Story

I adopted Roman from the Miami-Dade Animal Shelter. He was brought in as a stray on October 7, 2023 and I adopted him on October 15th. According to the shelter, he was about 8 months old when he was brought in, so he is currently 12 months. When we first got Roman he was very shy and stand-offish. However, within a few days he was very comfortable around my daughters and I. It took him a little longer to be comfortable around my son and other men, but he is very comfortable around men now. Roman is an energetic dog that needs lots of exercise. I would prefer for his new owner to have a backyard for him to run around in. However, if a backyard is not available, then his new owner should take him to a dog park regularly. Roman is also a very intelligent dog. My daughter taught him to do 'paw', which is when he gives you his paw in your hand on command. Another trick he learned is 'center', which is when he stands in between your legs, and 'down' to lay down.

Story

My brother found Levi running around a vacation parking lot in downtown Miami in October 2023. We took him to a vet to check for a chip, but there is none. He is neutered. He is actually a purebred Huntaway, but the drop down for breed type does have that option. He is the sweetest dog, 75 pounds. He just wants to play and be loved. I am a single mom with a 10 year old and 15 year old. My brother dropped Levi at my house and I agreed to keep him until he found a home for him. My brother also agreed to chip in for expenses while I kept him, but he has not. I have a small yard and can't afford a trainer. I would love to keep him, but I don't have the financial means or time. Levi need a big yard and someone who can spend time with him and play with him.
