See Courtesy Posting Disclaimer * Update Feb. 7, 2024: Georgia is in a new foster home and has lost weight. She looks so gorgeous!! We still have not had her around cats or small children, but we do believe she would be o.k. in a home with a friendly canine companion. Georgia's owner recently passed away, and now she needs to find her new forever home. She is a very loyal companion who was by her owner's side until the end. Georgia appears to be a purebred German shepherd; she is about 6 years old, house-trained, spayed, and current on vaccines. She had a 3-year-rabies vaccine in 2022, so it is good until 2025. She has lived with another dog before, and we think she could get along with an older or mellow dog. We do not know whether or not she has been around cats or children. Please help find this precious girl her new forever home! Call Debbie at 865-321-0544. [Updated 2/7/2024] *Please be aware that this animal is a courtesy posting for the owner ONLY. Story
Cody is the sweetest boy and pretty chill overall. He loves belly rubs, car rides & does best on a schedule. He doesn't play per SE, he just has never really grasped the concept .He doesn't like storms or loud noises. He's very well house trained and has never had an accident. He needs a yard to chase squirrels or lay in the sun on occasion. We are in an apartment @ the moment, which is a bummer for him & are relocating, soon, so we are hoping to find him a new, loving home. I think he would be better off with an retired person/couple, someone who might work from home or with a family with older kids. Even though there's never been a problem with young kids, I just think since he's getting older, and never been around them before, that it would be better if the kids were around 10 & older. He just needs companionship, love and company and unfortunately we can't keep him. So our loss will be your gain.. He needs his forever home ❤️

Story
Adira was found running at large in Memphis and was subsequently brought to a veterinary clinic by a kind MPD Officer. She was severely emaciated and scared. “Addie” as she has come to be known, quickly made herself at home at her Foster’s farm while she gained weight and recuperated. She is now around 65 pounds and estimated to be 2-3 years old. Addie loves to play ball, go on long walks through the woods, run, ride in cars, and snuggle. She is wonderful for baths, tolerates nail trims, and more than anything, just wants to be anywhere her human is. Although she is high energy when the opportunity presents itself, Addie would make a suitable apartment dog for someone who works from home. Her foster family works from home and she spends the entire workday snuggled on her bed beside her foster mom while she works. Addie is kennel trained, but she is a large dog and would not be suited for kenneling all day while family or individual works. Addie will do best with an active lifestyle and plenty of time for play. She does need to be the only dog as she is an alpha female and does not share her humans or her territory. Addie is deeply loyal and very protective. She is friendly to new people if her person is friendly to them. Once adopted she will travel via private transport Rescue Vet (transport cost is $160.00) to a location closest to you. Story
Everyone meet Jax! This super sweet shy guy is one amazing pup with a huge heart. Jax is going to need someone very patient with him. He needs time to adjust. That’s all he needs is time and patience. He’s timid initially, but once warmed up, he steals the show and your heart at the same time. He would probably do better with someone with another dog. Jax is great with other dogs and puppies and they help him feel more comfortable which allows him to come out of his shell quicker. He loves walks and car rides!!! Jax has fostered with two of our fosters here in Memphis and they would both be happy to give you a little more information about him. We can’t wait to find him a wonderful home of his own so he can settle in and adjust for good. Once adopted, Jax will travel via RescueVet Transport to his new family. They travel each and every weekend from Memphis, Tennessee to the north east, delivering pups along the way as far north as West Greenwich, Rhode Island. Transport is an additional $185. If you would like to make this amazing guy part of your family please follow the link below to our adoption application. Our turnaround time is typically less than 24 hours so please be prepared before you submit your application. https://forms.gle/APKvbgFJcaRvgKgk9
