Sir Ector is Ready for His Lead. They say German Shepherds don't just join a family; they join a soul. At 3 years old and 60 lbs, Sir Ector is the living embodiment of that breed-famous loyalty. He is a gentle, kind-hearted guy who truly just wants to be where you are. If you’re sitting on the floor, expect an oversized lap dog; if you’re moving from room to room, expect a devoted companion at your heel. The 'Good Boy' Basics: Ector has some wonderful 'house manners' already built-in. He is fully house-trained, stays off the furniture, and—miraculously—doesn't beg for your dinner while you're eating. He’s also a 'quiet' neighbor; while he’ll give a bark to let you know the dogs next door are out, he doesn't carry on or fence-fight. The 'Diamond in the Rough' Details: While Ector is a gentleman indoors, he is a high-energy athlete who is still learning his 'street skills.' The Lead: He is an enthusiastic (read: strong) puller on the leash. He isn't reactive to other dogs, but he’s definitely the one driving the bus right now. He’ll need a patient handler to help him master his walking manners. The 'Happy Hop': He doesn't jump on strangers, but when he gets excited to play with his people, he can lose his cool and jump up. He’s all love, but he’s still learning that four paws on the floor is the way to go. The '5-Minute Song': Ector is a 'Velcro dog' through and through. He gets a bit anxious when his main human leaves, searching the house and whining for about five minutes. The good news? He accepts the situation quickly and settles down for a nap until you return. The Ideal Kingdom: Sir Ector is a 'project in progress' with a massive payoff. He needs an active home that understands the Shepherd brain—someone who will provide the physical exercise and consistent training he craves. In return, you’ll get a shadow, a protector, and a best friend who will be by your side for every step you take.
