Meet Rapunzel 🐾✨ With her soft eyes and gentle spirit, Rapunzel is a sweet, shy puppy who’s just beginning to discover how big and exciting the world can be. At 3–4 months old, this 3/4 German Shepherd and 1/4 Labrador mix is expected to grow into a beautiful medium-to-large dog, likely around 55–65 pounds full grown. Rapunzel didn’t have much exposure to new people early in life, so she can be a little timid at first—but with patience and kindness, her personality truly starts to shine. She’s already making great progress and grows more confident with each new experience. Once she feels safe, she absolutely loves snuggling up on the couch and happily chewing on her favorite toys. She does well with kids and other dogs after a proper introduction and would truly thrive in a home with another confident playful dog to help show her the ropes. Rapunzel is still learning leash skills and will need continued guidance as she builds confidence out in the world. Because of her shy nature, Rapunzel is looking for a home with experienced dog owners who understand how to support and gently guide a puppy as she grows. A fenced yard will help her feel secure, and a social environment—where she can continue meeting new people and dogs at her own pace—will be key to helping her blossom into her best self. This handsome gentleman is Z! He was surrendered to the shelter on 4/9. The volunteers describe Z as friendly and easygoing. It seems as though he has some issues with his hips and does not like to walk very far. He will sit nicely when asked. If you have a soft spot for the seniors who may be overlooked in the shelter, please come meet Z. He could really use a hero! Z is 10 years old, and weighs 100 lbs. He is UTD on vaccines and did test negative for heartworms. He will be microchipped upon adoption, but the shelter vet may not be able to do his neuter surgery due to his age. Please inquire with shelter staff. Z is waiting painterly in kennel 27; his ID # is 18118. Note - all the listings on Friends of Shelter Animals for Cobb are done by volunteers. It is noted that Honey is house-trained, which is great news! Honey is such a sweetheart, though clearly confused about the loud and overwhelming shelter environment. The volunteers describe Honey as friendly, curious, and intelligent. She seems to know the commands sit, shake, down, and stay. Honey is still quite young so she'd love an active family who will spend lots of time with her. If Honey sounds like a good fit for your family and lifestyle, please come meet her! This is Eclipse!! She is five years old and needing a home due to us, not having the time or experience for her. I am looking for a home that would be willing to take her in and love her as much as I do(if not more that I do), as well as be patient with her!!! I need someone that will take the time out of their day to give her the proper care she needs. It can be time-consuming.Someone with experience in training dogs and handling more aggressive breeds. She does not do well at all with small children, other small dogs, and men. However, once she gets comfortable with you, eclipse is one of the sweetest, most lovable, and loyal dog there is. She will protect you and be a lap dog all in one. in a new home, she would need lots of SPACE to run and get all her energy out, if she does not exert a certain amount of energy a day, she gets hyper and tends to be more on edge.
