Finn is a beautiful big boy of just over 2 yrs. He is housebroken and incredibly loyal. He has several weeks of professional training and knows his commands, including "place" and walks well on a leash. He's playful and athletic. Finn would like a stronger handler with breed experience. He can be protective of his people and home without proper guidance from his people. Finn has lived with another dog. He can be a bit dominant. If you are a loving home and would like to open your home and heart to one of our dogs, please fill out our online application to get the approval process started. We will not schedule meet and greets without an approved app on file. Please welcome REINE to the Rescue! Reine (pronounced RAIN) is coming to us as an owner surrender from Maine. She is 2 yrs old and very sweet. She has lived with other dogs both large and small and has been fine with them. She is very friendly with people. She is housebroken and does not need to be crated in the home. She could use some practice with the leash, but has her house manners! She has been in a very good home, and was very well taken care of, but circumstances have changed there. Reine is an active girl who is looking for an active family to do things with - hike, walk etc. She would be a wonderful addition to the right home. If you are a loving, active home and would like to open your home and heart to one of our dogs, please fill out our online application to get the approval process started. EXCELLENT DOG ALERT! The lovely Heidy has arrived in Maine, and is looking for her perfect home! We rescued Heidy from the Moreno Valley Shelter in CA a couple of months ago. She went to the shelter because her elderly owners passed away. Heidy is only 3 yrs old and she is a big girl of 80 lbs. Unfortunately, her owners never gave Heidy a lick of any training, manners etc. Luckily a trainer out in CA had a spot for her while we waited for transport, so Heidy has learned her manners, and is now good on leash, and knows her commands! She was also well socialized, taken out in public etc. She has learned a LOT, and knows down, sit, stay, and shake. She is also crate trained! She is a smart girl! The trainer says Heidi has an excellent disposition, and is good with both male and female dogs. She is big and can be rambunctious, so she will be looking for an active home that will walk and hike with her! My name is Kai Milo and I was surrendered to an over crowded shelter. I am super playful and love people. I love playing with tennis balls and frisbees. I need a little help learning when play time is over. I like playing with other dogs as long as they match my energy and are nice to me. I did live with a cat reportedly but we will have to do proper introductions to check again. I also have been around children.

Bruce was born on July 24, 2023 and was rescued from an abusive situation. He is about 80 pounds. He is smart as a whip and does figure out jumping fences. He also prefers to be outside full time but likes to follow his people all over in and out. He does has manners and will need training. He doesn’t care about cats. He isn’t good with livestock especially things like rabbits and chickens that is when the border collie comes out of him. He loves kids too. He likes all the attention and pushes his brother out of the way sometimes. If you’re interested in meeting Bruce, please complete an adoption application. Our poor girl Salem is still waiting for a home after 8 long years. Though she can be shy at first, she longs to be someone’s loyal guardian, hiking partner, and best friend. Despite her severe hip dysplasia, she’s very active and LOVES to run. She’s so playful and full of life. Her inner puppy comes out when she gets to play with toys! Salem also loves cooler weather, though she can deal with summer heat by playing in the water. She’s great with other dogs, and loves to play with them! She’s amazing on and off leash. Salem is our special girl and we’d love to see her in a home where she can live comfortably and happily for her forever.
