Story
I am a 2.5 year old, Female, German Shepard mix.Gemma is trying to decompress after being returned from an adoption. She did not do well with their dog, and we aren't sure how she will be with other dogs in her future. She came in with another dog when she was originally given up to the shelter, so we are going to hope she is dog selective. She has been around kids and of course another dog. She has a few commands under her belt and is house trained. If you are looking for a super smart dog to call your own, she just might be the one for you. Please call to schedule an appointment to meet her. She is still very shy and will need a few meeting to get used to a new person. She is currently around 58 pounds.House trained Primary Color: Black Weight: 58 Age: 3yrs 6mths 2wks

Story
Meet Raya, a beautiful, 6 month old, Australian Shepherd/ German Shepherd mix with 1 blue eye. Raya is your typical puppy,.... energetic, clumsy, uses her mouth and huge paws to explore her world. She is 38 lbs plus and utd on shots. She has an outtie belly button that was probably an umbilical hernia at birth, but our vet says the abdominal wall has sealed over, and no intervention is necessary, but if wanted , can be repaired during spay. Raya is working hard on basic commands,.... sit, down, off, shake, and kennel. Raya is mostly housebroken, but when playing sometimes waits too long and still has occasional accidents. A consistent routine and watchful eye will help her through this. She is very clean in her crate and will stay in it all night without a peep. Raya loves to romp and chase her foster siblings, and loves chew toys! The more the better! She is easily corrected if she finds something that she shouldn't have, but loves to bring sticks and stones inside to shred. She is an expert at using the doggy door to go in and out to the fenced area. Raya has not been tested with cats. Raya is a bit mouthy and uses her feet to let you know she wants your attention like any typical puppy. She is probably a bit much for small children due to her not realizing her size. Raya is great with our family but is suspicious of strangers and will retreat if approached. Once she warms up to you, it is play all day! Cuddles happen, but she is a rambunctious pup with better things to do until she is tired. We have gotten better with the brush and nails have been trimmed a few times, but puppy energy sometimes gets in the way. Raya is super smart and picks things up very quickly! Anyone wanting a partner for obedience, or agility, or some kind of doggy sport, this girl would excel at anything you want to teach her! We are working on scheduling her spay, but if she is adopted before that, a deposit will be required which will be refunded with proof of spay. A small fee is also included for her microchip. Raya is being fostered in Rising Sun, MD. If Miss Raya sounds like the pup for you, please apply at Australian Shepherds Furever 501c3! Here is the app:https://www.australianshepherdsfurever.org/adoption-application There is a $50 REFUNDABLE spay deposit that will be refunded upon proof of spay and a $20 microchip fee which includes registration and transfer to her new family. All adoption fees are used for future rescue efforts.

Story
Gus was brought into my family on February 24th in 2019… at the time both me and my girlfriend wanted a dog so we got Gus from a friends farm house/barn. everything was going so well up until recently… my family and I have run into financial hardships and can no longer take care of him due to that reason along with my father growing in age and I’m scared gus might hurt him! Gus sadly has a ear infection along with a rash on his underside/belly… my local vets only “help” so much and have given him NexGuard and other expensive “treatments” that won’t help or fix any of his problems… I really hope someone with more knowledge and time can come along and take him in and provide him with proper treatment!!! this is honestly the last thing I want to do but with the expenses & my dad’s health I’ll need to be re-homing him sooner then later :(

Story
Meet Reign, a 10-month-old neutered male German Shepherd mix with a personality as big as his energy level! Reign is a bundle of excitement, always ready to play and have a good time. He loves to be the life of the party and is quite the talkative pup, always eager to share his thoughts with you. Reign is a jumpy boy, so he would do best in a home with kids over the age of 10 who can handle his exuberant nature. He gets along well with other dogs and would thrive in a home where he has a furry friend to play with.

Story
Hello there, I'm Oakley. I'm only 2 years young, I've still got so much life to live and I would love to see the world outside of my shelter. I'm as sweet as a sugar cookie, and just as mild mannered. I promise to greet you with a wagging tail and puppy kisses each day. I'm a good girl too, I've already learned where to do my business and the kennel staff here love me extra for it. I promise to be your best friend, your confidant, your loyal companion. Adopt me, because everyone deserves a faithful friend and unconditional love from a pup just like me. Not sure about applying right now? Come to meet me at the shelter, I will be sure to change your mind!.
