Story
Maverick is a 5 year-old neutered male German Shepherd who has been a loved inside dog and family companion. He is fully house-trained, up to date on all vaccinations, and knows basic obedience commands. He has no bite history and has shown himself to be a gentle, trustworthy dog with children and cats. He thrives in a familiar environment and does best with the people and animals he knows. While he is not generally dog-friendly outside of his established pack, he has done well with dogs he lives with when properly introduced. He has a high prey drive and anxiety, particularly in rural settings. He is a strong dog, and these behaviors have become difficult to address. He would do best in a structured, experienced home that understands the German Shepherd breed. Due to an unexpected move, I have no choice but to find the best option for him and his needs/attention. He’s a good boy with so much potential with the right person.

Meet Mo Mo appears to be a female Retriever mix who was found running down the middle of Highway 101 in front of The Mill Casino with Athena, Larry, and Curly. Mo was the first of the four dogs to be safely caught after several Good Samaritans stopped to try to get them out of the roadway. Thanks to everyone who took the time to help, Mo was brought to safety while efforts continued to catch the other three. Mo has several medical concerns that will need attention. She has significant skin issues and a large tumor on her back right leg. She is also very stiff and appears to be arthritic, making it seem like she would be happiest somewhere quiet and comfortable where she can simply rest and feel safe. Despite everything she is dealing with, Mo deserves the chance to go home and be reunited with the people who love her. 🔎 Help Us Find Mo's Family Mo was found with Athena, Larry, and Curly, and we are working to locate their owners. Axel was found on 9/7/26 at Dorena Dam. He came into the shelter not yet neutered.If you believe this is your missing dog, please contact the shelter at (541) 689-1503. Since this dog is new to the shelter and we are still looking for their family, they are not viewable on the adoption floor at this time.The shelter staff is giving me some time to settle in and adjust to this new place. As we get to know each other a little better, the behavior team and veterinary staff will then be evaluating my needs. Visual breed identification in dogs can be unreliable and for most dogs we are only guessing at their primary breed. Megan was found on 10/17/2026 at Cubit Street and Wagner Street in Eugene. She came into the shelter not yet spayed. If you believe this is your missing dog, please contact the shelter at (541) 689-1503. She’s incredibly dog and cat friendly, and her low to medium energy level makes her a wonderful match for a peaceful home. Sydney is being fostered in a loving home in San Antonio, TX, where she gets along beautifully with her German Shepherd foster sister. Sydney walks beautifully on a leash and makes an excellent walking buddy for those who enjoy quiet neighborhood strolls. However, her true happy place is outside—she absolutely thrives in a yard where she can explore, relax, and enjoy nature. A home with outdoor space is a must for this sweet girl. Potty trained and polite, Sydney is well-mannered around the house. She's a little shy when meeting new people or visiting unfamiliar places, so she’ll need a patient and loving family willing to give her time to settle in. Once she trusts you, she’ll show you her soft, affectionate side and soak up every bit of attention you're willing to give. Sydney is also a cozy cuddle buddy—she loves curling up next to you on the couch for some quiet bonding time. While she’s not a fan of car rides, Sydney is happy living the homebody life. We love our Ozzy boy and are sad to consider rehoming him. We had our first baby about a year and a half ago and have tried our best to make it work. Our biggest concern is him not getting enough stimulation anymore. He’s never gotten aggressive with our baby but he gets nervous when our baby goes towards him since babies don’t always know how to be gentle or behave around dogs. He loves his daily walks but his favorite thing is to be off leash and be able to roam. He has a sensitive stomach that he receives medicine for each night. We simply get a syringe and administer the medicine orally which he takes really well. It’s managed good at this point and his medicine is about $60 every month and a half. He has a big heart and we will miss him a lot. He has a super gentle nature and is instinctually a teddy bear even though he likes to act like he’s super tough. We want to rehome him to somebody post that can provide enough companionship and entertainment.
