She’s a great dog when she is able to spend time outdoors. Medium energy, likes to interact with other animals. Not aggressive, house trained, and good with small kids. She has some anxiety issues, which are amplified when she lives in small quarters. Allergy to chicken.

We rescued Debbi in July 2021. Vet says she is about 11 yrs old. She has been a wonderful guard dog and companion. She enjoys walks but is also perfectly fine staying in. She is not a velcro dog. She gives you your space making her low maintenance, good choice for an elderly person. She has 2 small meals a day but can even just have 1. She doesn’t like to eat first thing is the morning. She is 100% potty trained. Thunderstorms scare her as well as lawnmower sounds and fireworks. She gets along with other dogs and cats!

I believe Onyx was abandoned in our neighborhood around Christmas day. He wandered near our home on New Years day and at first we were very cautious with him but noticed that he was a very sweet dog. He had a collar on so we took him to get scanned and he is chipped but the owner could not be reached because the phone number is disconnected — if somebody was looking for him, he is not difficult to find. We started preparing to adopt him because he seemed like a great fit for us. However, after a few days he started showing some behaviors that we are not equipped to train through. We have a two year old kid and an 11 year old Boxer who is paralyzed in her back legs and he plays too rough with them for us to manage. However, he is very smart and walks well. I started clicker training him and he picked it up quick. He also does fine in a crate. I think he would make a wonderful dog in the correct living situation.

We got Rosie as a puppy. She is a very smart dog and loyal. We have moved to a farm type setting. She is not good with the chickens or the cats. She has lots of energy and just wants to play and run. She is crate trained. We worked with her before we moved but now there is no time. If you spend time with her you will see how smart she is and all that she can learn.

I rescued Happy off the euthanasia list at Corpus Christi Animal Control. She is a cream colored German Shepard mix. She did not have very healthy skin but have worked on that. She looks great now. She has had all her shots. She also has been spayed. Unfortunately she was heart worm positive. She has already been treated for that. She did really well. Despite her tough past, she is very playful and full of energy. Loves her long walks and belly rubs. She is great with kids and other dogs. Has not been around cats. Her favorite time is meal time. She loves her treats. She has been on Heart Guard Plus, which is for fleas, ticks and heart worms. Happy is ready to find her forever home where she can shower her new family with unconditional love. She is not house trained because all my rescues are in a converted horse barn. She is very smart and will pick that up.
