Tigger is the kindest soul and has the most accepting heart. He has gone through so much and is still so loving. Due to an accident, a leg was amputated but he has no trouble going up and down stairs. He doesn't carry around his past traumas. He is inspiring, joyful and full of life. Tigger would do best with a playmate. When left alone, he has some separation anxiety. Having another dog with him seems to calm him and he isn't so anxious. This tripod does sometimes jump when he is excited, but he is gentle. He loves hugs and cuddling on the couch. He will also be up for play time and would love another dog that likes to play. Cosmo is a very energetic and athletic 6 year old German Shepherd Dog. His favorite thing in the world is to play fetch with the ball!! He is very loyal, and very protective of "his" person. He is house trained and will stay in a fenced in yard while we are away or at work. I have owned him since he was 10 weeks old. I got him from a breeder specializing in working line German Shepherds. At the time I got him, I did not have a family of my own. But now that six years has passed, I now have a wife and an infant child in the home. We tried unsuccessfully to get Cosmo to coexist with my wife's two dogs, but now keep them separate in the house/yard. Cosmo is the perfect dog for a single person or a couple with no children or other pets. Preferably someone that has a midsize fenced in back yard.

Heartworm Treatment Notice: Koa is currently heartworm positive and undergoing treatment through Beauties & Beasts Rescue. An approved adopter will be required to continue the prescribed treatment plan and follow all medical guidelines. Beauties & Beasts Rescue will cover the cost of the remaining heartworm treatment as long as it is completed according to the veterinarian's recommendations. Koa and his siblings were abandoned outside their home without food or water. When their owner failed to return for them, Beauties stepped in and brought all six puppies into safe care. Since then, Koa has been working hard on getting healthy and learning that people can be kind and safe while in boarding. Koa is a beautiful boy who is still building confidence and learning social skills. He will thrive with a patient adopter who understands that trust takes time. Having another confident, friendly dog in the home would help Koa continue to come out of his shell and feel secure. Having another dog is required in his foster or adopter's home. Koa is still on his journey to becoming adoption-ready. Because of their history, they need a patient foster home where they can continue building trust and confidence. Fostering will allow them to safely develop their social skills with people and, when appropriate, other animals, helping prepare them for a successful forever home. Koa is currently boarding at the Haysville Building and is available to meet during public hours Wednesday through Saturday from 11:00 AM to 6:00 PM. With love, patience, and consistency, Koa has so much potential to blossom into a loyal and loving companion.
