Story
Hi, I’m Elijah 🐾I came from a shelter in the Bahamas, and now I’m just looking for my forever people. Right now, I’m living it up in a foster home where I get to experience new things all the time—like beach walks, new environments, and different routines. It’s been helping me grow into a confident, well-rounded boy!I’m an easygoing, loyal guy—I don’t need to be in your lap, but I do love being near you or keeping you in sight. Lately, I’ve started asking for a few pets (and maybe some kisses), then I’m happy to lay down and relax.I get along great with other dogs, and I’ve been around kids 4+, but I think I’d do well with just about everyone except maybe cats. I’ll let you know if someone’s at the door (I’ve got good guard dog instincts), but once I see you’ve got it handled, I settle right down. I’m housetrained, will let you know when I need to go out, and I love to eat—pretty low maintenance if you ask me!I do have a little weakness in my back legs, and I’ve been working hard in physical therapy. I’m doing well and will require an active family who can take me on my long daily walks and do some leg exercises with me to help me stay strong. I also want you to know that I’m on some medication for pain management and supplements to keep my hind legs healthy!I understand the importance of a strong bond with my people and would love to create that with you. I just want someone to call my own. I’ll be your quiet, loyal companion—always close by, always on your team 💛If you’re interested in giving me a forever home, please call our front office staff for more information or fill out an adoption application, and someone will be in touch!Requirements: Martingale Collar; Joint SupplementsAll of our dogs and cats are spayed/neutered, up to date with age appropriate vaccinations, heart worm or feleuk/FIV tested, fecal tested, rabies and tag, and microchipped before being placed in your home. Our adoption fee helps cover this cost.

Story
🐾 Meet Pippin 🐾This pretty shepherd mix may not have come to us with much of a backstory, but one thing we do know—Pippin is a survivor. She was found rummaging through her finder’s garbage can, just trying to fill her belly, and now she’s ready for a fresh start with a family who will never let her go hungry for love again.Pippin is a bit on the shy side when you first meet her, and new environments can be overwhelming—but give her a little time, patience, and space, and you’ll start to see her true personality shine through. Once she warms up, she’s everything you’d expect from a young shepherd: intelligent, energetic, and eager to learn. She’s the kind of dog who will thrive with structure, guidance, and someone committed to helping her become the very best version of herself.Because of her initial sensitivity, we’re recommending a home with children over 5 who can respect her space while she settles in. She’s shown that she can do well with other dogs, especially ones who are calm and respectful of her boundaries, but she would do best in a home without cats.Since Pippin came to us as a stray, we can’t guarantee her house training—but she’s been keeping her space fairly clean here, which is a great sign! With consistency and routine, she’ll likely catch on quickly.Pippin is looking for more than just a home—she’s looking for someone willing to invest in her, to guide her, and to show her what it means to feel safe and loved. In return, you’ll get a loyal, smart, and devoted companion who just needed a chance.Could Pippin be your next adventure buddy? 🐶💛Requirements: Martingale Collar; Children 5yrs+All of our dogs and cats are spayed/neutered, up to date with age appropriate vaccinations, heart worm or feleuk/FIV tested, fecal tested, rabies and tag, and microchipped before being placed in your home.
