Story
Raquel is a gorgeous, funny, super bright and loving pure bred German Shepherd girl who is 4 months old and 43 pounds.  Found as a stray just after the 4th of July weekend this girl was never claimed by anyone from social media and postings by  the small town shelter.  No collar, not spayed and a little underweight, this girl was just released to Critter Cavalry Rescue to find her the best GSD savvy home ever.  Raquel is just a baby and will blossom under the right home environment into a gorgeous 80+ pound girl when fully grown. This girl is a working breed that will require lots of exercise and mental stimulation daily.  A fenced yard is an absolute requirement and qualification to meet in order to be considered to adopt her.  She would be fine with another dog in the home or even cats.  She is destined to be a fun companion and puppy to raise and mold into all the potential that we see already exists in her.  She is not skittish and she is smart smart smart!!!   If you are interested please contact Critter Cavalry Rescue at ccrtennessee@gmail.com   Tell us where you live please; city and state.       PLEASE NOTE:  Our dogs are transported from Tennessee to meeting places in the states where we have posted.  Further information about us is given on our Adopt-A-Pet site.  The adoption fees vary and will be provided as well as noted on the application you receive.  Contact us at 615-661-5333 or ccrnewengland@gmail.comJuly 21, 2026, 5:22 pm

Quick Facts Age: 9-months old Kids: will do fine with kids (6+) Dogs: good with other large dogs Cats: cat friendly Training: needs full obedience training 1. I'm doing great with house & crate training but please be patient with me in case I have an accident or two. 4. If you'll be gentle, kind, and loving I will be your most loyal companion. I dream of going on walks, getting pup-cups, running in a safe yard, and having a family of my own. 5. I do need full obedience training to make sure I'm the bestest boy around. Will you paw-promise to train me? Pro tip: use hotdogs or cheese & I'll do anything! 6. IDGSR Welcomes RUE into the safety of the rescue!! THIS DOG IS FOSTERED IN TENNESSEE & AVAILABLE FOR TRANSPORT ************** Hiya Friends! My name is Rue and I'm a beautiful black/tan Shepherd mix. I am located in Greeneville TN and will be available for transport. Quick Facts Age: 1yr old Kids: will do fine with older kids (10+) Dogs: good with large male dogs Cats: NO cats Training: needs obedience training 1. In my short life, I was treated horribly by my so-called owner. I was kept in a crate for 20+hrs per day, rarely fed, and left to sit in my own feces. Thanks to IDGSR they rescued me and have gotten me healthy & thriving! 2. I'm learning what living in a loving home is all about. I am house & crate trained, have decent manners, and am overall a lovely gal. 3. I would love a large male doggo companion to romp around the yard with. I enjoy sniffing every single blade of grass, following your every footstep, and making my way into your heart. 4. I'm very smart and catch on quickly. Will you paw-promise to give me a PHD in obedience training so I'm the bestest behaved girl around? 5. If you have been looking for a friendly, resilient, house/crate trained, overall wonderful new companion - I'm your girl! **SERIOUS APPLICANTS ONLY! IDGSR Welcomes SAMBA into the safety of the rescue!! THIS DOG IS FOSTERED IN TENNESSEE & AVAILABLE FOR TRANSPORT ************** Hiya Friends! My name is Samba and I'm a beautiful cream Shepherd mix. I am located near Nashville TN and will be available for transport. Quick Facts Age: 5yrs old Kids: teenage or adult home preferred Dogs: good with large male dogs Cats: NO cats Training: needs obedience training 1. I'm brand new to the rescue. My great foster mom busted me out of the scary shelter where I was beginning to shut down. I'm learning what it's like to live in a loving home. 2. I'm a Shepherd mix gal with shorter legs, I'm a shortykins. My medium stature would be great for someone wanting a German Shepherd look but smaller size. I'd do fine in an apartment, condo, or townhome with proper exercise. 3. I would do fine as an only dog or with a nice male companion. I'm more mellow and don't care for the high energy of young puppies or rowdy kids. 4. Being a middle aged gal, I have half decent manners. I could use an obedience refresher, it will also help us bond. Pro tip: use hot dogs or cheese & I'll do anything! 5. If you have been looking for a medium size friendly, moderate energy, house/crate trained, overall wonderful new companion - I'm your girl! **SERIOUS APPLICANTS ONLY! If you are not 100% ready to adopt, please wait** ************** ***IMPORTANT ADOPTION INFORMATION*** -ALL dogs are fostered in TENNESSEE unless otherwise noted -We do transport dogs to the east coast; a transport fee will apply -All dogs are up-to-date on vaccinations, heart-worm testing, monthly preventatives, & are spayed or neutered -Puppies under 6-months of age will require a SPAY/NEUTER CONTRACT, a portion of the adoption fee will be refunded upon documentation of the spay/neuter -An application must be submitted before scheduling an appointment to meet a dog -Dogs are introduced to prospective adopters BY APPOINTMENT ONLY -Due to the high volume of emails we receive, first priority will be given to those with submitted applications -All rescue work is done by dedicated volunteers, please be respectful of their time -Not able to adopt? I am located in Memphis TN and will be available for transport. Quick Facts Age: 1yr old Kids: fine with older kids (10+) Dogs: good with large dogs Cats: NO cats Training: needs full obedience training 1.
