Story
Molly is four-and-a-half years old and part German Shephard and Great Pyrenees. She is an affectionate and loving dog, wonderful with people and children, and doesn't know a stranger (traits of the Great Pyrenees). Molly is also very doting, loyal, and intelligent, and would not do well being left alone for long periods (from her German Shepherd's side). She loves being outdoors and is easily entertained hunting anything from squirrels to chipmunks. Molly is taking off-leash training classes to set her up for success in her new home. She would do well with a family that can spend plenty of quality time with her and have plenty of room for her to run and play. She loves children and has been known to win over a few who were afraid of dogs, simply by her gentle nature (and rolling over for belly rubs :). She would also do well with a retired couple that enjoys spending time outdoors. Pictures don't capture her amazing personality. She is truly a special dog.

Story
Sasha is being fostered in PA. Sasha needs to be an only dog. She does not like active dogs Sasha can ONLY be adopted to a home with older children or all adults. Sasha is NOT good with cats. Sasha is spayed. Christmas time is here, soon a new year will dawn, and I’m still patiently waiting for my furever home and that special family to give me lots of love and belly rubs. I enjoy walks and will do OK without a fenced yard if you take me out on walking adventures. If you have a fenced yard I will run and play with you. I just enjoy the company of peeps. I don’t care to be with other dogs, just be by myself with my humans. I am a good girl in the house…unless you leave tasty morsels of food on the counter. Then I may just have to help myself! I know Sit, Down, am learning Wait, but I don’t really want to wait, hee hee. I also do pretty well on a leash. I’m still working on some other things like no jumping up on my peeps. I just want to greet and say Hi and give kisses and hugs to my peeps. BDRA has voted against the use of electrical fencing effective immediately.

Story
Adira was found running at large in Memphis and was subsequently brought to a veterinary clinic by a kind MPD Officer. She was severely emaciated and scared. “Addie” as she has come to be known, quickly made herself at home at her Foster’s farm while she gained weight and recuperated. She is now around 65 pounds and estimated to be 2-3 years old. Addie loves to play ball, go on long walks through the woods, run, ride in cars, and snuggle. She is wonderful for baths, tolerates nail trims, and more than anything, just wants to be anywhere her human is. Although she is high energy when the opportunity presents itself, Addie would make a suitable apartment dog for someone who works from home. Her foster family works from home and she spends the entire workday snuggled on her bed beside her foster mom while she works. Addie is kennel trained, but she is a large dog and would not be suited for kenneling all day while family or individual works. Addie will do best with an active lifestyle and plenty of time for play. She does need to be the only dog as she is an alpha female and does not share her humans or her territory. Addie is deeply loyal and very protective. She is friendly to new people if her person is friendly to them. Once adopted she will travel via private transport Rescue Vet (transport cost is $160.00) to a location closest to you. Story
Otis was adopted from a family that could not care for him any longer. When we adopted him, we thought we could care for him but with two babies, it is not possible. Otis is a sweetheart and has a big heart and is very lovable with a lot of energy. He is a German Shepherd mix. He has been to dog parks and gets along with other dogs too. He would do well in a home with a person that can help him expend his energy and stimulate his mind. He is working on basic obedience (i.e., sit, stay, down, etc.) but is house trained already. Otis enjoys squeaky toys and cuddles and is a big lovebug. He is crate trained as well. He is up-to-date on shots and has been microchipped. While I have him, I am working on socializing him in public, around children and dogs, which he has been doing great. His training has been going good and just needs consistency. All his belongings will go with him as well for no extra charge including his extra large crate.
