Memaw was a great house guest while here. She was super friendly with my husband and kids (9&13) and respected the boundary of the baby gate (that was loosely set against the stairs to avoid her going upstairs where my skittish 19yo cat is). She appears house broken and enjoyed her time hanging out with our family, car rides, treats, meeting people and playing outside.  Memaw had no issues going up and down the stairs of the bi-level home after recovering from her paw injury earlier this year. She also loved running around our yard, chasing tennis balls and playing tug. She is the perfect combo of play and chill.  Memaw was such a sweet wonderful girl and she would make a great companion for anyone who welcomes her to their home.  10/24/25 Foster Feedback:Memaw is coming out of her shell and is a silly, full of life lady. She just loves being around people and is good when seeing other dogs. She loves to play with her toys, she will grab them and bring them to you, asking to play! She also has no problem informing you she wants attention!  Memaw is very good on the leash, and loves to be outside to sniff around! She is a sweet and silly girl, wanting all the love! 7/12/25 Volunteer Feedback: Memaw embodies sweetness and serenity. With her calm presence, she naturally brings a sense of ease to any environment. Whether the world outside is noisy and unpredictable or the household is bustling with activity, Memaw remains composed and unfazed. She’s the perfect companion for quiet evenings and cozy weekends, always there to offer warmth and comfort. She is a steadfast couch buddy and has a soothing presence. Memaw is a delight to be around!  &#226&#128&#139 To view additional dogs available for adoption, please see our website: www.4luvofdog.org December 13, 2025, 2:17 am

I was told  that he was nervous of men, but he met both my dad and brother-in-law and did fantastic! No hesitation saying hi! Keekai also did well with my dog. My dog is more submissive, and they had no issues. They played very well together. He really was a joy and does well walking on a leash. He wants to chase the squirrels, but with a two handled leash he was super easy to control. Keekai is a very happy guy and enjoys playing with toys and snuggling with his humans! To view additional dogs available for adoption, please see our website: www.4luvofdog.org December 13, 2025, 2:17 am

She enjoys soaking up the sun on the deck. Her giant frog is her favorite toy.  Pippi  likes to go for walks but she is a strong puller. She is pretty lazy otherwise, spending her days laying around and looking out the window. She loves going on car rides. Pippi is up to the challenge of playing with her puzzle toy and especially likes when she solves the puzzle and finds the hidden treats.. She is so smart and such a sweet dog. She just doesn’t like other dogs and tends to be protective of her person. Pippi would make a great companion for someone with no other pets or young kids.  12/9/24 Building Volunteer Feedback: Princess Pippi is still looking for her kingdom to reign over, have you got some subjects in your realm for this regal lady? She is gentle and kind and large but slow and confident. Pippi loves scratches and snuggles and playing ball. This ol gal needs a calm home she can monitor and ensure the safety of its residents.  9/12/24 Building Volunteer Feedback: Pippi is such an easy dog at the shelter, and I imagine that translates to being an easy to care for dog in her home. Pippi is such a nice gentle dog, she walks like an angel, is potty trained, and generally doesn't cause a ruckus in her kennel. Being calm in the shelter environment isn't always the easiest and Pippi has done very well keeping her cool. It is heartbreaking to see her in the shelter environment for so long but at least she is doing well. Pippi does love a game of fetch and a good walk but she also has no issue taking princess naps throughout the day.   While Pippi isn't a good candidate to live with other dogs (or pets) since she will resource guard her favorite person from other animals, she can be friendly with dogs in a daycare environment. Her out of home dog socialization is good, which is good for encounters expected or otherwise. As we have needed shelter space Pippi goes to Fetchers where she gets socializing via doggy daycare and has a very fun time doing so. Pippi would be a great companion looking for her spot to lounge. She hopes it is with you  7/19/2024 Foster Feedback: Pippi is the sweetest angel girl there is! She seemed very comfortable with me right away . Pippi loves to play ball, looking out the window, going for walks and chewing on her chew toy! Pippi is 100% potty trained and never had an accident while in my home. I did not put her in a kennel ever because she didn't seem interested in anything she wasn’t supposed to have; she didn't try to get into the garage or onto the counter! She is the sweetest girl and loves to give kisses, getting head rubs, scratches right above her tail and sleeping next to you! She deserves the best home! 5/11/2024 Foster Feedback:  Pippi has settled in quite well and is looking to be the Queen in someone's house. Her favorite things include running around the yard chasing her jolly ball, chewing on bones, sleeping next to her favorite people, playing tug of war, and carrying around her stuffed toys. She also loves going on walks around the neighborhood and the park.  Pippi knows the following commands: Sit, Stay, Lay down, Shake, High five, Leave it, Come, and Kennel. She is kennel trained, has fantastic leash manners, and is potty trained. Pippi will let you know when she needs to go outside by standing next to the door until you let her out.    At the moment, she wants to be the queen of the castle, so she will bark at dogs or strangers walking past the house. She will also bark at dogs walking too close to her. We have been working on this with her.   Pippi would make a lovely addition to any family looking for a laid back, but fun loving "bear" in their house! 4/12/2019 Volunteer Feedback: Pippi is a very happy pup! She’s always smiling and investigating new places with her sniffer. She loves squeaky toys and belly scratches. Her back foot kicks when you find the right spot! Pippi does really well on walks and would love a family that would enjoy her cuddles and kisses. To view additional dogs available for adoption, please see our website: www.4luvofdog.org December 13, 2025, 2:17 am

St Helen has loyalty that flows like lava Foster Home Feedback  10/3/25 Foster Feedback: Meet St. Helen!  Say hello to St. Helen, a cuddly little shepherd mix who’s 8 weeks old and ready for her forever family! Like most puppies, she’s full of energy and playfulness—romping around, chasing toys, and bouncing through life with puppy joy. What makes St. Helen special is her softer, sweet-natured side. After she’s had her fill of playtime, she loves nothing more than to snuggle up close for belly rubs and kisses. She’s the kind of puppy who will win your heart with her gentle charm and those irresistible puppy eyes. St. Helen is still learning all about the big world, so she’ll need a family who’s ready to guide her through training, provide lots of play, and give her the love she deserves. With patience and care, she’s sure to grow into a devoted, loving companion. Stella is a sweet, friendly, and energetic girl with a sharp mind, making her the perfect companion for someone who loves outdoor adventures. She absolutely loves going on walks and will happily join you as a walking partner. Stella is good with most dogs and gets along well with school-aged children, making her a fantastic addition to any family. She is already spayed, potty trained, and crate trained, so she’s ready to fit right into her new home. Stella is a loyal and loving dog who will thrive in a home where she can share her playful spirit and smarts with a family who adores her! Stella knows some basic obedience skills including 'sit 'and will 'come back' on whistle and her name. She is learning how to 'shake'.  Stella was recently at her veterinarian's clinic and was diagnosed with a treatable condition called hormone-related urinary incontinence, a common condition that affects spayed female dogs.
