Story
Stella is looking for a single animal home. She is a sweet girl who loves to play. She enjoys running outside and playing fetch. She can be a little hesitant of new people, but warms up pretty quickly. She has a strong prey drive, therefore no cats in her future home. She is barrier reactive. She is obedient, loves to learn, and is willing to please. She is sweet and social. Adopter would need to be willing to continue training with her previous trainer, located in Monroe, WI., to help her transition to her new surroundings. Stella has shown that she is sensitive to new situations within the first few days of being there. She will need someone who will provide her with adequate support and training expectations. Potential owner should be an experienced dog owner. If you are interested in adopting this adorable canine, please FILL OUT AN ADOPTION APPLICATION on our website www.safehavenforpets.org. Spayed or Neutered,
Story
Oscar is an incredibly sweet boy who has come a long way in a short amount of time. When he was first reacued he was severely underweight with a body condition score of just 2. With proper care, good food, and plenty of encouragement, Oscar has made wonderful progress and is now showing everyone what a happy, affectionate dog he really is. Oscar may be a little shy when you first meet him, but he warms up quickly. Once he knows you're safe, his goofy, playful, and affectionate personality comes shining through. He loves attention and enjoys being around his people, but he especially loves having other dogs around. He gets along well with dogs and also enjoys cats. Oscar loves carrying toys around, playing with stuffies, and chewing on bones. He's also working on his leash skills and is making good progress. He takes treats nicely and is eager to continue learning. Oscar is still working on his crate training. Outside of his kennel, he's a sweet, curious, social, and easygoing boy who is eager to experience life. Oscar does well with other dogs. He tends to lean on others for guidance and comfort. However, we're excited to see him continue building confidence and learning that he can find security and companionship with his people, too. Oscar has done well with children of all ages and keeps his kennel clean. He would thrive with a family that can provide structure, patience, positive training, and plenty of opportunities to socialize and explore. With his long legs, floppy ears, silky coat, and handsome shepherd-mix looks, Oscar is quite the package. But it's his incredibly sweet personality and the progress he's made that really make him special. He started his journey in a vulnerable place, and now he's ready for a family who will help him continue becoming the confident, happy companion we know he can be.

Spayed or Neutered,
Story
Bear is a handsome shepherd with a gentle heart and a playful spirit. He is the kind of dog who loves having a job to do, an adventure to go on, or a favorite person to hang out with. He is affectionate, loves giving kisses, and has a sweet side that comes out when he's spending time with his people. Bear is a big fan of fetch and tug, so he's always ready for a game. He walks well on a leash and enjoys getting out and exploring with his people. Like many enthusiastic shepherds, he can get a little jumpy when he's excited and can be vocal at times. Continued training and giving him appropriate outlets for his energy will help him be the best version of himself. Bear can do well with other dogs when given proper introductions. He will need a family who understands that dogs don't always become best friends immediately and is willing to give him the time and structure needed to build positive relationships. Because Bear is a shepherd with the energy, intelligence, and instincts that come with the breed, he would do best with someone who has experience with working breeds. He will thrive with a family that understands the importance of mental stimulation, physical exercise, structure, and continued training. Underneath that shepherd exterior is a gentle boy who loves to play, loves his people, and isn't afraid to show his affection with a few kisses. Bear is ready for a family who understands him, keeps his mind and body busy, and gives him the opportunity to be the amazing companion he can be.

Story
Layla is a sweet, affectionate girl whose favorite place in the world is right next to her people. From the moment you meet her, she'll happily roll onto her back and offer up her belly, fully expecting all the love and belly rubs you can give. If you happen to stop petting her, don't be surprised if she scoots a little closer or gently places a paw on you as her polite way of asking for just a few more scratches. This happy, gentle girl has a wonderful personality that makes her easy to fall in love with. She craves human companionship and thrives on attention, but she balances her affectionate side with a playful spirit. After soaking up plenty of love, Layla enjoys stretching her legs in the yard where she can get her wiggles out before settling back in for more cuddle time. Layla gets along well with other dogs, keeps her kennel clean, and would make an excellent companion for a first-time dog owner. Her friendly, submissive nature and desire to please make her the kind of dog who fits naturally into family life and enjoys simply being included in whatever her people are doing. If you're looking for a loyal companion who will happily trade endless belly rubs for unconditional love, Layla is ready to steal your heart. She's the perfect combination of sweet, playful, and affectionate, and she's waiting for a family to call her own.
