WATCH MY VIDEO...Meet Stella, a stunning 7-year-old German Shepherd with a big heart, a playful spirit, and so much love left to give. After spending all seven years of her life with one family, Stella recently found herself searching for a new beginning when she was surrendered because someone in the home developed allergies. While that chapter of her life has ended, we believe Stella deserves a home that will give her the exercise, attention, and companionship every dog needs to truly thrive. According to her former family, Stella is good with adults, children of all ages, and other dogs. She may bark when she sees another dog, but it`s because she`s eager to play. She regularly visited the dog park and enjoyed socializing with canine friends. A dog meet is always recommended for any potential dog siblings. Cats, however, are not recommended, as Stella enjoys chasing them. Stella`s favorite things include tennis balls, playing fetch, splashing in the water, and, of course, treats. Since arriving at the shelter, she has impressed staff and volunteers with her sweet, affectionate personality. She walks beautifully on a leash, appears to be housebroken, knows commands like `sit` and `down,` comes when called, and loves being petted. She`s equally happy going for a walk, asking for belly rubs, or cuddling up beside her favorite people. Despite her size, Stella is a gentle, friendly girl who simply wants to be part of the action. One volunteer laughed as Stella stood on a chair to peek over a fence, reminding everyone just how tall and curious she is. She`s smart, engaged, and eager to interact with her people. Stella has spent her entire life being someone`s dog, and now she`s hoping to find a true forever home where she can enjoy the love, attention, and adventures she deserves. If you`re looking for a loyal companion who is affectionate, well-mannered, and ready to be your best friend, Stella may be the perfect match.

Meet Hank! A charming nine-year-old German Shepherd/English Bulldog/Cocker Spaniel mix currently in Marietta, GA, whose essence is a warm blend of loyalty, gentleness, and companionship wrapped in a handsome tan coat. Guided by a fascinating family tree that includes a full-blooded German Shepherd father and an English Bulldog and Cocker Spaniel mix mother, Hank inherited his distinctive “small shepherd” face, sturdy 50-pound build, and wonderfully sweet nature. Hank is the kind of dog who turns ordinary days into brighter ones simply by being nearby! Whether he is heading out for a leisurely leash walk, relaxing in the sunshine, or keeping a watchful eye on his favorite people, he brings a calm and comforting presence wherever he goes. His favorite activity is walking, and he thrives with a predictable routine that includes a short morning stroll and a longer afternoon adventure. He also enjoys the freedom of doggy door access and has a relaxed approach to mealtime, happily free-feeding throughout the day. Friendly is one of the best words to describe Hank! He enjoys meeting strangers, gets along well with other dogs, and is wonderfully gentle with children of all ages. His affectionate personality makes him an excellent companion for families, couples, or individuals looking for a devoted canine friend. Hank has received obedience training, responds to his name, and understands commands such as “come” and “stop.” He is also comfortable being left alone for short periods and settles easily into daily life. This lovable boy is house-trained, neutered, microchipped, and up to date on vaccinations. He has no known health concerns and no history of challenging behaviors. His only notable quirks are that visits to the veterinarian and groomer can make him a little nervous, and thunderstorms are not among his favorite things. Hank needs a loving, stable family who can continue providing companionship, regular walks, and the steady routine he enjoys. Long-distance adoption is welcomed, allowing the search for the right match to reach far and wide! Could Hank be the faithful walking buddy and gentle companion you have been hoping to welcome into your family? For more information about adopting Hank, please contact adopt@joyfulpets.com. Story
Hello, I'm Sampson. It's a delight to make your acquaintance. I hold the record for being the longest resident dog at Abandoned Pet Rescue. Spending over six years in a shelter is quite a long time for a majestic [age] old Shepherd like me. When I first arrived, I became protective of my kennel, and it takes me a while to trust new human friends. However, I have formed strong bonds with a few staff members and volunteers over the years who enjoy walking, training, and playing with me. I am in need of an experienced adopter who understands my quirks and protective, loyal nature, someone comfortable with my [weight] size (that's a lot of charm!). I am seeking a soulmate in the South Florida area willing to invest time in getting to know me at the shelter before I transition to a new home. The shelter staff will demonstrate my leash-walking skills (I am even trained to wear a muzzle) and how quickly I pick up new tricks like speak, paw, and sit. I enjoy car rides and have recently discovered the delight of a Starbucks Puppuccino. My dream is to have a peaceful, calm home with a fenced yard and an abundance of squeaky toys (my favorite!). I am looking for a home without cats or kids, but I do enjoy the companionship of other dogs with a proper introduction. If you are interested in knowing more about me, please complete an adoption application at abandonedpetrescue.org. Kindly spread the word about me so I can find my perfect forever home. Story
You can fill out an adoption application online on our official website. Meet Mali. Mali is a female Malinois, 18 months old and somewhat of a unicorn in the Malinois  breed. Mali has never met a stranger and loves to lean on her people for loving and pets. She is good with all dogs big and small but no kittys for this young lady. While not cat aggressive  she is definitely  a cat pest so your kitty would  not appreciate  that. She is definitely  a velcro girl who loves nothing more then to be with her people making her not the right fit for someone who works long hours outside  of the home . She is housebroken  and has great house manners  so no crate needed  for this girl. Car rides and adventures  are her love language  and she'll happily entertain your company  or kids with her hand shakes. Kids ..did we mention kids? This girl loves kids . She would also make an amazing  obedience  competition or scent dog as she loves to work and learn . She is both toy , ball and food driven. Must own a home with a fenced in yard and have breed experience.  Visit this organization's web site to see any additional information available about this pet.June 9, 2026, 4:02 pm
