Story
* RUGER IS NOT AT UPAWS *Ruger is an 8 year old German Shepherd. He is the best adventure buddy, and lives for the outdoors, hiking, running, the lake, and snow especially. His favorites are sticks and tug a war, could happily play fetch all day. Ruger loves people, any chance to hangout with you on the couch, or outside he is there. He rides well in the car, not reactive to loud noises/storms. Good with younger children, teens, young adults. Has not been around cats before. He is good with dogs as long as they have been introduced properly. After a good exercise, he is a relaxed guy who just wants to be near you!If interested please contact Chloe at 734-790-8380 or chloeselkhoury@gmail.com!

Story
Meet Boomer Boomer is a handsome German Shepherd–Border Collie mix (50/50 DNA tested) who is ready to find his forever home. He’s a truly good boy with a big heart — and once he decides you’re his person, he is all in.A little about his personality:Boomer is sweet, sensitive, and affectionate. He loves nothing more than climbing into your lap for snuggles, leaning against you, and soaking up every bit of love you’ll give him. He’s a gentle soul who just wants to be close to his people. He can be a little cautious at first — he may bark when new visitors arrive or react to unfamiliar dogs — but with a slow, patient introduction, he warms up beautifully. He’s not reactive to his neighbors’ dogs and has lived happily with other dogs before. He just appreciates being given a moment to get comfortable at his own pace. He’s smart and well-trained:Boomer listens really well and already knows sit, down, stay, back, and spin. His intelligence (hello, Border Collie genes!) means he’ll thrive with an engaged owner who enjoys training and interactive play. His favorite things:• Swimming• Fetch with a frisbee or ball• A good game of tug• His cozy crate covered with a blanket — his safe havenA few things to know:Boomer has a managed respiratory condition and takes one tablet of Temaril P every other day — roughly $20/month through an online pet pharmacy. He does well on it and it keeps him comfortable. He would do best in a smoke-free home. He’s also still on a weight-loss journey and will need some continued support there. He’s not a fan of baths, towel drying, or nail trims — but hey, nobody’s perfect! What Boomer needs most:A patient, loving home that will give him slow introductions, a cozy crate space, plenty of play and activity, and the snuggles he so clearly craves. He’d do well with a dog-friendly companion and will thrive with someone who appreciates a sensitive, devoted best friend.Boomer has been waiting for the right match. Could that be you?
