Story
Hi humans! My name is Princess. I thought I had a forever home but it just wouldn`t stick so I`m back in these kennels once again. Here`s what you should know- I`m a sweet and playful girl who deserves the forever kind of love. It`s looking like I`ll be happiest as the only dog in the home and the jury is still out when it comes to me having any future friendships with cats. I think we`ll have to learn the rest about each other as we go- are you in?!

Story
I`m Jake, I came to HSMC to find a new home. This isn`t my first rodeo, I have been in a couple different homes. I am just trying to find my perfect match. I will do best in a home without young children. I have previously lived with cats but I might do best as the only pet in the home, I like to be the center of attention! Come on, who doesn`t want it to be all about them? I will do best in a home that doesn`t have a lot of activity from people outside of the home, it makes me uncomfortable with all these strangers coming into my home. Don`t get the wrong idea though! I enjoy time with my family, I am affectionate and goofy, I like to play with toys and I know tricks. What do you think? Do you have a quiet home that is in need of a four legged friend?

Story
They call me Willa and tell me that I`m a special girl who deserves the world, but my troubled past makes me doubt that`s true. I was on my own for at least 2.5 weeks before getting trapped and brought to the shelter; it`s hard to go through something like that and not have trust issues. Getting to the adoption floor has been a long time coming and I`m thankful for the staff who got me here but I`m ready for bigger and better things with someone who`s love is true and won`t give up when the going gets tough. I love wide open spaces, water, fetch, jolly balls and the wind in my fur. Once I know and trust you, you`ll see the side of me that gets lost in the stress of the shelter and the uncertainty of a constantly changing environment. I don`t love other dogs and I don`t give my heart away easily but I promise I`m worth the time and the energy. (Oh and breed experience is a big plus in my book!)

WE ARE A TX-BASED RESCUE. THIS DOG IS CURRENTLY LOCATED IN TX AND WILL BE TRANSPORTED UPON ADOPTION. Please fill out an adoption application at haydudeequine.org 💙🐾 Meet Scout — A Loyal Heart Ready to Finally Belong 🐾💙 Scout is a 1-year-old, 40-pound bundle of sweetness who has somehow grown up without one very important thing… a family of his own. Born into an unwanted litter, Scout and his siblings missed out on the comforts most puppies take for granted — couches, bedtime routines, and humans who call them theirs. But somehow, Scout never let that dim his spirit. Scout is incredibly friendly, affectionate, and playful, with a heart that’s clearly been saving up love just waiting for the right people. He’s great with other dogs and kids, and greets life with a wagging tail and a hopeful look that says, “Is this my family?” His mom is a heeler/border collie mix around 40 lbs, and dad? Well… dad was apparently a traveling salespup, charming his way through town and leaving us with a mystery — possibly shepherd, possibly heartthrob, definitely good looks. Whatever the mix, Scout inherited the best parts: brains, athleticism, and a deep desire to be close to his people. Scout is playful and energetic, and would thrive with an active family who enjoys walks, adventures, games, and the kind of everyday moments that mean everything to a dog who’s waited so long. He’s the type who will happily run beside you one minute and lean his whole body into you the next, just to be sure you know how grateful he is. 🐕 Scout’s Highlights: ✅ 1 year old, 40 lbs ✅ Sweet, affectionate, and people-loving ✅ Great with dogs and kids ✅ Playful and active — adventure buddy approved ✅ Smart, eager, and ready to learn ✅ Missed out on puppyhood comforts, but not on love Scout doesn’t want to miss another second of what he’s waited his whole life for — a home, a family, and someone to love him back just as fiercely as he’ll love them. ✨ Apply today at haydudeequine.org and give Scout the happy ending he’s been scouting for all along. 🐾💙

Please fill out an adoption application at haydudeequine.org 🌼🐾 Meet Daisy — Sunshine in Fur Form, Ready to Bloom in a Home 🐾🌼 Daisy is a 1-year-old, ~40-pound sweetheart who has spent her entire puppyhood waiting for something most dogs never have to wait for — a family to call her own. Born into an unwanted litter, Daisy and her siblings grew up without the comfort of couches, bedtime snuggles, or humans who made them feel chosen. But despite it all, Daisy’s heart stayed soft, hopeful, and full of love. Daisy is gentle, affectionate, and wonderfully friendly, with a playful side that comes out once she feels safe. She does great with other dogs and kids, and has a calm, loving presence that makes you want to sit down beside her and stay awhile. She’s the kind of dog who leans in close, quietly soaking up affection like she’s making up for lost time. Her mom is a heeler/border collie mix around 40 lbs, and dad? Well… dad was apparently a traveling salespup, charming his way through town and leaving us with a mystery — possibly shepherd, possibly heartthrob, definitely good looks. Whatever the mix, Daisy inherited the best parts: brains, athleticism, and a deep desire to be close to her people. Daisy would love an active but loving home — one that enjoys walks, playtime, and adventures, but also understands the magic of slowing down and just being together. She’s ready to learn, eager to please, and so excited to finally experience what it means to be part of a family. 🐕 Daisy’s Darling Details: ✅ 1 year old, ~40 lbs ✅ Sweet, gentle, and affectionate ✅ Great with dogs and kids ✅ Playful with a calm, loving heart ✅ Smart and ready to learn ✅ Has waited patiently for her chance at a home Daisy is ready to bloom into the best version of herself — all she needs is someone willing to give her the love she’s been missing. ✨ Apply today at haydudeequine.org and help Daisy finally plant her paws where she belongs: right in your heart and home. 🌼🐾

Born into an unwanted litter, Ranger and his siblings grew up without the simple joys of home life — no couch naps, no bedtime routines, no humans calling his name just because they love him. He does great with other dogs and kids, and has that wonderful mix of curiosity and gentleness that makes you think, “Yep… this is a really good dog.” He’s the kind of guy who’s happy to explore by your side and then check in often, just to make sure you’re still there.
