Story
Meet Apollo! Apollo is a sweet boy with a heart of gold, though he wears his emotions on his sleeve. This handsome pup can be a bit of a worrier, finding comfort in quiet corners and gentle voices. New experiences and loud noises sometimes make his tail tuck just a little, but with patience and understanding, he slowly starts to bloom. He dreams of a peaceful home where he can feel safe, loved, and gradually build his confidence with his friend Presley by his side. Once he trusts you, Apollo's affection knows no bounds, and he'll shower you with the softest nudges and the most adoring gaze. He's looking for a special person who can help him navigate the world with kindness and show him just how wonderful life can be.

Story
Meet Zeus, our two year old German Shepherd love bug with a heart as big as his ears. This gentle soul didn’t get the start he deserved. He spent his early life outside 24/7 without proper care, but you’d never know it from the way he leans in for belly rubs and showers his people with kisses. He’s soaking up every bit of love at the shelter and is so ready to have a family of his own. Zeus has done well with older kiddos, but he’s a champion jumper and can accidentally knock little ones over with his enthusiasm. He’s still learning his manners, but he already knows sit and lay down, and we’re working on shake. When it comes to dog friends, Zeus is a bit particular. • He’s not a fan of large male dogs. • He prefers smaller, submissive males or smaller female companions. • He hasn’t been cat tested yet. Zeus is currently being treated for a tick borne illness (don’t worry, it’s not contagious to people or other animals). He’ll need a couple of vet rechecks to make sure he’s healing up properly. He’s also underweight and needs a high quality puppy food for a bit to help him gain healthy weight and rebuild strength. Like many shepherds, Zeus may need an owner prepared for the breed’s lifelong quirks like hip issues, back issues, autoimmune tendencies, allergies. You know, the whole shepherd starter pack. He also has a touch of anxiety and will need continued work on basic manners and confidence building. Zeus is not a dog for a first time shepherd owner. He needs someone experienced with the wonderful, complicated world of German Shepherds. Someone who understands their brains, their hearts, and their loyalty. Because once Zeus trusts you, he is going to be the most devoted, loving, goofy, kiss giving companion you could ask for. We can’t wait to see this boy shine

Story
We have had Buddy since he was a puppy and he has been the sweetest and most obedient dog. However, he has a problem chasing down our other farm animals. He has attacked chickens, pigs, sheet, cats and cows. We have him in a kennel right now. This is not a sustainable solution. We would love to find a family that lives in town. He does great with other dogs and is VERY kind and friendly to people. ZERO aggression towards humans.

Story
*** AVAILABLE FOR ADOPTION, FOSTER, or FOSTER TO ADOPT *** Meet Bubba! He is currently enrolled in our P.A.C.K. Program, a 9-week intensive program for routine obedience, agility, and handling training with a prison inmate trainer and he is just about ready to show off his new skills! His new abilities include 'sit', 'wave', 'pray' and more! New adopters should realize that PACK Program graduates will require regular, ongoing reinforcement of learned behaviors in order for them to become permanent. Bubba is a big pup whose soulful eyes just pull you in. Bubba loves meeting new people and shows no fear. He likes playing with the other dogs and may enjoy a canine buddy in his new home. He can get a little loud with his play, but he means no harm by it. He is kennel trained and house trained. He's learned lots of new tricks and can't wait to show them off. He isn't great on the leash still; it's a work in progress. Tools like a front clip harness or a gentle leader are beneficial for him. Bubba is a no cats kind of dude though. He will need to go to a kitty-free home. Bubba can have bursts of high energy and getting daily mental and physical exercise will benefit him greatly. He behaves more when he can have that outlet for his energy. If you're looking for a large new buddy, Bubba will be the loyal and lively companion you’re looking for. He will graduate from PACK towards the beginning of July. Apply to meet him today!
