Story
"Meet Sweet and Striking Samantha - The Perfect Companion for an Active Home!"Hi there, my name is Samantha and I am a 4-year-old female dog weighing 88 pounds. I am a gorgeous German Shepherd mix with a pretty appearance. I was surrendered to the shelter because my owner could no longer care for me, but I am still hoping to find a loving forever home.I may be a bit on the heavier side, but don't let that fool you - I am an active and laid back girl who loves going for walks with my people. I can be strong on the leash when I want to go somewhere, but with some training and an active lifestyle, I am sure to lose some weight and feel good again. My special traits include being incredibly sweet and affectionate. I am a constant companion and will be by your side through thick and thin. I may be a bit shy at first, but once I get to know you, I am loyal and protective of my people. I am clever, friendly, and independent, with a quirky personality that is sure to make you smile. I am also potty-trained, so that's one less thing you have to worry about!I am looking for an active home with adults who can help me shed some pounds and get back in shape. I prefer to be the only dog in the home, as I like to have all the attention for myself. But trust me, I have enough love and loyalty to make up for it!If you are interested in meeting me, please come to the shelter and ask for Samantha. I can't wait to meet my forever family and start our happily ever after. Let's make each other's life complete!I am fixed, up to date on vaccines, microchipped and ready to go home with you, so please come visit me!Please call between 10am-4pm to schedule an appointment to meet one of our animals! 928-282-4679.

Story
Hi there!!!! My name is Missy. I am a little bit older at 8 yrs, but please don't let that fool you. I still have the heart and spirit of a puppy. I love everyone I have meet so far. I really like my new friends but I would of preferred to stay at home. Unfortunately, my old owner passed away and I had no where else to go. I did come in with my brother, so if you have other doggies at home, I would love to meet them as well. I do have some hip issues (don't we all as we get older??), but I don't seemed to bothered by them. I won't be able to go on long hikes. If you are looking for a great security system that is a couch potato most of the time, I am your gal!! I am recently fixed, microchipped and fully vaccinated. If you can find it in your heart to let an old gal live out the rest of my years in your home, you can call the nice folks at the Humane Society of Sedona (928)-282-4679. They are open 7 days a week from 10-4, closed major holidays.
