Story
Hi, I`m Goat! I`m about 1 years old and weigh 58 pounds.Large dogs aren`t harder to love - sometimes they just need a little extra support. Ask us about our More to Love adoption resources for large breed dogs and puppies.I`m eligible for Greenhill`s Foster-to-Adopt Program! Through this program, you can foster me to see if we are a good match before committing to an adoption. Canine program staff can tell you more and you can learn more about this program here: www.green-hill.org/foster-to-adopt.Do you like...Dogs? I have struggled to appropriately meet dogs here at the shelter. If you`re interested in me and have a dog at home, chat with staff about if we might be a good fit!Cats? Unknown. Slow and supervised introductions would help set me up for success. Ask staff for handouts!Kids? I can be jumpy and excitable and don`t want to knock anyone over. I`d like to start out meeting kids 9+. Bring them to meet me!Anything else you`d like us to know, Goat? I haven`t been here long, but am already receiving glowing reviews from staff and volunteers!I came into the shelter as a stray and the above information is all recommendations based on my behavior seen at the shelter. I have no known history. Expect to learn more about me after adoption. It is unknown how this animal will do in their new home as all animals can be different with each person. It is important to take this into consideration when thinking about adopting and making sure you are prepared to work with any potential medical or behavior issues that occur after adoption. My adoption fee includes my spay/neuter, current vaccinations, permanent microchip identification, certificate for a free veterinary exam, post-adoption support and more!Thank you for taking the time to learn a little about me! If you think we would be a good match come on down and ask to meet me! I`m looking for my forever home and it could be with you!ADOPTION INFORMATION: If you live in the city of Eugene or in Lane County you will be purchasing a dog license in addition to the adoption fee. You will get to choose between a one year, two year, or three year license. This pet is located at Greenhill Humane Society. 88530 Greenhill Road Eugene, OR 97402 (541) 689-1503. Story
Penelope was found on 8/10/2026 at Knoop Avenue & Elizabeth Street in Eugene. She came into the shelter not yet spayed. If you believe this is your missing dog, please contact the shelter at (541) 689-1503. Since this dog is new to the shelter and we are still looking for their family, they are not viewable on the adoption floor at this time. The shelter staff is giving me some time to settle in and adjust to this new place. As we get to know each other a little better, the behavior team and veterinary staff will then be evaluating my needs. Please stay tuned for my updated information! Our shelter software requires that we choose a primary breed for our dogs. Visual breed identification in dogs can be unreliable and for most dogs we are only guessing at their primary breed. We get to know each dog as an individual and do our best to describe each of our dogs based on personality, not breed label. This pet is located at Greenhill Humane Society. 88530 Greenhill Road, Eugene, OR 97402 (541) 689-1503. Story
Hello, I`m Bruin! I`m about 1 year old and weigh 46 pounds. I have a medical release that staff will discuss with you further.I originally entered the shelter after a good samaritan saw me on the street struggling to walk or move. They brought me here where staff discovered that my neck was swollen to the size of a dinner plate! The vet suspects I swallowed a wasp or spider, and my swelling turned into a large abscess. I`ve received extensive medical care the last month, and am now in tip top shape! I`m super playful, silly, active, and snuggly! I love cheese, squeaky toys, and playing tug of war. I can`t wait to find my forever home!Do you like...Dogs? I haven`t shown to have great dog social skills. I`ve done well with tolerant, friendly female dogs. Please bring all dogs in the home to meet.Cats? I`m a very busy, boisterous young man. Slow, supervised introductions would be required to help set us up for success.Kids? I`d like to live with kiddos old enough to help train me to be the best boy. 10+I came into the shelter as a stray and the above information is all recommendations based on my behavior seen at the shelter. I have no known history. Expect to learn more about me after adoption. It is unknown how this animal will do in their new home as all animals can be different with each person.
