Story
We have known Honey Bear since she was born in the late summer of 2020 in Brooktondale, NY. My brother adopted her brother and our friend adopted Honey Bear. According to the people whose dogs spawned the litter the breeds are as follows: German Shepherd, Alaskan Malamute, Belgian Malinois, Chow Chow and Pyrenees. Honey Bear spend the first 3 years of her life in Upstate NY followed by some years in New Jersey as well. Last year our friend and Honey Bear's mom decided to move back abroad to be closer to family and it wasn't possible to bring Honey Bear so we agreed to adopt her and moved her out to Santa Fe from New Jersey via road trip. Honey Bear is great in the car and was a delight on the road trip. Almost a year later we find ourselves overwhelmed by having both a dog and a toddler at the same time. We try to give Honey Bear attention and adventure but we feel she, and we, would be better off with her being rehomed to a loving new owner.
