Story
Bruno was saved from euthanasia at the last minute. He had been picked up as a stray, but even though his owner knew he was at the city shelter, didn't come pick him up. He is a sweetheart. With a little training, he will be a very good boy. He is Shepherd mix and they are very loyal dogs. We have no doubt that he will be someone's best friend.*Disclaimer: This pet is located in Texas. Once adoption is finalized the pet will be transported to the adopters location for an additional fee (currently $230-$250).* The adoption fee helps to cover some of the cost of vetting the animal prior to adoption (spay/neuter, microchipping, and up to date vaccinations). Please fill out an adoption application to be considered for adoption. https://service.sheltermanager.com/asmservice?account=ch2817&method=online_form_html&formid=41

Story
Hi, I'm Donut! What's your ideal home like? My ideal home will have room for me to roam! I'm a big ol' boy who does not enjoy being left alone in confined spaces. I am people friendly and would love to hang out with you, learn new tricks, and maybe go for a swim while we're having this nice weather! What is it that staff and volunteers love about you? I am super sweet and am fun to take walks with. Staff love my big goofiness and how handsome I am!.Do you like other dogs? I'm looking to be the only dog in my forever home. What do you think about cats? I am looking for a kitty-free home.So how do you feel about kids? I can be jumpy and lacking manners which at 100 pounds can be a lot to handle! I may be able to live with older kiddos who can help train me to be the best boy. 12+Is there anything else we should know about you? I'm about 2.5 yrs old, weigh 100 pounds, and I have a behavior release stating that I am on anti-anxiety medication, am working on dog reactivity, and that I have escaped the kennel and the building here at Greenhill. Staff will discuss this with you further.I came into the shelter as a stray and the above information is all recommendations based on my behavior seen at the shelter. I have no known history. Expect to learn more about me after adoption. It is unknown how this animal will do in their new home as all animals can be different with each person. It is important to take this into consideration when thinking about adopting and making sure you are prepared to work with any potential medical or behavior issues that occur after adoption. My adoption fee includes my spay/neuter, current vaccinations, permanent microchip identification, certificate for a free veterinary exam, post-adoption support and more!Thank you for taking the time to learn a little about me! If you think we would be a good match come on down and ask to meet me! I'm looking for my forever home and it could be with you!ADOPTION INFORMATION: If you live in the city of Eugene or in Lane County you will be purchasing a dog license in addition to the adoption fee. You will get to choose between a one year, two year, or three year license. This pet is located at Greenhill Humane Society. 88530 Greenhill Road Eugene, OR 97402 (541) 689-1503. Story
Hi, I'm Virgo!Do you like other dogs? I have lived with a dog previously and would prefer a gentle pup that can accommodate my dainty play style. I'm not a girl who wants to roughhouse or wrestle! What do you think about cats? I've lived with an indoor cat previously and did well. I will need slow introductions, supervision and training in order to live comfortably with a feline friend. So how do you feel about kids? I have no history with kids, but surprise movements and noises can be scary for me. I'd like to start out meeting teens who can be respectful of my space and not push me to interact when I'm not feeling it. What's your ideal home like? I'm a shy, reserved, flighty gal. So I'm looking for a patient, quiet home that can slowly introduce me to the world on my terms. Unexpected things are very frightening to me, and my instinct is to run - so I'm looking for someone committed to showing me that everything isn't as scary as I think it is! What is it that staff and volunteers love about you? I'm very tender and sweet, but I'm also a bit of a goofy teenager! Is there anything else we should know about you? I'm just over 9 months old and I weigh 67 lbs. I came into the shelter as a surrender and the above information is all recommendations based on my previous history and the behavior seen at the shelter. Expect to learn more about me after adoption. It is unknown how this animal will do in their new home as all animals can be different with each person. Lucy loves spending time with the staff and volunteers here at SafeHaven. Lucy has been lucky enough to be an honored guest at some birthday parties here in the shelter and has loved the attention. She would very much like to continue being the center of attention in your home! A home with other animals would not be recommended for this girl. Story
Hey there, I'm Billy! I am a German Shepard and 6 years young. Playing ball and getting belly rubs are some of my favorite things. I would love an active household where I can go on daily walks and have a nice yard to play ball in. Even though I am a bit older, I still act like a young man sometimes! I even know some tricks like sitting and dropping the ball! I am a very smart, well-behaved boy that is eager to learn. I previously lived with a cat but I thought it was a little too fun to chase them around so I would do best as the only pet in your home. My adoption fee is $175. Come visit Heartland to meet me!

Story
ABBY   BREED: Malinois blend AGE: 5 months old WEIGHT: 34 lbs.   Abby is a sweet girl who loves cuddles, and playing with other dogs. She likes playing with toys and balls to keep herself entertained. Her favorite thing in the world is FOOD.    She's pretty mellow, for a puppy but, of course, loves to play, also. Good with kids, though needs help learning not to steal food from them. She can be grouchy about hands in her food bowl if she's hungry, but will not bite. (If she's not hungry she doesn't care. However, we never recommend placing hands in food bowls while dogs are having their meals.)    Abby is not a barker. In the two weeks she’s been in foster care she’s only been heard barking one time.     Presently working on potty training. She does pretty well, if you stay on top of potty breaks with a schedule. She is crate trained and sleeps in her crate every night.   To further inquire about ABBY, click on the link to submit an application. Tell us about yourself, family, other pets, and how ABBY will mesh with your lifestyle.    Qualifying applicants will be contacted by our Adoption Coordinator with next steps and an opportunity to set up a Meet & Greet.    Our process is NOT a “first come, first served” process. Our team carefully reviews and interviews applicants for the best possible fit for each adoptable pet, and potential family. We look forward to facilitating a positive and solid adoption for ABBY, as well as her future family.   *Fostered in Eugene/Springfield, Oregon   https://wigglytails.org/adoption-application/ Qualifying applicants will be contacted by our Adoption Coordinator with information about the next steps and setting up a Meet and Greet.
