Story
My name is Kai Milo and I was surrendered to an over crowded shelter. I am super playful and love people. I love playing with tennis balls and frisbees. I need a little help learning when play time is over. I like playing with other dogs as long as they match my energy and are nice to me. I did live with a cat reportedly but we will have to do proper introductions to check again. I also have been around children.

IDGSR Welcomes LEGEND into the safety of the rescue!! THIS DOG IS FOSTERED IN TENNESSEE & AVAILABLE FOR TRANSPORT ************** Howdy! My name is Legend and I'm the cutest and cuddliest 12-week old white male German Shepherd! I am located near Greeneville, Tennessee and am available for transport to my forever home! I'm just a little pupper figuring out this great big world! My foster home is super great; I get yummy food, lots of play time, I'm meeting some nice doggos, and I get to explore a great big yard. The only thing that would make it so much better is if you adopt me! I'm a curious little dude, I like to explore in the yard, sniff every blade of grass, and try to get into mischief if I can! I'm already one smart cookie, but when I'm bigger, I know I'll be eager to learn anything you can teach me. Will you paw-promise to train me in obedience to make sure I'm a respectful boy and prove I'm the smartest pup on the block?! This will also help us bond together. If you are looking for a handsome, adorable, lovable, energetic, playful, and fun new bestie - I'm your guy! Story
Hero is a three old German shepherd. He is house trained, baby gate trained and crate trained. He does great with kids and other dogs. He is very human centric, he really doesn’t pay much attention to his foster siblings. His first mom said he and the cat did not get along great and he would get vocal when the cat got near his bowl which is understandable.  So now he is fed in his crate. He happily and politely lines up for snacks with his foster sibs with no problems. He loves playing fetch and loves his ball. He is a typical German Shepherd with lots of energy and he wants a lot of attention. He is very gentle with his mouth, he plays gentle and takes treats gentle. Overall, he is an excellent dog would love to be part of your home!  Hero is neutered, current on all his shots and microchipped.  To be considered for Hero's forever family and to request an application please contact Vivienne at viviennejames@comcast.net.  MUST HAVE EXPERIENCE WITH GERMAN SHEPHERDS.  APPROVED APPLICATION AND ADOPTION REQUIRED.  (Hero is currently in Tennessee and can be transported north upon adoption.)April 23, 2024, 4:30 pm

Story
Unfortunately we have come to the long and super hard conclusion that we need to rehome our beloved Waylon. Waylon is an amazing dog in so many ways however has not been able to conquer being around children. While I had hoped that with my own child he would be different, he has exhibited fear aggression and has growled several times from behind gates from our baby. Due to his size we are not able to test further or safely. It has taken a year for us to come to this conclusion so it’s not been taken lightly. Because our baby is now super mobile Waylon has spent the last few months gated away from our family and/or outside and it’s not at all the life he deserves. I can’t imagine him having to live like this for 6-8 more years. He deserves so much love and attention, he used to be the center stage and things have completely changed, my heart breaks for him constantly.

Good with dogs,
Story
Mars is in URGENT need of rescue.  He is a GSD that has been in a very small and out of the way rural shelter for over 3 months and everyone around that shelter has too many dogs already.  He has been cooped up in a 4 X 6 kennel on a concrete floor during the cold of winter and no heat at the shelter.   He is going a little stir crazy.  He plays with other dogs in the play yard but he is a little fearful of new people.  Cautious is the word that best describes him.  The German Shepherd breed is born with a cautious and guardian/working nature.  He is in an unnatural environment and it is crushing his soul.  If you would like to offer a lifeline to this boy named Mars, 2-3 years old and 70 pounds, please DO NOT WAIT.  We are afraid that he will crash and then he will be euthanized as the result of being so confined and limited and left with a feeling of abandonment.  Critter Cavalry Rescue will pay for ALL HIS NEEDS!  Please email us at ccrnewengland@gmail.com ASAP> PLEASE NOTE:   Our dogs and cats are fostered in Tennessee and can transport weekly up to the Northeast region.  Request an application and learn more about Critter Cavalry at https://www.crittercavalry.com/adoption.April 23, 2024, 4:30 pm
