Blair Needs a Foster or Adopter by March 14, 2026 to Secure Her Ride to Wisconsin
Blair is currently in a shelter in Arkansas and needs a FOSTER or ADOPTER to secure her spot on the 3/14 transport from Arkansas to Cedarburg, WI with Mutt Life Dog Rescue. A committed home is required for her to make the trip, and we’re hopeful the right person is out there.
Meet Blair
Blair is an approximately 1-year-old German Shepherd mix who is ready for a fresh start. She was found as a stray at the end of January and has been at a kill shelter ever since. Despite everything she’s been through, Blair is a super happy, friendly girl who is thankful for any attention she receives.
She does well with other dogs and is likely good with kids. Blair has not yet been tested with cats. While she is still at the shelter, her potty training, crate training, and leash manners are not yet known, but she is young and ready to learn with a loving family.
Blair weighs about 77 pounds and is ready to find a forever home where she can experience stability, love, and all the attention she deserves.
Age: Approximately 1 year
Gender: Female
Weight: 77 lbs
Breed: German Shepherd mix
Spayed/Neutered: Not yet

Blair is ready to keep moving forward and would love a foster or adoptive home to help make that happen.

ADOPTION PROCESS:
1.) Apply: Fill out an adoption application completely and submit all necessary documents.
2.) Application Decision: approved applicants will be notified via phone call and email.
3.) Foster-to-Adopt Trial Period: After approval, you have the opportunity to do a meet and greet and bring your dog home! You get a 5-day foster-to-adopt (FTA) period to make sure it's the right fit.
4.) Final Decision: By the end of the FTA period, please let us know your final decision to adopt or return the dog to our rescue.
5.) Home Visit: After the adoption process, we conduct a home visit either in person or via Zoom meeting to ensure that everything is going well with the transition and to answer any final questions you may have.
6.) Neuter/spay for puppies: for dogs who are not fixed at the time of adoption, we will reimburse for the procedure once we receive proof of spay/neuter. The procedure MUST be done at HAWS Snip Clinic in Waukesha, WI, or Wisconsin Community Veterinarian Center in Madison, WI. If you would like to go through your veterinarian or another location, we will reimburse $150 once we receive proof of the procedure. We recommend spay/neuter around 6 months old.
**Note: Adoptions are not considered final until the dog is neutered/spayed if applicable**
