Story
* RUGER IS NOT AT UPAWS *Ruger is an 8 year old German Shepherd. He is the best adventure buddy, and lives for the outdoors, hiking, running, the lake, and snow especially. His favorites are sticks and tug a war, could happily play fetch all day. Ruger loves people, any chance to hangout with you on the couch, or outside he is there. He rides well in the car, not reactive to loud noises/storms. Good with younger children, teens, young adults. Has not been around cats before. He is good with dogs as long as they have been introduced properly. After a good exercise, he is a relaxed guy who just wants to be near you!If interested please contact Chloe at 734-790-8380 or chloeselkhoury@gmail.com!

Story
Dutch is a striking, neutered male German Shepherd with the classic shepherd presence — attentive, intelligent, and deeply devoted to his people. He bonds strongly with his family and takes that connection seriously. Dutch is both protective and friendly, the kind of dog who wants to be near his people and share in their daily life. Whether it’s a long hike, a car ride, a game of fetch, or relaxing on his dog bed after a full day, Dutch is happiest when he’s included. He walks well on leash, is kennel trained, and enjoys squeaky toys, tennis balls, pig ears, and interactive play. He’s been around other dogs and may enjoy canine companionship, though introductions should be thoughtful as he can be enthusiastic and direct when meeting.Dutch is a loving boy who thrives with structure and clear communication. Because he can be sensitive with certain handling — especially around his hips — we recommend a home with respectful older children (approximately 12–14+) and a family comfortable reading dog body language and providing consistency. He does have some hip discomfort and takes a joint supplement with fish oil to help keep him comfortable.Dutch is emotionally aware, deeply loyal, and happiest when he feels safe and understood. In the right home, he will be a steady, devoted companion and true partner. If you think Dutch may be the right fit, we encourage you to bring your family — and any dogs in the home — to meet him and see if it feels right for everyone.
