Quick Facts Age: 9-months old Kids: will do fine with kids (8+) Dogs: good with other large dogs Cats: no cats Training: needs full obedience training Extra Video: https://youtube.com/shorts/UOqw64Muwic?feature=share 1. I was previously adopted through another rescue but those people decided I had too much puppy energy and the best way to contain me was to lock me in a kennel for 23-hours a day. Thank goodness they returned me & now I'm looking for an appropriate & loving home! 2. I'm just a puppy, 9-months old! So I have lots of playful puppy energy. I love running in the yard, playing with other doggos, and playing with toys. 3. I'm working on house & crate training, that's going really well! Please be patient with me since I'm a work in progress. 4. I want to get a PHD in obedience training! Will you paw-promise to train me? I want to learn sit, stay, come, down, place, leash manners, and anything else you can teach me. I'm super smart & learn super quick! 5. With spring coming up, I want to get outside and go on some walks, runs, or hikes! I can also help you in the yard, give you support with your health goals, and help be your sous chef in the kitchen. 6. IDGSR Welcomes ROMEO into the safety of the rescue!! THIS DOG IS FOSTERED IN TENNESSEE & AVAILABLE FOR TRANSPORT ************** Hiya Friends! My name is Romeo and I'm a handsome 1yr old male German Shepherd mix dude. I am located in Greeneville TN and will be available for transport. Quick Facts Age: 1yr old Kids: would do fine with older kids (12+) Dogs: good with large dogs Cats: NO cats Training: needs full obedience training 1. My backstory is pretty sad. I came from a high kill shelter in Memphis. After leaving the shelter, I was forced to live in a small kennel most of the day. Because of this cruelty, I was going nuts! Doggos aren't suppose to live in a crate 24/7! 2. Thanks to some good hearted people, they transferred me to IDGSR where I could receive proper care, love, attention, and learn to be a good boy. 3. I have gained weight, overcome some of my not-so-great habits, and have learned being a free dog is the best! Running in the yard, playing with other dogs, and playing with toys is so fun! 4. I am house & kennel trained and am a very active boy. I'd love to go on walks, hikes, runs, or do anything athletic. 5. I could use some standard obedience training. Let's prove to your nosey neighbor that you have the most handsome (duh!) and well trained pup on the block! 6. If you are looking for a resilient, friendly, handsome, athletic, and nice new companion - I'm your dude! **SERIOUS APPLICANTS ONLY! Story
Meet Japan! Japan is a gentle, mellow sweetheart who made his way to us as a puppy from Alabama — and watching him grow in foster care has been something really special. Naturally shy at first, Japan takes in the world thoughtfully. But day by day, he’s gaining confidence. Every new experience helps him open up a little more, and seeing that brave spark build? It’s beautiful. At 10 months old and a perfectly petite 35 pounds, Japan is the ideal size for both outdoor adventures and cozy couch time. He’s been doing wonderfully on leash and recently wowed everyone at the vet by being an absolute angel during blood work — quiet, patient, and so well-mannered. We were proud. 💙 Japan would truly thrive in a home with another friendly, confident dog to help guide him and show him the ropes. A calm canine companion will help him continue blossoming. He’ll need patience and gentle encouragement at first, but the reward is huge — because once he bonds, he bonds deeply. He absolutely adores his foster dad and forms strong, loyal connections with his people. And while he’s still building confidence, his playful side is emerging more every day — especially when toys are involved. Watching him discover joy and let his guard down is pure magic. Japan is looking for a calm, loving home that will celebrate his growth, nurture his confidence, and let him continue becoming the wonderful dog he’s meant to be. If you have a soft spot for the shy ones — the ones who bloom slowly but love deeply — Japan might just be your boy. Apply below to adopt: https://www.shelterluv.com/matchme/adopt/TGD/Dog

IDGSR Welcomes ARAMIS into the safety of the rescue!! THIS DOG IS FOSTERED IN TENNESSEE & AVAILABLE FOR TRANSPORT ************** Hiya Friends! My name is Aramis and I'm a big handsome 10-12 month old male German Shepherd/Great Pyrenees mix. I am located near Greeneville TN and will be available for transport. Quick Facts Age: 10-12 months Dogs: good with other large dogs Kids: would do fine with older kids (10+) Cats: NO cats Training: needs standard obedience training 1. My backstory is pretty sad. I was severely neglected by an awful person, kept in deplorable conditions, had very little kind human interaction. Thanks to my wonderful foster mom, I was saved and brought into the safety of IDGSR! 2. Since being rescued, I've made a full recovery and am the happiest, most loyal, and oh so loving big boy. I am grateful for love, affection, tummy rubs, and tasty treats. 3. I get along great with other large breed doggos and would love to have a friend to play with. Even tho I'm a big boy, I'm a gentle player. Anyone up for a game of zoomies?! 4. I am very food & treat motivated! I need to learn some nice manners and obedience commands, will you paw-promise to train me? It will help us bond & prove I'm the bestest boy around. 5. I'm a fun loving, affectionate, goofy, friendly, loyal, and handsome guy. I'd love to snuggle up with you on a cold night and watch a movie or help you in the kitchen! 6.
