Story
About a year ago, Buford began showing up, at this point a mere puppy, and slowly allowed himself to be tamed. He spent time between two properties, making friends with dogs, children, and anyone else. However, the time for him to find his own home has come! He has spent long enough outside, with no family to call his own. He is ready for a family to be his one-and-only. Buford is a big boy with arresting eyes that pierce right through you. His shaggy dark coat and tall stature paint a beautiful picture. We think that he is likely a livestock guardian dog/herding breed mix. He is slow to warm up, but once his faith has been placed in you, it is unshakeable. He is still nervous, but he has been so tolerant and calm throughout all his vetting.Buford has a ton of potential as a great family pet and protector.

Story
Please help poor Todd! Todd T.'s estimated DOB 02/14/2019 and he's a black and tan German Shepherd mix. This big boy is still all puppy! Unfortunately, at his last home, he was hit by a car and was injured. His leg is doing much better. He needs a home that is going to give him some TLC, a fenced yard to run in and people of his own to play with. He is selective with other dogs so will need a meet and greet with any pets already in the home. He has only ever been an outdoor dog, so his new owners will need to have patience with him and be able to teach him house manners, but his happy personality will make it worth it! All of our pets are fixed, up to date on their vaccinations, and microchipped. The Haven of the Ozarks is open form 9am-4pm, seven days a week. For more information, please email us at havenozarksanctuary@gmail.com, or give us a call at 417-835-3647....All pets have lifetime sanctuary at Haven of the Ozarks. If they cannot remain with their adopter, they must be returned to the Haven.Adoption fees are as follows: Puppies under the age of 6 months - $150Dogs weighing 30 pounds and less - $200Dogs over 6 months old- $90Cats under the age of 6 months old - $75Cats over the age of 6 months old - $65Special adoption fees may apply to some animals.

Story
Meet Busta Rymes! His DOB is 12/14/2021 and he's a tan German Shepherd/Labrador mix that weighs in at 60lbs. Busta Rymes has a lot of energy and loves to romp and play. He would thrive in a home that can help him burn off some energy whether it be walks on a leash or playing ball (which he loves). Busta received training at a previous adopter and knows the commands sit, down, wait, place, and come. He is a wonderful dog, but he got returned to us because of a few incidents with some other dogs that were aggressive or on his property. His new family would need to be able to keep a close eye on him if another dog is around or if meeting a dog for the first time. He does great with kids of all ages and is house and crate trained. His estimated DOB is 12/14/21.All of our pets are fixed, up to date on their vaccinations, and microchipped. The Haven of the Ozarks is open form 9am-4pm, seven days a week. Story
Freya has spent most of her life tied up outside to a tree with very little care. She has not been well socialized and has some issues we are working with. She is dog friendly, but takes a slow and proper introduction, and a dog who wont try to push her buttons. Freya is very smart and has so much potential, she just needs to be consistently worked with. She is very deserving of a loving and patient home.
