Story
I got Gotti from a friend who was in a domestic situation. I am older and Gotti is strong with a lot of energy. He is so sweet, playful, loves his people, and very loving. He is just too much for me personally. He gets very excited when he sees other dogs and it can be too much for me to hold onto him. He wants to please. He is completely house trained, has a huge crate (I have never used it), has never destroyed anything in my place when I am gone. I want him to be loved and have room to run/play. He is so lovable 💖

Story
Meet Collin – Your Loyal, Loving, AdventureReady Companion Collin is the definition of a peoplepleaser. Friendly, outgoing, and deeply affectionate, he thrives on human interaction and loves being part of the action. He’s housebroken, crate trained, leash trained, and knows several commands. He’s also dogfriendly, strangerfriendly, and wonderful with children ages six and up. His enthusiasm and size can be a bit much for toddlers, but older kids will adore his playful, goofy energy. This boy is a mix of active and calm—he’s always ready for a game of fetch, a walk, or an outdoor adventure, but he also enjoys relaxing with his people. He’s a natural protector, a total kisser, and a loyal shadow who wants nothing more than to be near his family. Personality & Needs Collin would thrive in a home that: Enjoys outdoor activities like hiking, running, or playing fetch Has a fenced yard where he can safely explore and burn off energy Has older children or adults who appreciate an affectionate, energetic dog Can offer plenty of companionship—ideally someone home often Understands that he has separation anxiety and struggles when kenneled (he may bark or try to escape) Collin is happiest when he’s included, engaged, and given opportunities to bond with his humans. The Perfect Match The ideal family for Collin is active, patient, and ready to welcome a loyal companion into their daily life. A stayathome parent, remote worker, or someone with a flexible schedule would be especially ideal. Collin isn’t just a pet—he’s a devoted friend who wants to be part of every moment. Why He’s Being Rehomed Collin’s family loves him deeply, but due to unexpected caregiving responsibilities for an elderly parent, they can no longer provide the time and attention he needs. Their hope is to find a home that can give him the structure, affection, and activity level he thrives on. *** If you’re looking for a loving, intelligent, and enthusiastic German Shepherd who will reward you with unwavering loyalty and endless affection, Collin may be the perfect addition to your home. *** The suggested adoption donation for Collin is $400, which includes a lifetime of free relationship-based training for any behavioral problems (not obedience training). Muddy Paws is a 501c3 non-profit organization meaning that part of your donation MAY be TAX DEDUCTIBLE. We are a 100% volunteer rescue committed to giving animals a second chance at life. All donations go toward that mission. Adoption fees are the primary source of funding for the cost of veterinary care for our animals. In 2022 alone, we provided animal Healthcare totaling over $399,000 covered mainly through adoption fees. Please Note: A Courtesy Post designates that an animal is still in the home of its owner and not in a Muddy Paws foster. This means that our exposure to the animal is limited since we only assist the owner in finding a new home for their pet. From time to time, owners find a new furever home for their pets outside of Muddy Paws Last Chance Rescue, and there is a delay in removing them from our site. We apologize if the Courtesy Post you apply to adopt is unavailable for adoption.Information about the adoption process: All adoptions require a completed ADOPTION APPLICATION. Once your application has completed our prescreen steps, we will put you in touch with the animal’s foster to see if you and the pet are a good match. If so, we will arrange a meeting for you and the animal. The adoptions for all of our animals will take place in the Omaha, NE area and must be done by the adoptive family in person. We do not ship or deliver. Please Note: We are a RESCUE, which is different from a shelter. We conduct veterinary and personal reference checks, and a Home Visit (Virtual in some cases) during the application approval process. We always select the right applicant for each animal, based on the animal’s needs. If you and the animal are not a good match, we will help you select another animal, or we will keep your approved application on file for 6 months. Story
So you need to put ME on YOUR RADAR!! Cause I am AVAILABLE to be your newest bestest fren, EVER!!! So, by now you know my name but do you know my game??? I am a GORGEOUS black lab/shepherd mix with a sad story to tell... but like ALL sad stories, I HAVE A HAPPY ENDING (so far:) But I am looking for the family who will cherish me furever and I think that is YOU! You look pretty smart and put together... and that is WHY you want to adopt me! I was found in a neighborhood, wandering in the blistering heat as well as the "colder" weather (40's in San Antonio is REALLY COLD :D And the lady who took time to feed me and gain my trust was the same lady who saved me! She knew that I was a GOOD dog, just looking for someone to save me from the streets and give me HOPE for a better life. No one really knows my back story, but some things are obvious.... I am smart and sensitive to new environments, I am sweet and CUDDLY, I am LOVING being back in a home and have been potty trained since minute one.... I love my unstuffed toys and carry my "baby" around all day. I am a mess with fireworks or other loud- end of the world- kind of stuff. I am not a huge fan of bathing but LOVE a great car ride!! I am learning all kinds of cool things here, the most important thing is I am loved!!! So if you want to continue the lessons, come and adopt me!! I am waiting!! Local adoption fee is $200 (in TX) Out of state adoption fee is $450 (includes transport to your area)
