Story
Athena was abandoned on the streets of Dallas when she wandered up onto our friends’ porch one day. We excitedly welcomed her into our little family in November but unfortunately, 2 female German Shepherds do not mix. We think she’s about 1 1/2 years old and would do great in a home by herself and with room to run. She loves cuddles, balls, and bananas. It breaks our hearts, but we want to find her a home with people who will love her as much as we do. Please reach out if you think you could offer our sweet girl the life she deserves! She weighs ~75 lbs and is up-to-date on vaccines.

Needs experienced adopter, Spayed or Neutered,
Story
Sissy was dumped while pregnant at a local abandoned restaurant. She got scared and managed to have her puppies underneath the store, so they were unable to be reached. We fed and watered her 3 times a day waiting for her puppies to wean and come out. They finally did and another person took the puppies. I took her straight to vet to be checked and spayed. She was full of worms and heartworm positive. We treated her and nursed her back to health! She’s such a loving dog and craves human interaction and company. She is not food aggressive or snappy with my other pets and has adapted to my routine very well. We had advertised on fb and found her a home, then the day they were supposed to come pick her up, vanished. I work 2 jobs and cannot keep her any longer, I am gone 9+ hrs a day and she needs to be outside and active more than I am able to render for her.

Story
Please contact Tonya Griffith (TMSGriffith@aol.com) for more information about this pet.Posted on 6/19/18, and the pictures were taken on 4/9/18 - Louise came from the Smith County, TX Shelter on 4/9/18. I had a few adoptions at that time, so I had space to tag some dogs from the shelter. I asked who had been there the longest, and needed out. Immediately I was told Louise and Sarge. Louise has joined what I call my yard dogs that get to run the fenced in area of our property instead of going in a large dog pen, and goes in a crate at night. She barked a lot at first and doesn't always like to go in the crate, but is doing much better now. She still gets anxious to get out in the morning. She is good on a leash, good around adults and children, rides well in a vehicle, LOVES to be pet while licking my arm, and LOVES getting in our water tubs.  She does not climb fencing or dig under fencing. Louise was picked up on FM 2767 and Greenwood on 3/7/18 weighing 73 pounds, heartworm positive, but as of 5/28/22 she is heartworm negative using Ivermectin for slow kill, estimated to be 6 years old in 2018, and was not doing well being in the kennels. I had her spayed on 4/14/18. Louise's adoption fee is $25, since a donation was made for her care. June 2, 2023, 11:56 pm

Story
Please contact Tonya Griffith (TMSGriffith@aol.com) for more information about this pet.Posted on 4/7/23, and the pictures were taken on 4/1/23.  Alvey was picked up by the Smith County, TX Animal Shelter on 9/1/22.  We picked him up on 9/30/22, he was already neutered, estimated to have been born in 2012, and weighed 68 pounds on 4/1/23. Alvey is deaf, and had an ear infection when we picked him up that was treated.  We thought maybe he could hear again after he was treated, but he is still deaf, so he will require a fenced yard.  He loves sleeping on dog beds, loves to be pet, is good with other dogs, good on a leash, and is crate trained.  We don't know if he is house trained.  He happily walks fast to me when he sees me, to get some attention.  He would love to spend his last few years in a home that he could give a lot of love to. $25 adoption fee, since donations were made for his vet care, and he was already neutered.June 2, 2023, 11:56 pm
