/neuter.  Our adoption fees cover a microchip, microchip registration, deworming, vaccinations (as age and law requires), and a courtesy vet exam at participating offices. Unless otherwise indicated under 'special needs' our dogs have screened heart worm negative.  March 27, 2026, 2:43 pm

Story
Skunk is a 5‑month‑old neutered male German Shepherd/Husky mix.  He currently weighs 35 pounds and is expected to be a large adult. He is black with white markings, has one blue eye and one brown eye, and carries himself with a quiet, regal presence. Skunk is shy at first but deeply loyal and curious once he feels comfortable. He’s observant, thoughtful, and enjoys staying active. He does well with kids and other dogs, but is not suited for homes with cats or chickens. All of our dogs are housed in private homes, we do not have a store or a shelter.  We do not show dogs to interested parties until they have an approved adoption application.  If you are interested in adopting one of our dogs, please fill out an adoption application on our website www.helpingshepherdsofeverycolor.com/adoption-application  You may also find us on facebook:  Helping Shepherds of Every Color Rescue  Update 12/23  Nani has blossomed in foster care and she has turned into a friendly, happy girl.  It's amazing what a little love and TLC will do.  She will need some formal training but that will help her bond with her new family.  Nani is very silly and tries very hard to play with the little dog in her foster home. Nani is a very sweet girl. She is very nervous and timid right now.  Nani would do best with a calm, confident dog companion.  She is just under a year old.  She is very sweet, just very scared.  Nani may not be a good farm dog, she was turned into a shelter because she killed some chickens.  In her defense she was very underweight and very hungry. You will need a very good vacuum cleaner, she sheds like crazy.  March 10, 2026, 1:02 pm
