Story
Waffle is about 10 months old and came to me through a friend of a friend who is ill and can no longer care for him. The owner thinks he's a shepherd/pyranese mix. Looks like he'll be the size of a shepherd, but I don't see the Pyranese. I'd say he is about 70 pounds and I don't think he'll get much bigger. He's a big scardy cat and needs someone who will tell him what to do. He seeks guidance and approval. He is very submissive with dogs and great with cats. He is house trained, and knows how to sit, lay, stay, and come. I've seen him around babies and he's good with them. I don't know about grown children, though. His biggest issue is that he is scared of new people but is no way aggressive. He will bark and cower from new people. He just needs socialization. He does pull on leash a bit so needs more leash training. I have some videos of us working with him so you can see his commands. He is up to date on his shots (but does need one booster) and is not yet fixed.

Not sure about kitties, I might be a bit much and will need constant supervision around any small animals.Kids? I`d like to start out meeting kiddos 12+Anything else you`d like us to know, Pharrell? Story
Hi, I`m Hershel! I am a big lovable guy who really connects with his people! I`m looking for a home that will take me on hikes, walks and spend time with me, I am very smart! I`m about 3 years old and weigh 78 pounds. Do you like dogs? I have been pretty nervous at the shelter and not sure how I feel about other dogs. I might do best as the only dog in the home.Cats? Not sure how I feel about cats, my big size might be too much for them. Kids? I would probably do best around kids 10+ years.Anything else you would like us to know Hershel? I would do best in a home without shared walls (apartment or duplex style). I tend to voice my feelings and that can get quite loud! I came into the shelter as a stray and the above information is all recommendations based on my behavior seen at the shelter. I have no known history. Expect to learn more about me after adoption. It is unknown how this animal will do in their new home as all animals can be different with each person. Lukas was found on 1/15/2025 at River Road and Beltline. He came into the shelter not yet neutered. If you believe this is your missing dog, please contact the shelter at (541) 689-1503. Since this dog is new to the shelter and we are still looking for their family, they are not viewable on the adoption floor at this time. The shelter staff is giving me some time to settle in and adjust to this new place. As we get to know each other a little better, the behavior team and veterinary staff will then be evaluating my needs. Please stay tuned for my updated information! Our shelter software requires that we choose a primary breed for our dogs. Visual breed identification in dogs can be unreliable and for most dogs we are only guessing at their primary breed. We get to know each dog as an individual and do our best to describe each of our dogs based on personality, not breed label. This pet is located at Greenhill Humane Society. 88530 Greenhill Road, Eugene, OR 97402 (541) 689-1503.
