Story
I am fostering 3 year old purebred German Sheperd, Frank. Long story short, we were watching Frank for a month while his owner went back to rehab. His owner got out of treatment, relapsed, and died. The owners elderly mother decided she didnt want to keep Frank due to her age so we are fostering Frank until he can find a home. Frank is a very sweet, goofy, active boy. We were informed that he went to two training camps and is e-collar trained. He has phenomenal recall and knows sit, stay, come, lay down, and leave it. He has gotten along well with every dog that we have come across, although he is not neutered so some males are not nice to him. He loves toys, balls, and BIG sticks. He is a great companion for hiking & running, like most GSD he has a lot of energy and gets 3 miles of activity per day. He has a very sensitive tummy and is on Apoquel for allergies - both might clear up with better food. He loves being around people and will follow you from room to room.

Story
I have had Akela since he was 10 weeks old, he just celebrated his 6th birthday 01/06/26. He loves to play fetch and anything to do with toys is his favorite thing in the world. He is great with people but absolutely cannot be around other dogs. I did slowly acclimate him to my ex boyfriends female dog and they got along well and live together for almost 3 years no issues. He would do great in a home with a fenced backyard and no other pets. He hasn’t been around children much and while I believe he would be fine, he doesnt enjoy being hugged on or poked/prodded so a house without children would probably suit him best. He is a very sweet dog and just loves playing and being outside but because he cannot be around other dogs and I do not have a yard for him, with his high energy level it is hard for me to give him the life he deserves. I am willing to drive him however far I need to, as long as I know he is going to a good home where he will be loved and well taken care of.
