My husband and I took in a Schatzi as a private foster to save him from being euthanized by the city due to an unstable environment. His owner had some severe life changes (husband took his own life) and he was left in the backyard for nearly a year by himself. He was being fed, but not socialized during that time. Surprisingly, his temperament is pretty good and he is not aggressive at all (that we have seen). Good with other dogs (would be a better fit if he is alone or only one other dog, does good with our goldens) and unsure about with children (owner had young children, but we don't). He is a very sweet dog and likes a lot of attention. His energy level is moderate to high, so a fenced in yard is ideal. We have only known him for a few weeks and he listens well and knows basic commands. His previous owner would use him as a therapy dog for his PTSD (uncertified) and would help to calm his anxiety before ending his own life. Willing to travel for the right owners!

Thru no fault of his own I need to rehome my German Shepherd he is a 3 1/2 yr old neutered male and his breed of shepherd is West German showline which means he is a more laid back shepherd, he is not hyper and is a more even tempered shepherd, he is NOT a working line and has a very sweet temperament, very smart very alert and gets along with cats, other dogs and chickens. He has been raised with my grandchildren so he is great with kids and is very well socialized. He is very well mannered, knows his commands and isnt a barker unless to alert you. He is an inside dog but loves to play outside. I will be screening all potential new families/owners because he is an exceptional loving dog and I want to make sure he is a going to be a good fit for you and visa versa. My German Shepherd his name is Sparky his a big baby heavy dog. Came to our house at 8 months old. Has had shots but this year I havent been able to be up to date on his shots.Im currently expecting and I cannot no longer be with him provide my attention been groomed walked or just a normal dog. I have a small family that cannot help me around him. My son is 13 and daughter 5 with a husband that is full time provider. His journey has been with me and I cannot provide anymore attendance since pregnancy and further more once baby is here. I wish him a cage free re-home. Someone with full strength to walk him around and have the dignity to train him further more than what I could of. that is a serious adopter and patient. His a beautiful dog his a loyal family dog. His not inside home dog but he did recognize who was family. Not special fed.
