Story
🌴STITCH🌴“Ohana means family. Family means nobody gets left behind or forgotten.”🐚Stitch is an adorable and handsome 9 month old German Shepherd mix puppy. He and his sister were dumped out in the country. We couldn’t leave them behind so they were trapped and brought into rescue. 🐚Stitch knows no stranger. He is so friendly and everyone is his friend. He greets people with a wigglebut and seeks attention/affection. He loves his chest being scratched!🐚Stitch loves other dogs and enjoys playing with them, big or small. We see no reason why he would have any issues with cats. He is good with kids and all people as long as they go slow until he gets to know them. Stitch is walking well on a leash although sometimes, he likes to plop down to take a break. He also loves water and enjoys laying in kiddie pools to cool off! 🐚 Stitch is crate trained and mostly potty trained. He is still a puppy so taking him out on a consistent schedule is key. 🐚 He has been neutered, microchipped, heartworm tested negative, fully vaccinated for rabies, distemper/parvo/lepto and bordatella, wormed and started on heartworm prevention. If you are interested in being Stitch’s “Ohana”, please visit our website at www.pawsofadamscounty.com and submit an adoption application for this sweet goofy boy! When applying, please answer each question completely and honestly. Story
***Adoption Sponsored by Zechar Bailey Funeral Home***Say Hello to Sammy! We believe Sammy is a 1 year old intact male German Shepherd Mix who came to us as a stray. While we don’t know much about his past, we’ve loved getting to know this sweet pup here at the shelter. Sammy is an affectionate boy who lives for your attention! He’s very food-motivated treats are his love language! He’s working on his leash-walking skills and doesn’t seem to mind the other dogs at the shelter. Sammy full of potential all he needs now is a loving home to help him learn and grow. Sammy did great for his exam where he weighed in at 42 lbs. and was also given Bordetella, parvo/lepto/distemper vaccines, dewormed, microchipped and is heartworm negative. Our adoptions are $100 cash/local check. Our visiting hours are Monday-Friday 8am-11:45 am and 1 pm-4pm. We are located at 5066 County Home Rd. Greenville, OH 45331. You can reach us at 937-547-1645

Story
Squanto the good boy moved inside from the kennels sand so far there has not been one single potty accident in the house, not even in his crate. Hes great with the cats, hes interested in them and really wants them to play with him but he gets the point if they hiss or swat. Hes doing great with all of the dogs big and small, old and young, grouchy and grouchier. He wants to PLAY so hes like an annoying little brother right now trying to figure out which dogs might want to play and who to steer clear of. We have learned that Squanto needs slow introduction to new dogs! He LOVES toys, especially a nice bouncy ball that he can throw around and chase. He has not chewed anything up so far, but we do keep lots of toys around to help prevent the dogs from chewing things they arent supposed to. He is my shadow and follows me everywhere. He can go outside with me off leash and stay with me. He will stop on a dime when you make the tcha tcha sound (you know the one we all automatically do to get the attention of any animal) and he can walk around with the chickens and leaves them alone. He thought maybe one would play and be his friend but when it trotted off Squanto just went about his business. He knows his name but should quickly learn a new name also as he picks things up quickly. Hes young so he does have energy but he isnt over the top and he will knock it off when told if hes getting carried away. Squanto is the perfect dog in every way EXCEPT, he needs slow and proper introduction to new people! He is extremely protective and when someone new shows up and he is not acclimated to them slowly, his first instinct is to try to bite. This is very much a trainable issue and can be corrected over time. He will bite a stranger that is in his personal space while on leash. Adopters with experience with reactive dogs and even better reactive German shepherds is definitely recommend. All that said, once you are his people he is seriously so great. No aggression what so ever towards anyone he is used to. He loves to play and run with our 9 year old son and has never gotten sideways at all with him. He is just a dog that someone has let down and we are trying hard to help him get over the issues someone else caused. He is the most loyal dog you will find. perfectly crate trained and potty trained. He just needs a home that understands his needs Squanto is neutered, vaccinated, heartworm tested and negative, microchipped, and treated for parasites.
