Story
Vinny is soon to be `paw-roled` from our Paws in the Pen program in partnership with the New Mexico Corrections Department! Each dog is paired with two inmate trainers and enrolled in an 8-week training program that is designed to equip the dog with a nice foundation of training that will help them succeed in their new home. Each of these dogs will go home potty and crate trained with a whole list of cues and basic behaviors; to ensure a successful adoption, we are providing four training sessions to adopters, so you can learn what your dog knows, and an invitation to weekly discounted drop-in classes. These dogs also go home with a biothane leash and collar, 6 months of heartworm prevention, are fully up-to-date on all vaccines and medications, and are spayed and neutered.Vinny is a handsome 7-month-old puppy searching for his forever home. He`s got the looks, with his striking silver-black coat, and he`s soaking up all the training in the program like a puppy sponge.Exceptionally well-behaved for his age, Vinny is very smart and eager to learn—especially when treats are involved! He picks things up quickly and enjoys positive, reward-based training. Playful and full of puppy charm, Vinny loves to have fun and engage with his people.Vinny has a gentle and happy personality that makes him a wonderful companion. Whether it’s playtime, learning new tricks, or relaxing together, Vinny will bring joy, loyalty, and love into any home. He may need a little extra time to warm up to new people, but treats help open him right up.If you’re looking for a clever, playful, and loving young pup with a beautiful coat and a big heart, Vinny may be your perfect match.

Story
I adopted her from the animal shelter almost 3 years ago. Her name is Daisy and she is almost 3 years old. She’s very sweet and loyal. She listens and is very well behaved. I am currently in nursing school and have 2 kids one who is under a year. She is an amazing dog but I live in an apartment so she doesn’t have enough space. She also doesn’t like being left home alone for 12 hours or more which is how long my shifts are. I would love to find her a family who has a home with backyard and lots of time to spend with her.
