Story
Link is a playful dog, that Loves to play fetch! He will race after, and fetch almost anything that is thrown! He Especially loves fetching balls! He also loves playing with squeaky toys, and stuffed toys! He enjoys going on walks! It would be extremely preferable if his new home has a fenced in backyard! He loves our fenced in backyard, and really enjoys his safe space (the whole backyard). He will stay out there for most of the day, on nice days! We are moving soon. We are very concerned on how he would do on an out of state move, so we think it is best that he is rehomed with a family that is Not moving soon. He did bark at rings and knocks, when we first got him, but we were able to get him to stop that fairly easily. He really enjoys playing, getting exercise, and taking walks!! Link will be a great dog with the right family!! Please reply if your interested in meeting Link!

Story
Meet Shadow! She is a female German Shephard born November 13, 2017 who is looking for a special family who will work with her megaesogphagus which is a condition that requires her to eat pureed food from sitting up. Dogs with this condition can live long and productive lives and we expect Shadow to as well! She’s friendly with other dogs great with kids and being trained /raised by Mary with Service Peace Warriors. Shadow is a beautiful girl who is very shy but bonds strongly and quickly with 'her people'. Like all Mikey's Chance dogs, this dog will come to you from a foster home that has provided loving one-on-one attention, socialization and some basic training, as well as quality food and exercise. Applications can found at our website mikeyschance.com. Please note that adopters are not chosen on a first come, first served basis, but full consideration is given to the best fit for the dog AND the adopter. Applications can 2-4 weeks to process, application submission does not guarantee approval for adoption.

Story
Born September 11, 2019, Lando is a male German Shepherd. He has megaesophagus so he does require eating and drinking upright in a Bailey chair but is able to just eat regular kibble while in his chair. He requires 20-30 minutes upright in his chair after eating each meal. Lando is a typical shepherd who bonds closely with his people. He currently lives with other dogs and older children. Once he warms up, Lando is very goofy and silly. We do require a fenced yard and breed experience for our German Shepherds. All dogs in adopters homes must be up to date on vaccinations and altered. Homes must have a 6ft secure fence and no children under 5. Like all Mikey's Chance dogs, this dog will come to you from a foster home that has provided loving one-on-one attention, socialization and some basic training, as well as quality food and exercise. Story
Update: Vela is as sweet as the day is long. She loves to be next to your side as much as possible. She can go in and out of the dog door and up and down the stairs very well by now! She still has the random accident in the house, but is mostly potty trained. Born July 6, 2019 Vela is a female German Shepherd mix. Here is what her foster mom says about her: Vela is a brave little love who is not afraid to go up OR down stairs! She tends to stick closer to her person, but does love exploring the backyard. She has figured out how to go OUT the doggie door, but struggles with getting in. Vela is a girl after her beauty sleep and will sometimes put herself to bed in the crate that she shares with her sister. Vela does not like to pee or poop in the crate and will hold it until morning when she will use a potty pad, hitting the mark about 90% of the time. Applications for Vela can be accessed at www.mikeyschance.com Like all Mikey's Chance dogs, this dog will come to you from a foster home that has provided loving one-on-one attention, socialization and some basic training, as well as quality food and exercise. Story
Born February 9, 2020 Lily aka Lily Bear, Lily Bell is a female German Shepherd mix seeking a forever home! This girl is a huge cuddle bug! She's that old saying Sweet and Spice and everything nice! She is spunky, lots of energy, sassy, and playful. You pick her up to hold her she usually cuddles right into your arms like a baby. She even reaches for you, with her front paws, if she wants you to hold her. Lily’s ideal family would be an active one who would include her in adventures like hiking, running and camping. Lily loves kids and want to be part of the action wherever she goes! Lily has Megaesophagus which is a medical condition effecting the esophagus, which is the muscular tube that carries food from the mouth to the stomach. She eats her meals in a custom built Bailey chair so she can remain upright 20-30 minutes after each meal. After that, she is right back to her puppy antics! Families who have adopted dogs with Megaesophagus report that the feeding process it is pretty easy and routine after you get the hang of it. Lily currently lives with several other dogs and one elusive cat. She is kennel trained, and currently learning how to ring a bell to let her people know she wants to go outside. Lily knows basic commands but gets excited and forgets sometimes. She definitely has the German Shepherd smarts and is highly trainable. Lily is leash trained and loves walks and car rides. All large and/or active dogs will require a full fenced (6ft) secure yard. No children under 5. Like all Mikey's Chance dogs, this dog will come to you from a foster home that has provided loving one-on-one attention, socialization and some basic training, as well as quality food and exercise. Applications can be found at www.mikeyschance.com and completed on a computer, tablet, and/or phone. Story
Born July 2019, Chase is a beautiful male German Shepherd. He has a very tender spirit and gentle demeanor. Chase’s favorite thing is being with his people. Chase can be anxious of new people and situations and needs a person or family dedicated to continuing to socialize him and train him to be the best dog he can be. Chase’s best fit family would be either as the only dog or with one other submissive canine sibling. We are seeking a cat free home for this Chase. He is extremely smart and already knows how to sit, lay down, leave it, drop it, shake and here. Chase just loves his stuffies and cuddles and sleeps with his favorites. Chase will require a secure 6 foot fence with adults or adults and children over 5. Applications: www.mikeyschance.com
