Story
Bella is THE PERFECT DOG! She is fun loving, cuddly, VERY GENTLE and great with children. She is very smart and potty trained herself. She does not chew, is great on a leash, and adapts well to any situation. She rides well in the car, does great with other pets, and is just all around an amazing dog. We are heart broken to have to let her go, and are only doing so due to family issues. We are praying she finds a loving home with a family who will take great care of her.

Story
Stout is a goofy boy that's had trouble finding his spot in the pecking order. After several months with an experienced foster/trainer, he's done so much better! Will need reinforcement and an alpha (human) owner. He's great with people/kids, good with female dogs and males that don't push for dominance. He doesn't bother cats. He's a great dog, very well mannered, rides in cars well, loves to go, crate and house trained. Foster to adopt can be a great scenario to get to know Stout and see if he's the perfect fit.

Story
Makaria is a timid, but sweet, silly girl that has either experienced some trauma, or just wasn't socialized at an early age. She has come out of her shell quite a bit, but will need a patient adopter to continue to give her time to gain her trust. She loves other dogs and children, and needs a friend to play with. We estimate her dob is 6/1/23. She appears to be a German Shepherd mix, on the small side, and is fully vetted and current on appropriate preventatives. She likes the comfort of her kennel/crate/doghouse.

Please contact Tonya Griffith (TMSGriffith@aol.com) for more information about this pet.Posted on 6/19/18, and the pictures were taken on 4/9/18 - Louise came from the Smith County, TX Shelter on 4/9/18. I had a few adoptions at that time, so I had space to tag some dogs from the shelter. I asked who had been there the longest, and needed out. Immediately I was told Louise and Sarge. Louise has joined what I call my yard dogs that get to run the fenced in area of our property instead of going in a large dog pen, and goes in a crate at night. She barked a lot at first and doesn't always like to go in the crate, but is doing much better now. She still gets anxious to get out in the morning. She is good on a leash, good around adults and children, rides well in a vehicle, LOVES to be pet while licking my arm, and LOVES getting in our water tubs.  She does not climb fencing or dig under fencing. Louise was picked up on FM 2767 and Greenwood on 3/7/18 weighing 73 pounds, heartworm positive, but as of 5/28/22 she is heartworm negative using Ivermectin for slow kill, estimated to be 6 years old in 2018, and was not doing well being in the kennels. I had her spayed on 4/14/18. Louise's adoption fee is $25, since a donation was made for her care. April 24, 2024, 12:21 am

Please contact Tonya Griffith (TMSGriffith@aol.com) for more information about this pet.Posted on 4/7/23, and the pictures were taken on 4/1/23.  Alvey was picked up by the Smith County, TX Animal Shelter on 9/1/22.  We picked him up on 9/30/22, he was already neutered, estimated to have been born in 2012, and weighed 68 pounds on 4/1/23. Alvey is deaf, and had an ear infection when we picked him up that was treated.  We thought maybe he could hear again after he was treated, but he is still deaf, so he will require a fenced yard.  He loves sleeping on dog beds, loves to be pet, is good with other dogs, good on a leash, and is crate trained.  We don't know if he is house trained.  He happily walks fast to me when he sees me, to get some attention.  He would love to spend his last few years in a home that he could give a lot of love to. $25 adoption fee, since donations were made for his vet care, and he was already neutered.April 24, 2024, 12:21 am
