Atlas is a handsome 4-year-old German Shepherd who is looking for a new home due to new housing restrictions. He is house-trained, crate-trained. We lived in a rural area with large yard, he has not been socialized, which has caused him to be reactive towards strangers/ other animals. He is affectionate and loyal with the people he knows and is friendly and gentle with my 1 year old son in his current home. Like many German Shepherds, he is protective and alert. He loves to play fetch and play with the water hose. He is reactive around strangers and other dogs, which typically presents as barking and jumping when he feels anxious or overstimulated. He has never bitten anyone. Because of his reactivity, Atlas needs with an experienced dog owner who understands the breed and is willing to work on his confidence and training. A home with a securely fenced yard would be ideal. We just want him to find a home with someone who is experienced and has the patience to work with him
